My Route 22 Toyota happy experience was all due to Timothy Rowe, awesome salesman, great personality, very friendly. Tim was very knowledgeable from beginning to end, I couldn't have had a better salesman, so glad I ended up working with him, made the transaction very quickly and satisfied me with the car I got. Of course, I will recommend going to Route 22 Toyota, and everybody ask for Timothy Rowe. =) So happy with my experience and my new Corolla! More
Bait & Switch sales tactic Between March 27-29, 2014 I visited this dealership well-prepared with all the knowledge of brand new car pricing. I was interested with a base model Between March 27-29, 2014 I visited this dealership well-prepared with all the knowledge of brand new car pricing. I was interested with a base model 2014 Corolla (MSRP $18,435). They quoted me a fair price of $16,847. Of course, that's well below the invoice price of $17,700 for a base model. Told them I'll be back tomorrow to bring my wife & close it out. The next day, the 28th, price changed to $16,901. Well it's still below, but they explained that it's like the stock market, price fluctuates daily. Hahaha nice try. So I told them, we'll finalize the deal tomorrow saturday the 29th since it's almost closing time for them plus I have to get an insurance quote from my agent.As we were leaving, the manager told me & my wife that the appearance package(pin stripes & door guards $799 in value) will be included. I said OK, tomorrow we'll be back. Here we came the next day ready to close out, I signed the Purchase Order form but I have to read it first. All the numbers were accurate even the VIN number. Then we got inside the Finance office to meet the finance manager, the deal failed from that moment he told us that there was a mistake in the paperwork. He needs to add the $799 appearance package to the deal. I said nope & I insisted: We'll take home the car that I test drove with the same VIN number for the price that was quoted because if there was a mistake, it's not on me. I also added, when you go to McDonalds and they gave you a large fries but you ordered a small fries then it's not your mistake. Pay for the small size & take the large one. He said that he wouldn't allow his signature on the paper. Instead, he suggested that he'll give us another car without those appearance package. That's when I suspect a bait & switch tactic. It was already dark, so you won't be noticing damages or dents if any. So we walked out. Sales manager & saleman rushed to us & trying to convince us back. We said nevermind. The best part was, it was only 7:30 pm. We drove to another dealership in Jersey City(Hudson Toyota) and closed out the deal there. Good thing the Purchase Order form was with me & they just easily beat the price. More

Honestly, I was a little apprehensive at first because it was my first purchase and I did not want to get taken advantage of. But, he actually downgraded me to a corolla based on what I expressed were necessities. I am more than satisfied with my new car and will defiantly recommend him to my friends. Thanks again More

Worst experience ever These guys are the most sorry excuse for a car dealership that I have ever encountered! I talked to the internet sales person (Selena) on the pho These guys are the most sorry excuse for a car dealership that I have ever encountered! I talked to the internet sales person (Selena) on the phone and told her that I am looking for a Black 2014.5 Camry SE with a moonroof. I explained to her that I had already test driven the car at another dealership but they did not have Black. She assured me that if I come down, they would match my deal and that the car that I want would be sitting in front of the store when I got there. I told her that I could be there right away, but please don not have me come all of the way there and then tell me that I can't get my payment. She again assured me that I came to the right place because they don't haggle people. So I drove there only to find that she did not talk to anyone about me coming. When I got with a salesman, he tried to get me to take a deal with payments of $70 more. So I told him that Selena promised me my deal on the phone, he didn't accept that. Next, I asked him to get the manager and pull up the tape of our conversation since that tape for quality assurance. To my surprise they did! He and the Manager came back after an hour and said that they reviewed the tape and they apologized because the conversation went just as I had said. However, they would not honor the deal. I was there two hours. The manager still tried to talk me up to $50 higher per month. I asked him did he care about the reputation of his shop and he extended his hand to shake. So I left. As I look at all of the negative reviews that this dealership has, I can see that they do not care. Their customer service is horrible! The do not have one positive review on Yelp. More
