Let it first be noted that I did a lot of research prior to stopping by Subaru 46, as I was looking for the perfect pre-owned/used car. I had a BMW picked out before I even arrived, so when I got there, I to stopping by Subaru 46, as I was looking for the perfect pre-owned/used car. I had a BMW picked out before I even arrived, so when I got there, I simply perused the lot until I found what I thought was the car I was looking for. When the kind salesperson approached me in passing, asking if I could be helped, I made it easy for him and told him exactly what I wanted. I further discussed the vehicle's condition with the friendly staff, and after further inspection of the vehicle myself, and a test-drive, I pressed onward into the purchasing of the vehicle. Mike helped me figure out what plan of action would work best for me, and I sat down with Anthony to close the deal. I was pretty needy in terms of explanations and time, as I wanted to be sure I was making the right decision, after all. But the two men were very patient with me, even as there were other shoppers waiting, who also needed to be attended to. There were a few minor paint/body touch-ups that I wanted done to the car, and I was easily able to get a great deal for that even, through the dealership's network. That was clutch, for me, and much appreciated. I have now driven my vehicle hundreds of miles and am still as happy with it as the day I was able to take it off the lot. I would recommend the dealership to even my closest of friends, and I would say the number-one reason to go would be their pricing, at least on their pre-owned selection. More
I went to this dealership to buy my lease. My husband normally takes the car for service, so I don't get an opportunity to visit here often. The staff was friendly and Paul made purchasing my lease easy. normally takes the car for service, so I don't get an opportunity to visit here often. The staff was friendly and Paul made purchasing my lease easy. Not to mention, they have great coffee! Since we had time on our hands while waiting for the paperwork, we decided to look at the cars in the showroom. They have a newer version of the car I was buying and even though we were buying my lease, we had a few questions. The sales staff was really great and answered all our questions. The reason I find this amazing is because they knew there wasn't a sale involved since we were buying our lease. They were just nice guys. The owner of this dealership even went as far as to have our car detailed for us. In this day and age when customer service doesn't seem to mean much to a lot of companies, it is nice to know there are still some who appreciate your business. I will recommend Mt Olive Subaru to everyone. More
What a buffoon I must say! For those who have visited this dealership, you know exactly what I am talking about. Great showroom, friendly warm atmosphere which is so inviting and a great selection of this dealership, you know exactly what I am talking about. Great showroom, friendly warm atmosphere which is so inviting and a great selection of cars to choose from. Great salesman, extremely friendly, willingness to listen and spend time helping us make our purchase. Was ultra polite, professional, and willing to go over the top to earn our business. We made the decision to purchase from this dealer because we were so comfortable with our salesman and he certainly earner our business. He was extremely thorough and took the time to follow up with us and answer additional questions that we had. He never pushed us into a corner and never made us feel uncomfortable in making our decision. Our hats off to this true gentleman that I hope replaces his thieving manager. Wham! Reality sets in and the mirage disappears as soon as we were walked through the door of the supposed General Manager / Sales Manager / New Car Manager / Used Car Manager. Inside that cage we were greeted by one of the most impolite, condescending, demeaning and unprofessional "business people" we've ever met. Doesn't even have the decency to look us in the eyes as he's trying to pull a fast one on us. As we questioned him about a particular fee, he continued to try to avoid the question and run circles around us. Again, so unprofessional and I understand that everyone needs to earn a living... just be honest and when you are caught, admit to your mistake. Well we left and were certain that we would not be coming back, if it wasn't for our salesman following up with us again and smoothing the situation over. We purchased, but solely because our salesman was able to iron out the situation. I would give all 5's to the salesman and 0's to their management. More
WARNING: Dishonest Sevice Manager!!! I've owned Subaru's for over 10 years and I have always trusted the delearships with servicing my cars. Well I will never again trust this dealership. I took my car for for over 10 years and I have always trusted the delearships with servicing my cars. Well I will never again trust this dealership. I took my car for a $34.95 oil change, just a regular service. Well the service manager said they did their usual all points check and found my windsheild wipers totally torn and he said they would not be usable, I told him I didn't seem to have any issue. That is when he told me didn't I think I needed to see when I drove my baby around. That scared me enough that I agreed to the new wiper blades. Even though he never told me the cost. When I went to pick up my car, I was given a bill for over $110. The explanation given was the cost of the wiper installation which was $56 alone. When the manger was question he blatently lied and said he had advised me of the cost. I am sure I was never advised, my family does not have the free cash for that big of an expense. More
I recently purchased a used Subaru Tribeca from the lot. The sales guy used most of the sales tricks, and I felt very pressured to make a decision. I requested to test drive the vehicle, and it took nearly a week for them to "service" the car and get it in tip top shape. When it was finally ready they wanted me in the dealership within hours - not really caring that I put down a deposit to hold the vehicle. After I test drove the sales rep called about 10x to find out if I would buy. I should have walked away at this point, but I had been searching for a car for several months and I thought that this dealership may have had my best interest in mind - but at the end of the day its just a sale. They were inflexible on getting the price down and they did not offer the online promotion that brought me into the dealership in the first place. I did research on the vehicle and felt that it was competitively priced, but should have done better in getting the price down - especially given that some of the information the sales person gave to me was not necessarily accurate. He did not seem to be very educated about the car - even down to telling me that a plastic piece attached to my key ring (holds the key and auto unlock) was a magnet - which it clearly was not. Why would you make up answers? The Finance Manager put all the numbers together while I was out, and jacked up my loan by .02% -not a big deal- but now I have to call to ask why it is not the % he originally quoted. Given that I was in a hurry to make a decision they were able to take advantage of the situation. And of course after reading some of the recent reviews, I should have done more thorough research on the company (not only the vehicle) and went with another dealership. Although I am fairly pleased with my car choice, I am not at all pleased with my overall experience. I did get the Subaru Advantage (which they offer to everyone that walks in the store) so I will be in for regular washes and oil changes - at that time I will determine how well they service the vehicle. Unfortunately, I can't take back the decsions I made. This expereience was a good learning lesson in how and where to purchase a vehicle. And I hope all of these reviews will help future patrons in making an informed decision in working with this team. More
