Service was to install summer wheels on car in place of winter. Wheels were already mounted, so putting them on was all that was required. A couple of days later I had a strong vibration and knocking noise winter. Wheels were already mounted, so putting them on was all that was required. A couple of days later I had a strong vibration and knocking noise in front end. Took car to local garage where they confirmed that none of the wheels nuts had been tightened. This could easily have lead to a serious accident. When I advised Subaru Service Manager (John Brock)he responded 'thank you for telling us'. Not an acceptable response for such sloppy work on a very basic job. More
What a great dealer. Took the time to explain to me what was wrong with my car when 2 other Subaru dealers and one independent shop could not. I have been going back to them for the last 30k miles. Service was wrong with my car when 2 other Subaru dealers and one independent shop could not. I have been going back to them for the last 30k miles. Service personal is great. Nice showroom, and waiting area. The service tech's are pro's. They cost a little more than the quick lube, but they never spill oil all over my car like the jerks at quick lube. More
I have a 2003 WRX that has 185,000 miles on it, in the course of my cars life I have had it at 4 different Subaru Dealerships. Recently my car wasn't running "right" so I decided to try Mt. Olive, far an course of my cars life I have had it at 4 different Subaru Dealerships. Recently my car wasn't running "right" so I decided to try Mt. Olive, far and away the best first impression I have had so far of a Subaru dealership. They diagnosised the problem and made recomendations that they took thier time explaining to me. They needed to order a part so they had the car for 2 days but were able to give me a nice loaner. Best part is the car is running better than it has in 2 years. I live less than 10 miles from Flemington and work close to Loman Subaru but have defintly been won over by Mt Olive. Thanks! More
While one extensive service was done well a few years back (I had priced the work, but chose them because they were new and local, thinking they would want to win me over). I brought in another subie fo back (I had priced the work, but chose them because they were new and local, thinking they would want to win me over). I brought in another subie for a service bulletin, which they initially tried to talk me out of because "it isn't a recall" and they doubted that my reported complaints were related to the problem. After that service was done, the check engine light came on a week later, which I was able to trace using a check engine light code reader and track back to a small vacuum line they had removed and put back that was no longer fitting tightly (about $1.50 worth of vacuum hose at the auto parts store). However, there was heavy pressure to spend a ridiculous amount of money to replace a cabin air filter (they wanted something like $150 to install a part that can be purchased online for about $10-15 from a name manufacturer like Fram). The coupon offers for service that I get in the mail are significantly more expensive than the 2 other Subie dealers I have worked with. Too bad, because if they were reasonable, I would use them since they are closer to home. More
I recently visited Mount Olive Subaru in search for a 2009 Subaru Legacy, I walked in on a Saturday morning, looked around for a about five minutes and sales associate stopped me and asked if needed anyt 2009 Subaru Legacy, I walked in on a Saturday morning, looked around for a about five minutes and sales associate stopped me and asked if needed anything. I told him that I was looking to trade in my 2006 vehicle and would like a test drive. The associate said they're all VERY busy and no test drives were available, he did say to hang around and someone will help me. After standing around for a while, I finally walked over an associate (different person) and asked if he could help. The new associate was definitely friendlier and said I should come back during the week to get my car evaluated and test drive, I looked at him and said, "no thank you, I'll go else where". How does a dealership expect to do business with people that work during the week and the weekends are their best time to check out new vehicles??? In any case, I left, went to contacted Flemington Subaru, got myself into an 2009 Legacy, 6cylinder, with everything, except navigation for $6k less than invoice price. Flemingon was great!! I drove there twice, took two test drives, very thorough, helped me with my trade and focused on me....I mean, I'm spending $20K + on a car, they were great! I even got a tin of cookies from Flemington Subaru thanking me for my puchase, now that's customer service and I'll definitely buy from them again. I live in Hackettstown and while it would be nice to buy locally, I was very disappointed and had a horrible first impression. Hope they change the way they handle their customers during busy times - it lost them my deal! Thanks Flemington Subaru!!!! More
