I have been a loyal roger beasley mazda customer for almost 20 years. I have always been treated fairly and with respect. But recently I just bought a car and have never had such an awful experience wit almost 20 years. I have always been treated fairly and with respect. But recently I just bought a car and have never had such an awful experience with any of the other r.b.m locations. Mazda south is the worst. I was lied to and kept waiting for a long time with poor communication about an issue I had on my recent purchase. I will never go to this location again. The only saving grace the south location has is the service department. Alanah was very apologetic to my issues. More
A white Mazda CX-9 was listed on their website that I was interested in. My friend who was going to help me buy the car, called and spoke with Mark and Simon around 8am and made an appointment for me to come interested in. My friend who was going to help me buy the car, called and spoke with Mark and Simon around 8am and made an appointment for me to come in the same afternoon. They arranged to have the car pulled out for me. So I arranged to take off a half day from work, went to CarMax to have my car appraised, and arrived at Roger Beasley shortly before 2:30. However, we were told upon arrival that the model we arranged to look at was not there and they did not have any CX-9 Turbo Pluses, despite their website showing they had 3. My friend had received a call at 1pm, telling him that but I was already in the area and had already taken a half day from work so decided to go over there anyway. I spoke to the manager, I believe his name was Bassam—he had a gray beard, extremely muscular arms and shoulders, and tattoos going the length of both arms—who was less than empathetic at best. He said Mark and Simon asked him when he came in at 10am if they had any Turbo Pluses to which he said no, but for some reason, Mark and Simon waited 3 hours to call my friend back. If I had actually been told at 10am that the car I wanted to look at wasn’t there, I would not have had to waste a half vacation day when they knew full well that car wasn’t there. The manager tried to blame it on my friend. I was fed a load of lies. Then I was told that Roger Beasley himself was driving the very car I came to look at. No one could answer my question of why he was allowed to do that when it was listed on their website as for sale, except to say “Roger Beasley can do whatever he wants.” That may be true but what a horrible, dishonest business model. You list a car on your website for sale, you drive it around because you like it, then you’re going to sell it someone and pretend it’s new? I fully intended to buy that vehicle today but because I was lied to, wasted a half vacation day that I won’t get back, and was treated so poorly by the manager, I will never buy a Roger Beasley vehicle. I will gladly drive to Houston or Dallas to purchase a Mazda. 0/10 would not recommend this place. Horrible business practices, lies, deception, and poor customer treatment. More
After having my car serviced here for the last 10 years the service department has gone steadily down hill. After leaving a rag inside of our air intake, we swore we would never go back. However, convenien the service department has gone steadily down hill. After leaving a rag inside of our air intake, we swore we would never go back. However, convenience called and we found ourselves there once again. After scheduling an 8:45 appointment and confirming the scheduling of a loaner car, I show up at 8:45 only to be told there is no loaner car for me and my appointment is schedule for 10:45. I called the day before my appointment to confirm my loaner car and time of appointment. Then show up day of to be told something different and asked how I then wanted to proceed. I told them I wanted to proceed with a loaner car. They fumbled around and miraculously found one, but I then had to wait an additional 30+ minutes for it to be ready. On our previous visit they were unable to complete the work in the timeframe they had set out for completion and subsequently I had to bring my car in an additional time to complete the work…Frustrating! A once great service department has slipped into disarray. More

This is the first negative review I have ever left a business in my life, but I wanted to share my experience to hopefully protect other car buyers. Here is the short version: - I purchased a used 2 business in my life, but I wanted to share my experience to hopefully protect other car buyers. Here is the short version: - I purchased a used 2020 Mazda CX-5 in September, 2022 - LENGTH OF WAIT TIME: I had an appointment to pay for the car and sign the paperwork and was told it would only take 30 minutes. My sales agent repeatedly reassured me that I was next in line with finance, but after waiting for 3 hours with an upset and hungry toddler, I checked with the receptionist who informed me that there were still several people in front of me. We were told to come back and wait in line another day. - TIMELINE OF REPAIRS: My car had some damage before I purchased it, but I was guaranteed it would all be fixed within 2 days. After a week, I they gave me the car, only for me to discover that several of the items on the 160-point checklist were missing. In particular, my car still had several dents. When I pointed them out to the sales agent, he pretended like he couldn't see them. Fortunately, they took the car back, and I got it a week later-- 2 weeks after the date I was originally promised the car would be ready. - SMOKE IN CAR: 1 month after owning the car, it became apparent that the previous owner had smoked in it. I had gone out of town for a week, and after it sat unused, the smell became so strong that I could not drive the car without getting headaches. I am pregnant and have a toddler, so I was concerned about my family's health in the vehicle. - IGNORED MESSAGES: I tried texting my sales agent, texting the official Mazda central number, calling and leaving voicemails for the manager, and sending an email to the manager, but none of my messages ever received responses. Finally, after a week of no responses, one of the managers answered one of my many calls. He essentially told me that it was not the dealership's responsibility that the car they sold me had been smoked in before they sold it to me. He offered to do a smoke bomb to remove the smell. However, I feel like my concerns were just brushed off as this will not actually address the underlying issue that they sold me a vehicle with cigarette toxins in the upholstery. Overall, I regret going to this dealership and would not recommend purchasing a car here. Hopefully my experience was unusual, but I wanted to leave this review to caution anyone considering doing business at this dealership. I have since heard that the other Austin locations, South and Georgetown, are more reliable. More
They are not increasing MSRP so they are screwing you on the trade-in. KBB had mine in the mid range of 40,000. They came with 36 and an incredibly high interest rate even though I have an 800 credit score. the trade-in. KBB had mine in the mid range of 40,000. They came with 36 and an incredibly high interest rate even though I have an 800 credit score. He didn’t even offer the price after the trade end, he just told me my new payment would be $589, 200 more than my current payment. Lots of games, shell game. Do not recommend them at all More
