Bought a car from rt 44 Toyota. 2018 Ford edge. We got what we thought was a great deal at the time, our salesman made the whole process really easy, I wish that was the end of this 2018 Ford edge. We got what we thought was a great deal at the time, our salesman made the whole process really easy, I wish that was the end of this story. When we purchased the vehicle we explicitly stated we would be using this vehicle for a trip on our honeymoon the following weekend. On the night we brought the car home, the driver's headlight was out sand the heat didn't work. I emailed my salesman and he asked me to drive back am hour and a half, let his service department look at it. The next day I did just that. Sat at the dealership for an hour and a half finally the service advisor told me there was lack of coolant in the system and they filled it and the heat now works. I left, the heat did work. At this time there was no indication that they researched why there was no coolant to provide heat. During the following week I worked and prepared for my vacation/wedding/honeymoon, I noticed the lower engine cover was barely hanging on. I then messaged the salesman again, he said to bring it by and they would fix it. I did I was told they put new pins to hold up the cover, but on reality they only zip tied the piece on. 1200 miles into our trip it falls off. During our trip we noticed the vehicle was skipping a bit during acceleration, being the vehicle was higher miles I assumed it just needed a spark plug change. During the trip I message my sales person all this info and he states he is sorry and he has never had anything like this happen in his 10 years... We finally make it to our destination, Charleston South Carolina and things seemed ok. The next morning we go out to our car and start it, it idles very roughly and white smoke comes out the exhaust. Check engine light... Bring it to the local Ford dealership and they diagnose it as needing a new long block, $8400 repair. We just bought the vehicle for $15000. After three days of attempts to get this situation rectified by talking to management, service, sales, attempts to reach the general manager, owner all for not. The service manager states we are outside the mileage for lemon law etc... We are currently stuck with a vehicle we can not drive back to cape cod and no way to pay for the required service. Rt 44 has definitely made this a horrible situation and due to the stress and rt 44 telling us they were going to call us back, is waiting at the dealership for 5 hours with no return call. Next day they refuse to help on any way... We couldn't get married like we had planned and our vacation ruined. Thanks Rt 44 Toyota More
Bought a Toyota Tundra from here. They sold me a cover for the bed. I thought it was OEM turns out it was aftermarket and did not properly fit my truck. When I reached out to the deal They sold me a cover for the bed. I thought it was OEM turns out it was aftermarket and did not properly fit my truck. When I reached out to the dealer I was given the run around. Will not be back to this dealer to do any more business. More
Went to the dealership twice. First time we couldn't agree on the price per month. A few days later they called me up to say they could meet the price that I was looking to pay per month and asked me to come back in. I questioned the person a few times making sure that this was a finance not least and that it was exactly what I was looking to do. They guaranteed me this was exactly what I wanted so I agreed to come back in. Came in spoke to a new salesperson explain the situation to him took the vehicle out for a test drive. Said okay let's do it. He then talk to the finance department and they said they couldn't do the price that I wanted them to do and that was a mistake of the first person that I spoke to. I would recommend going elsewhere. More
Very disappointed with Route 44 Toyota! I brought my suv in for the 15,000 mile oil change and an oil leak, tire’s wearing wrong and drive belt frayed. Service writer said let’s deal with the oil leak first, they said they fixed the oil leak and did the 15,000 mile service. I got my receipt and noticed they bumped up my service to a 20,000 mile service!! I asked about this and was told they had to do an oil change that’s why. So I called Toyota because if they had to do an oil change then that should have been covered by the warranty work done. Toyota said that it is covered under warranty, so Toyota had the relations manager call me, he lied to me and claimed I requested a oil change even though I just had it changed about a week earlier.he was useless and only offered me a oil change or a tire rotation for robbing me of my 20,000 mile service!! They can keep their tire rotation! I will never go back and many people will know about my experience with Route 44 Toyota!!! Buyer Beware!!!!!! More
BUYER BEWARE! ! Where do I begin with the nonsense?? This dealer harassed me via phone & text for days after I had cancelled the deal, which I cancelled because whe ! Where do I begin with the nonsense?? This dealer harassed me via phone & text for days after I had cancelled the deal, which I cancelled because when I went in to pick up my brand new car they tried to switch me to a leased vehicle, thinking I wouldn't notice! (Who puts $5000 down on a lease????) The story switched multiple times of who was at fault, and then I received a text the day after I already had received my deposit back & very clearly had cancelled the deal & asked to stop being contacted by the salesman asking "are you still upset or are you ready to be reasonable?" DO NOT EVER BUY A CAR HERE!!! SHADY SHADY SHADY!!!! More
Terrible dealership, lie just to get you in there. do not recommend.Purchased a car a few years back .once it arrived they had a champagne color car waiting instead of the charcoal grey we ordered.call do not recommend.Purchased a car a few years back .once it arrived they had a champagne color car waiting instead of the charcoal grey we ordered.called on a stuck odometer for a known Toyota issue.they said they could do it along with tires I needed for a sticker. Just got the tires for twice the price of a tire shop and got the ‘ nothing we could do for the odometer’ which was my major concern. Won’t ever go there again and will spread the word how deceiving they are More

Most of them weren't advertising their real price, others were selling at a fair price but only if I bought several packages. 44 did not of that- they're incredibly transparent and honesty. I worked with Marlon and highly recommend him - great guy all around. I look forward to continuing to do business with this dealership More
I would give zero stars. State requires dealership to file title for registration same day consumer takes possession of vehicle, and to register and inspect car within 7 da State requires dealership to file title for registration same day consumer takes possession of vehicle, and to register and inspect car within 7 days. They do not have the title! 16 days after sale still no title. They also rewrote Bill of Sale for 6 days later. No ethics, fraudulent sales! Have file complaint with BBB and AG. More
If I could give them 0 stars I would. They need major customer service training- starts at the top with Tim Bruno and John Pina- not a drop of empathy, ethics or professionalism. The serv They need major customer service training- starts at the top with Tim Bruno and John Pina- not a drop of empathy, ethics or professionalism. The service manager and advisers were decent enough, but missed some major steps and cost us time and lots of money. The culture starts at the top and trickles down. Customers deserve better. What should have been a $1500 valve spring job cost me over $8000 for a full blown engine replacement because they skipped a standard diagnostic for compression, a leak down test. It’s like skipping an X-ray and amputating an arm..they told me they did all they could to identify the cause and that this was the most cost efficient avenue. All lies and so they can make more money. Stay away unless you want to be treated disrespectfully and manipulated. More
I would not recommend going here unless you want to spend well over the sticker price and work with a pushy associate. I ended up withdrawing my deposit from here and going elsewhere. They will try to bully well over the sticker price and work with a pushy associate. I ended up withdrawing my deposit from here and going elsewhere. They will try to bully you and tell you that you need to come in to return your deposit or the manager "might not be able to return it" but this is not true. I would highly recommend Lexington Toyota. Right on the website it says that they won't charge you over the MSRP. I ended up with a Hybrid model for $600 less than what they would have charged me for a gas model (and this included a remote start). I also received 4 other quotes from 3 other dealerships for $1,500-2,000 less on the same gas powered model. Do your research and search elsewhere. Do not settle when they tell you "everyone is charging over the sticker price," because that is simply not true. More