The truck was isnt in the shape as advertised but no problems that cant be ironed out....During the test drive i inquired, what was found wrong with the vehicle, i was told he is not sure, they dont run problems that cant be ironed out....During the test drive i inquired, what was found wrong with the vehicle, i was told he is not sure, they dont run em thru the shop but it is in excellent shape, well not quite, during my brief test drive i found the steering wheel completely worn out, drivers window glass broken, headliner water stained, missing rear cargo cover, and the rear entertainment headphones no where to be found. I continued on asking about the warrnty that was posted in the window, well he didnt know what it had but will find out. I liked the vehicle so asked what can we do on the price, i have cash no messin with financing or anything else. so he introduces me to the numbers guys who will iron it all out, so i was told. This was the rudest and most disrespectful person i have ever met, begins by introducing himself, all while totally and obsessively chewing gum at the same time....btw i would have scolded my kids for acting like this! After roughly a half hour he calls us in to his office and we begin the process of what it will cost.....somewhere in the middle of all this he spits the gum in the trash and begins obsessively eating hershey kisses uncontrollably while talking with us.....i always enjoy looking at what in someones mouth....he finally lands on 12,200 with fixing broken glass and a 6 month powertrain warranty. I honestly had enough of the rudeness and said i will think about it. I figured the only nice thing to do was call and explain why i left, sorry but that was too much, so i called and told him im not dealing with that person, it was soo disrespectful, he completely understood,in front of my mother and younger sister no less, manners and respect are very important, I also told him i was willing to do $11,750. and the repairs but not with the other person. He said he would talk to the owner and call me back, fifteen minutes later he calls, and says the owner says price in the window is it! but since we had these issuse he would do $13,200. WOW a thousand more than before.....SO dishonesty and rudeness stem from the top at rt 46 subaru!! FOR ANYONE SHOPPING FOR A CAR, I SUGGEST STAYING AWAY FROM THERE! update..... after sending this mail recieved a call from someone who assured me he would talk to owner and get this settled, after all at this point we were only $200.00 apart in price!..... 24 hours later still no response............ update..... i was tired of waiting for the promised call, so i called, spoke to same gentleman i spoke to yesterday and was under impression it was handled....NOT!....I was then told owner was aware of situation and the deal he gave me was it..................unusual....Truth be told i am a general manager at a large equiptment sales store, personally i would have made this right and never belittled the customer, at the very least offered what my staff had offered with some kind of apology, not completely ignore them.....my quest continues for a vehicle....... hope this helps future buyers More
Wife and i saw a Tribeca on their lot and started to talk price. A dealer in Maryland had the EXACT same car for $3000 less. I told the sales rep and his boss, come down $1500 to meet me in the middle nd we price. A dealer in Maryland had the EXACT same car for $3000 less. I told the sales rep and his boss, come down $1500 to meet me in the middle nd we sign now. They said they couldnt. Went to MD and had every service done at Mt olive for free from MD service plan we purchased.Service guy tried to talk to me like im an idiot and tried to scam money from us by "accidentally" putting wrong VIN in computer, Amazing how quickly he changed his attitude after he got a call from Subaru of America. The tech i dealt with was very nice and actually was upset the dealership lost our sale. Im still awaiting a reply via email for information on a new subaru coming this spring. yep...... still waiting. How they sell cars is beyond me . More
My regular service place knew I was going to this dealer for a recall; he warned me they would pressure me into all sorts of service that was unneeded - in fact, a recent customer of his with a loose hose o for a recall; he warned me they would pressure me into all sorts of service that was unneeded - in fact, a recent customer of his with a loose hose on the power steering fluid system was told she needed $2000.00 of repairs...this was after my regular service place simply replaced a leaking hose! John Brock called my wife and basically said the car was unsafe to drive and needed almost $2000.00 of repairs as a result of items they found during the recall; I told John Brock that their service has a reputation for being abysmal and deceitful; I will post the total for the 'needed repairs of $2000.00 from John Brock' that my regular service place will find ACTUALLY necessary...JOHN - I WOULD NEVER NEVER BUY A NEW CAR FROM YOUR DEALER! JOHN = TOTAL COST FOR NEEDED REPAIRS = $530.99! Shared on Facebook, Yahho and Google as well as with every Subaru owner I know in the area! More
I had my subaru in for servicing where they did a complete check up, changed the oil, etc. The following week, I had a little trouble starting it. I called John in service and asked him if he checked complete check up, changed the oil, etc. The following week, I had a little trouble starting it. I called John in service and asked him if he checked the battery during my recent visit. He said that the servicing did not call for checking the battery but they did check the cables and battery terminals. I brought it to Sears to have the battery checked and they said the battery is fine and the reason I was having trouble is because of the corrosion on the battery terminal. I called John the next day to ask why they didn't perform the service that I paid for and they claimed they had. He called me back after speaking to the tech that worked on my car and said the tech didn't remember my car (what a surprise). I advised him that he lost a customer as they did not perform the services that I paid for and they represented that they performed. If you want an honest dealership for servicing your Subaru stay far away from Mt. Olive Subaru. I do have a pix of the corroded terminal which I tried to upload but not sure if I was successful. More
