Jim Boyd and the service department have always been very courteous and professional. this goes for the sales department as well. one morning i was on my way to work. i had contacted them because my vehicle had started to make a strange noise, they told me i could come right in. i brought in the vehicle, they provided me with alternate transportation and got me on my way. The service advisor called me that afternoon let me know what the problem was and that it would be ready later that day. i picked up my vehicle later that evening and had everything explained to me. i really appreciate how quick they were able to get me in and on my way. i will continue to use rock honda for my service needs and will definately continue to reccomend this dealership. I find my story is much like the one I read. Ali Razza (I think) quoted me a car took me out to it and it wasn't that one. Then I showed him my print out. We walked around for a good 30 min. We couldn' (I think) quoted me a car took me out to it and it wasn't that one. Then I showed him my print out. We walked around for a good 30 min. We couldn't find the car in the color I wanted. I decided I could just take the silver one. I told them I had 15k of the 22k. I was going to use get a cashiers check from the OCTFCU credit union. The sales manager drone told me they were required by CA LAW (yeah that is the lie, called it an S30 or something) to run this check on you. It requires your social sec card. By the looks of the neighborhood you don't want you social security given away to anyone. It look like illegal alien barrio. Chances are you SS# could get sold based on this sales managers unethical lying. I wound up writing a personal check for a 1yr old Honda at their competition. Guess what, no S30 background check. I was also told by a Autobuyer program that many Metro Honda told them that people go to Metro after getting a bad feeling from Rock Honda. That would explain why I see about a dozen cars every morning on the 57 from Metro, maybe one from Rock. More
Rock Honda claimed they had a 2008 Honda CRV EX in the tango red pearl color. Ali Kadri, Internet Sales Manager at Rock Honda, emailed me a quote of $21,733.00 for the 2008 Honda CRV EX 2WD. I called hi tango red pearl color. Ali Kadri, Internet Sales Manager at Rock Honda, emailed me a quote of $21,733.00 for the 2008 Honda CRV EX 2WD. I called him approximately 1 1/2 hours (the drive time to get to the dealer from our house) to confirm that he had the car in the color I wanted for the price he had emailed me. He said he had it in his computer, but I asked him to go out and check to see if it was actually on the lot. He put me on hold and returned after several minutes, confirming they had 1 left. We arrived at Rock Honda and had to wait 15 minutes before they told us Ali was busy with another customer. We were then taken by another salesman on a long walk through the lot (in the dark) searching for the vehicle. After more waiting it was determined that the EX was parked in the front and was equipped with a DVD player, premium wheels, and a $27,000+ dealer asking price. I spoke with the manager about the deception and he offered to sell me the vehicle at the price I was quoted plus an extra $1,000 for the unwanted DVD player, but he would remove the wheels if he could find someone to do it. I decided not to give them my money. More
Rock Honda is a terrible place to service one's car. First, they always print a timeframe on one's service contract that is false. Every time I've brought in my car, whether it be for an oil change, a First, they always print a timeframe on one's service contract that is false. Every time I've brought in my car, whether it be for an oil change, a seat belt defect, a service lamp problem, etc., the service department keeps the car way past their set time. The last time, they kept the car an extra day. It would not have been so bad except they did not call me until their service department closed down for the day. They called 7 minutes after the place closed (4:07 pm), and then they had the nerve to tell me to come back a third day because the cashier was not going to take my money. That said, I showed up in 6 minutes later (4:13pm) because I was only a few blocks away driving toward them in my other vehicle with my spouse in the passenger seat. When I got up to the service window, the cashier saw me, and she ducked underneath the counter thinking I did not see her. I banged on the window until she rose up from behind the counter. Then, she unlocked the door for us to come up to her counter. By now, the cashier was real upset with us because it meant that she had to take our money (over $400). She called the back service area with no one answering the phone. To this, she ran back to the area to get one of the service advisors to come up front. Finally, he did. Since she was not going to take the money, I paid by credit card so that she would not have to deal with cash. This transaction was completed by the service advisor since he was afraid she would get angry with him. In the end, we got our car. This was not the end yet. I got a Honda service card for ratings, and I sent it back to them as unsatisfactory. The effect of my response was the service manager calling me for a more thorough explanation. After telling her that this type of service had already been going on for approximately one year, and that another customer told me that his vehicle was kept by Rock Honda for over 67 days until they fixed his vehicle, she still asked me to forgive her dealership for the problems I had. I told her that it would take a year or so for the dealership to get their act together, if they want to stay in business, before I would even attempt to get any servicing for my present and any future Hondas. What is so ironic is that Rock Honda always has KFI 640 AM (John and Ken) advertising how great sales and service this dealer provides. DON'T BELIEVE ANY OF IT!!!!!!!! Check for yourself on the other reviews provided by other writers, and you will see that there is trouble with their management. When ROCK HONDA first opened, the dealership was doing good for its customers. NOT ANYMORE!!!! TOO BAD!! I still own my Accord, but I will end up going to a different dealer when I purchase my next vehicle. Check the ratings and make sure you check both the sales and the service aspects of the dealership. YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SCREWED, DO YOU? More
I wrote the review below, but I am unable to retract or edit it, so after working with the dealership I have had a change of heart. To be honest, the smoking and cussing of the salesmen thing still stands edit it, so after working with the dealership I have had a change of heart. To be honest, the smoking and cussing of the salesmen thing still stands, but they have worked very hard to please me and my wife, our CR-V has been in and out of the shop with TPMS problems, and they have facilitated us to our liking, providing a rental car, and fixing some earlier service related problems. The service guys are easy to work with, they take a long time, but are nice and down to earth. I dont know if I would buy another car from them, I think you can find a better price, but their service is really good, compared to others in the Inland Empire. More
My wife needed a new car, so we decided to shop around, we liked the CR-V and went to Rock Honda because they had the one we liked. The sales man was nice, and for his sake has continued to be nice to us, we liked the CR-V and went to Rock Honda because they had the one we liked. The sales man was nice, and for his sake has continued to be nice to us, but on the other hand the rest of the staff was completely unprofessional and rude at best. The sales manager and other salesmen smoked right were you walk in to the show room so you have to walk through a could of smoke, they cussed all over the place like it was nothing. Part of the arrangement was they would throw in a bike rack, we agreed. When it came time to install the rack, they said they couldn't do it because it was a two part option, and they only "promised" one of the two parts. After serious arguing with the sales manager Henry Becker, I conviced them to hold to their agreement for a bike rack. The serive department took 4 hours installing a roof rack and bike rack that clips on, (I bought another one online and installed it myself), completely incompetent and unprofessional, almost at a hostile atmosphere. If they dont get the deal they want they make you wait, and wait, and wait. While we were arguing about the bike rack, the sales manager said he was talking to the dealership owner, but really he was smoking outside. We spent 2 of our vacation days at the dealer while they fixed the problems with the car that they caused, half of it was waiting around for an answer. I would never reccomend this dealership, and I will never use them again. They promised free oil changes, we never recieved them, they hassle you about every little price, and were rude in the negotiation process, had I known about this site before going to the dealer, I would have gone some where else. I will for any service calls and so on. More
Promised to hold a vehicle for me. I took a day off work, drove 55 miles, and arrived only to find out they'd sold or transferred it off the lot, (no one was sure). They were totally unapologetic, and work, drove 55 miles, and arrived only to find out they'd sold or transferred it off the lot, (no one was sure). They were totally unapologetic, and said - "That's the way it goes - this is business." The salesman who made the bogus promise is Brandon Szymanski - do not trust this individual, (or any one else there for that matter). Truly a bad experience. Stay away from Rock Honda. More
