I purchased a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder in February of 2023. I was ensured by the company that they would put this car through the shop and go through everything. I picked the vehicle up and the tires and front I was ensured by the company that they would put this car through the shop and go through everything. I picked the vehicle up and the tires and front bumper clip that was supposed to be fixed were not. They said they would have someone come look at it. They did not. I left with the vehicle since it is my only means of transportation, getting the vehicle home it starts making a loud terrible noise that I recorded and sent back to Roper Kia. They asked for me to bring it in. The fan was not bolted in and had to be replaced which they did replace without charging me. Should not have been an issue had they looked at the vehicle to begin with. A few months down the road the vehicle left me stranded. I had it towed to Roper Kia. They informed me that they could not figure out what is wrong the vehicle and that I should take it Nissan. After Nissan looked at it they found that the air filters were put in backwards which caused the mass air flow sensor to quit working. This mistake by Roper Kia is now costing my $600.00 to get fixed. Had Roper Kia actually put the vehicle in the shop and gone through it like they assured me they did then this error could have been caught if not on the first time there then at least on the second or third time that I had taken the vehicle back. The negligence of Roper Kia's service department has caused this purchase to be a nightmare and after spending close to $20,000 on a vehicle then needing to put it in the shop three times without resolution in less than a year and costing me an additional $600.00 is extremely frustrating. Roper Kia should have to reimburse me for the money I had to put out for their negligence. More

Stay away from a salesman precariously going by the name "Dr Phil" Bought a NEW KIA SORENTO, loaded in July 2022. Window sticker was almost $45,000.00. Then ROPER KIA added another $9,995.00 for what ROPER "Dr Phil" Bought a NEW KIA SORENTO, loaded in July 2022. Window sticker was almost $45,000.00. Then ROPER KIA added another $9,995.00 for what ROPER KIA calls a "REGIONAL MARKETING ADJUSTMENT" Thieves!!! NOW, this is what really torqued my bolts. In Nov. 2022, I receive a letter from KIA stating "IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL". Letter states, "A fire may occur in the area of the tow hitch harness module while driving or while the vehicle is parked with the ignition off. Debris and moisture contamination on the tow hitch harness module printed circuit board (PCB) may cause an electrical short circuit, creating the risk of fire. A fire increases the risk of injury". In red print the letter also states "Park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until you have this recall performed. This Recall Number is SC249. The issue is there is no fix for this problem at the time of this post. I called Dr Phil told him I did not want to keep this car. He said he would call me right back. In the interim I called KIA Customer Service 1-800-333-4542 and found out about ANOTHER SAFETY RECALL. This Recall Notice number for this problem is SC250. It has to do with a pump in the transmission. When driving down the road your vehicle can abruptly lose all power. This could also get you killed! I called Dr Phil AGAIN and told him about this other Recall and told him again that I did not want this car. He will NOT call me back. STAY CLEAR OF ROPER KIA & DR PHIL!!!! If you want a KIA, I suggest you drive a few extra miles and go to Youngblood in Springfield MO.-------NEW POST- Since I posted this on Dec 11, 2022 the sales manager 'Tony' finally called me back. I explained everything to him and he basically told me he could only buy the car back for $40,000.00....... WOW!!! Now, he will not return my call. Boy, this dealership and its employees are a real piece of work! So, in less than 1,600 miles and 4 months of ownership ROPER KIA expects me to lose $14,620.00 for a car that I can't drive and can't park it my garage..... or close to anything for fear of my car catching on fire or while driving getting me killed in a car accident. AGAIN, THIEVES!!!! I have filed a Formal Complaint with the MO Attorney General's Office and have also filed a lawsuit with the Lemon Law Group located in MO. I am waiting to see if justice will be served. More

Had to take it to a different shop to find out there was something wrong with it. Took back to Kia thinking it would be covered under our bumper to bumper to discover it wasn’t. Now there’s horrible vibration and humming noises that have been happening since the alignment . Took back today 2/9/22 they said they could not find anything wrong they want me to pay another $125 to have it diagnosed. I bought a 2014 Preowned Toyota Tacoma in October of 2017. After signing the loan agreement, NOT BEFORE, I was told "By the way, you're going to have to figure out how to come up with $1,200 for the tax 2017. After signing the loan agreement, NOT BEFORE, I was told "By the way, you're going to have to figure out how to come up with $1,200 for the tax payment." Now who can tell me who keeps an extra few thousand in their bank account for this? Most buyers come into a dealership with a down payment and that's about it. When I asked "Why didn't you tell me this before I signed the agreement? and why didn't you include the sales tax in the loan?" I was told "We don't have to tell people that!" I see how it is! Make your sale and THEN break the news to the customer afterwards! I fell behind 2 months on my payments because of this. My 2,000 Fod Ranger had seized the engine after 260,000 miles and I had no choice but to acquire another vehicle. Hal Roper is not in charge of this dealership anymore and if he still was, this would have NEVER happened. There were also dents in the truck bed on both sides that were not visible when I first looked at the truck. It was dark and lighting was low where the truck was displayed. When brought this to the attention of the salesman the next day he told me "We didn't say anything about taking the dents out." That's because they were not visible at that time! Later on, I was told that the body shop would take care of this and would call me when they could get me in, and I never got that call. If you buy from them, be aware that they do not tell you that the sales tax is not included in the loan, even though there are lenders that will do that. Their claim is that not all lenders will do that. Really? then DON'T USE THOSE LENDERS!! In California, where I used to live, this is ALWAYS done. The sales tax is ALWAYS included in the loan. In the end, I ended up turning the truck in to the lender (voluntary repo) in early 2021. I actually got money back due to the skyrocketing prices of vehicles thanks to "sleepy joe" in the oval office triggering inflation. However, the bad taste is still in my mouth from this experience. Geesh, I sure miss Hal. More
if I could give zero stars I would! Never in all the years I have bought cars (and that is over 30) have I heard of a $3,495 "dealer addendum" on any vehicle except the most exotic cars! Nothing but pu years I have bought cars (and that is over 30) have I heard of a $3,495 "dealer addendum" on any vehicle except the most exotic cars! Nothing but pure profit for the dealer on top of all the other little things they will try to sell you. Levi was a good salesman, but that's about all the good I can say. I understand there is a shortage of new vehicles, but that is no reason to screw the consumer! More
