San Marcos Toyota went above and beyond for me. I worked with Daniel for a little over a month, discussing the exact car I wanted. He was very helpful and just as excited as I was. When the car came in, Dan with Daniel for a little over a month, discussing the exact car I wanted. He was very helpful and just as excited as I was. When the car came in, Daniel made sure to give me the heads up to come in a test drive it. I decided to purchase the car the same day! I really appreciate San Marcos Toyota and Daniel, for providing such a fun experience. More
Worst service department I have ever used under new management. Since owner changed, I have had three very poor service. With the past owner you could bring your car in for express service for an oil c management. Since owner changed, I have had three very poor service. With the past owner you could bring your car in for express service for an oil change, tire rotation or regular service checkup and it was completed in 30-45 minutes. After management changed, it took 1 and 1/2 hour for an oil change. Management told me there are under construction and to make an appointment. Next time, I made and appointment for a 25,000 mile check, took an hour and 45 minutes. Complained they apologized again. Came by today without and appointment and they no service advisor came out, a kid from the shop tried to help, he talked to the service advisor who would not come out and told the kid to tell me it would be 3 hours to get to my car. NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN!!! FIND ANOTHER DEALERSHIP AVOID THIS ONE!! More

Avoid this dealership at all cost!!! THUMBS UP A NEGATIVE REVIEW IF YOU DECIDED TO AVOID THIS LOCATION. LET THEM KNOW CUSTOMER SERVICE MATTERS. During December of 2021 this dealership was able to take full advantage of my misfortunes and use the COVID-19 induced supply chain issues to their full benefit. Cliff note version of my experience: - Day 1 took 10+ hours, Day 2 took 4+ hours. - Day 2 found an Opossum under the hood of the car. - Every car comes with a security service charge (APEX, a knockoff version of LoJack) of $1,000 on top of the sticker price. - During negotiations it was agreed to have new tires put on the car, yes they put new tires on, but they were the wrong size, and they refused to fix it. - Day 3 went to pick up the car, found a cracked/chipped windshield (they covered it up with dealer stickers), 2 hubcaps were missing, they lost a floor mat, and again the tires were wrong. - Filed a complaint directly to Toyota, the dealership called me and offered to buy the car back instead of fixing the windshield or fixing the tires. Down right refused to put the correct tires on, but wanted to buy the car back 🤷♂️? - They did have 2 hubcaps delivered to my house after I was able to prove the car had 4 hubcaps originally with the photos I took, but they did try to lie about it. Long Version Bill Ferguson and Craig Otsuki may be the sleaziest managers I have ever dealt with in all my life. A $1,000 charge for Apex with every vehicle and no concessions accepted to have it removed, it’s ridiculous and is nothing more than a money grab for the dealership. I also found a Opossum under the hood of my vehicle after my mandatory test drive. I the consumer was the one who removed the Opossum from the belly of the engine. Then during negotiations for purchasing the vehicle I requested new tires and break pads on the 2015 Toyota Prius as they were very worn. When I went to pick up the vehicle, 2 hubcaps were missing, and a rear passenger floor mat. I had to argue that is not the way it was when I bought it. Luckily I had pictures to prove I was right about the hubcaps and that was rectified. Upon further review there was a crack in the windshield that was covered up by excessive stickers from the dealership when I bought the car. Of course I got nowhere in having that replaced, but I also noticed the new tires I requested was the wrong size for the car and I asked to have that fixed. After several calls and text messages this dealership claims that the tires are fine for the vehicle and they will not correct it. I am so fed up with this process and all I want is the correct tires put on my Prius. This dealership decided to put 195/60R15 tires on the car when the owner’s manual, every tire site online (to include their website), and the sticker on the car says 195/65R15. It’s absolutely ridiculous to nickel and dime me over stupid petty crap like the correct tire size. I have fought and fought to have this rectified and have received no resolution. I guess during negotiations when they say "we'll put new tires on the vehicle" that just means whatever they have lying around. Get the tire size in writing!!!It's clear whoever was in charge of cleaning up this vehicle placed the wrong tires on the car, lost 2 hubcaps, and lost a floor mat. I have purchased and serviced 8 vehicles at 20+ Toyota dealership around the country, and this is by far the worst dealership I have ever had to deal with. Yes the obvious answer was to walk away, but my alternatives would have been worse for me and my family. The more I became invested the harder and harder it was to walk away. Yes I made mistakes and if I could do it all over I would. Learn from my mistakes or avoid this location all together. More

Do not do business with San Marcos Toyota. My husband communicated all week with a salesperson about a Sienna we were interested in. We set a time to see the car as we live over an hour away. The morning communicated all week with a salesperson about a Sienna we were interested in. We set a time to see the car as we live over an hour away. The morning of our appointment, we get a call that it was sold the previous night. They NEVER told us our appointment would not hold the vehicle. They don't do deposits there to hold cars (which most other Toyota dealerships do) but it was NEVER communicated to us that we had the chance to lose out on the car. Why did they not tell us this? We would have made arrangements to come sooner. Again, do not give this dealership your business/money. For how much cars cost, you deserve better upfront business practices. Extremely disappointed! Scheduled an appointment to get my college son's vehicle looked at while he is at school- his brakes were noisy and he needed an oil change. The service inspection report stated my son's brakes were still looked at while he is at school- his brakes were noisy and he needed an oil change. The service inspection report stated my son's brakes were still at a 9 so no service was needed on the brakes. He called and said that he was afraid to drive the car because the brakes were so loud, so we came to San Marcos and picked up the vehicle- ended up having to get it towed to a different dealership because the brakes were very loud and actually not working well at all. The other dealership in Austin rated the brakes at a 0, and all that was actually left was the rotors. We feel like Toyota San Marcos was so rushed that they actually did not even evaluate the brakes or pay any attention to the noise it had to have been making when it was driven into the service bay. Very disappointing and dangerous for my son and us. I expect more from a Toyota dealership. More
Scheduled an appointment for a specific time to look at a specific vehicle. Filled out the finance application. I get there only to find out that the vehicle wasn't ready to leave the dealership. I drove thr specific vehicle. Filled out the finance application. I get there only to find out that the vehicle wasn't ready to leave the dealership. I drove through a pouring rain and wasted two hours of my time to arrive only to find out what they could have texted me or called me to say. I was prepared to buy a vehicle today. Seriously disappointed in the poor customer service. Their online "text" person "Sandra" is somebody in India who asks if I wanted an email or phone call from the sales manager. When I say email, I get a "response" that she is "real" and that I can call them rather than getting a phone call from the dealership. Does this sound like a dealership you would want to do business with? Yeah, me neither. More
