We came to Rockland Hyundai by chance (car dealers are closed on Sunday in NJ) and left with a competitively priced Hyundai Sonata with the help of our sales person, Al Wesier. Al was a pleasant, down-to-earth, and patient person who answered our questions (a lot of them) without making us feel rushed. After the initial price negotiations, we stepped out to confirm our desire for the Sonata (as opposed to the Accord) and to discuss the quote, saying we’d return if interested. There were no sleazy sales pitches to get us to stay. When we returned, we said we wanted to buy today and asked for a lower quote, which we got. Price quotes were lower than two leasing agency quotes I had. Al helped us fill out the financial paperwork and we left the initial payment in good faith while the finance guy ran the numbers the next day since we didn’t have time to wait. When we came back to complete the process, there were no surprises and everything went as smoothly as promised. After the sale, Al gave us a 20 minute tour of the car and his cell phone number to call with questions, a nice touch to a great buying experience at Rockland Hyundai. We’d certainly go back! More
I bought a 2013 Sonata here. Had always been a Honda fan but all the people I dealt with made it such a pleasurable experience that I ended up buying a Hyundai. Mike and Jory,the new owners were non-pressuring. I had been to this dealership under previous owners and walked out on them. This new team really seems to have its act together,from entering the store to final sale. I am now a Hyundai fan. More
This was the best and most straightforward car buying experience we have had. Both Johan and Jory were excellent explaining and answering any and all questions we had. If you are a woman and bring your vehicle in for service they will try to convince you that there is nothing wrong with your vehicle and that whats going on is normal. I will not stop until this matter is resolved no matter what it takes. Beware of these people they do a lousy job on repairs. It's a shame that I have to go through this with a new vehicle. Never never give up fight for what you want and believe is a fact. I am a woman not an idiot. More
Really bad shopping experience! Bought a new car with a slashed airbag. Dealer says will repair it. Never arranged for repair despite a number of calls, visits, and scheduled appointments--which it then denied making. Initially brought my car in to have a faulty map light console unit evaluated. Dianna (the Service Advisor) arranged for the mechanic to look at the console while I waited and it was decidedd that a new p console unit evaluated. Dianna (the Service Advisor) arranged for the mechanic to look at the console while I waited and it was decidedd that a new part had to be ordered. I returned the next week to inquire if the part was delivered and Dianna said the part had just arrived. She again exhibited her exemplary customer service by having the mechanic install the part while I waited and the entire "service experience" was extremely courteous and professional. Thank you to Dianna and her talented staff of mechanics. More

A very young inexperienced sales person was not knowledgable about the car and limited us in test driving the car disallowing my spouse to test drive. Upon asking a 2nd sales person to explain the knowledgable about the car and limited us in test driving the car disallowing my spouse to test drive. Upon asking a 2nd sales person to explain the SE platform, he was also unable to do so. All he stated was that it was a bumpy ride. I stated that if I worked in the dealership, I would know more information than provided by either sales persons. 1st sales person never called me with information on the Sonata SE platform although I requested it from him multiple times and even reminded him upon leaving the dealership. As there are only three models of the Sonata, I would expect the deaership to know more about one of the platforms. The whole experience was unsatisfactory. More

I called Avis en route to find out if they had a car available. They had not received a phone call from them all day. When I arrived I asked to speak with Larry who was on his cell yet again to busy to speak with a customer. I waited for ten minutes and left. They are ___________? Please do your homework ask people!
