We drove two hours for a 10 a. m. accessory install on two new 2026 GMC premium vehicles. Staff told us the day before this would not take long. Today the work took over six hours. Yesterday took five hours. At 2 p.m. staff said emblems were being installed. The technician then took a full hour lunch break while our Yukon sat unfinished. No updates. No ownership. The service manager blamed a new technician instead of fixing the process. Our salesperson mishandled our accessory orders and attempted to charge us twice on two separate items for both vehicles. We are a family that chooses to support family-owned businesses. We did not feel our business mattered or respected after the sale. Installing emblems requires surface prep, alignment, and adhesive set. Schwan GMC in Mandan completed the same work for us in under two hours. We received no loaner, no courtesy ride, and no service recovery. We removed the 1,400 dollar oil change packages because a simple oil change here takes two to three hours. The money and time hold no value under these conditions. This was not a single staff mistake. Failures stretched across sales, service, and management over two full days. Wrong timelines, double charging attempts, no loaner policy, a technician leaving mid-job, and leadership blaming new staff point to oversight at leadership level. We will never return. We will stay with the service standards at Schwan GMC in Mandan. This experience taught us where our time and money belong. The worst Service and dealership in Minot. They do not care about their customers and do not fix any vehicle that you bring in. Terrible service. Although they are located in Military Base city, this dealership does not look out for our service members. My military son purchased a used truck from them in Sept. 2020; paid $24,000. Had work done to the truck and had to replace the tires at a cost of $800. He was given an over-seas assignment and had to sell the truck back to them in June 2023, less than 3 years later. They only offered him $17,000. Due to budget cuts his assignment was cancelled less than a week later, so he went to them to buy it back. They wanted $24,000. for the same truck, $7,000. less than they had just paid him. Obviously, he didn't have that kind of money since they only gave him $17,000 less than a week before. Service Members, Beware of this Dealership! Apparently, they are not grateful for your service to our country! More
