False advertisement of certified used cars The first of many to come posts... DO NOT PURCHASE A USED VEHICLE WITH OVER 100000 MILES ON IT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! I bought a Cadillac Escal The first of many to come posts... DO NOT PURCHASE A USED VEHICLE WITH OVER 100000 MILES ON IT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! I bought a Cadillac Escalade with 114000 miles on it on Saturday evening, drove it an hour and a half home and opened the hood to find the water pump leaking. I added about a half gallon of water. I proceeded to jack the vehicle up Sunday morning to find all of the support brackets for the front bumper broken and hanging off. I drove it Sunday around town and discovered the motor mounts to be broken... slamming the engine back if you take off quickly, which I didn't do while test driving around the dealership. I called first thing Monday morning to get the run around. Then I get the sales manager, who tells me, "you got an as is car, it's as is ".... basically xxxx off, it's yours now... Here's my problem, I understand what as is means, but you had the car parked directly in front of the Certified used cars sign. While we were haggling, the used car manager stated that " the car has been gone through and even had brakes put on it".. So, I finally talk to the GM, Kevin... he says drive it back,we want you to be happy . I did this ,wasting 3 hours there and 3 hours back. The next day I am told it's nothing but unbalanced tires shaking and the water pump is "only seeping ".... WELL GUESS HOW MUCH A WATER PUMP IS ALLOWED TO LEAK ....... NONE!!!... it was bad when I bought it!... I work on cars for a living...... the sway bar links under the car are dry rotted and gone. I don't know who's looking at the cars for them, but they have no clue or don't care... Bottom line is they charged me book price for a car that needs money put into it to be roadworthy and 1 hour after the sale, told me it's my problem. We came to Tameron from Chelsea,AL passing many other dealerships on the way,thinking that Tameron would be a safe choice if something was wrong....... WE COULD HAVE STAYED A LOT CLOSER TO HOME AND GOT SCREWED ON A CAR!!! MY new 2nd job is to warn anyone not to buy a used car from these dishonest people.. This is the first of many posts to come.... I will add pictures of the broken parts. Please comment "thank you " on this post to confirm that you will not be doing business with these people. More
