Usually their service department is excellent. However, this time it took 5 days (and a total of 3 trips to the service department) to have a flat tire repaired. My service contact was effective and pleasant, however he was out sick for several days and no one else on the service team was able figure out why my car still wasn't ready for pick up - there was poor communication with me, and on one trip the service team couldn't find the paperwork I needed to pick it up so I had to leave to go back to work (they texted me 45 min. later saying they found it, but I could go back until the next day). Seriously, get your act together. More

I scheduled my son to bring his car in for the ultimate oil service I had paid for. When he brought it in, I called the service advisor, Salvador Tafoya to inquired about other service because his speakers oil service I had paid for. Right off the start, I was giving an attitude by asking various questions. Keep in mind my son is at college and is 18 years old so he is not familiar with the process. As a father, i am in Northern California, I want to make sure my son understands what is going on. I had to remind the advisor to advise of Uber service since he is waiting there. To make things worst, I had to have my son brought the car back the next day because the engine light came on after my son left. It turns out the oil cap was broken and should have been replaced. That is a very basic component that should have not been missed. Shane the other advisor who took care of my son the next day appointment was very generous and show empathy when I explained to him what had happened. I am not impressed with BMW at Santa Monica. I have been a BMW consumer for over 20 years, owning several vehicles. This exchange with Salvador left a very bad taste in how my son was treated. As a parent, I do not like how he was treated, period! More

Brought the car in on a Tuesday with a promised pick up on Friday. Never heard anything, took me several calls to get through. At one point got patched together with another customer in the line, completel on Friday. Never heard anything, took me several calls to get through. Service technician was unresponsive and hard to get a hold off, took several calls to get responses and none of them were definite. All in all a week total to get the car back for an inspection. Very frustrated, can't recommend that dealer, they used to be much better in the past. More
