My transit van blew a tire and Roberts fixed it the same day, despite being short-staffed. They got my vehicle serviced in a timely manner but when I got my car back the inside was very muddy and had black marks on the door and sun visor where someone had touched with dirty hands. Had an extremely low tire pressure noted at 11:00AM on a Saturday. Robert’s got me tight in, and called me shortly after dropping it off to say that they noticed I was nearly due for an oil change and did I Saturday. I have been a long time customer of Roberts, and take all of my cars, even if not Fords, to them for service. I just went in for an oil change, tire rotation (The Works Package) yesterday. I was told that of my cars, even if not Fords, to them for service. I just went in for an oil change, tire rotation (The Works Package) yesterday. I was told that my battery tested bad, and that it should be replaced. I told the service advisor that I just had my battery replaced, by Roberts Ford, about a year ago. He confirmed that it was replaced in March of last year. I asked him “shouldn’t it be replaced under warranty?”. He said to replace under warranty, they would have to charge the battery for 2-3 hours and check with Ford meter? I didn’t have time to wait yesterday, so I dropped it off this morning. After charging, and testing with Ford meter, it was determined that my battery was good? Question is, last March, when they told me my battery was bad, was it really not? Should they have charged it for 2-3 hours and check with Ford meter? How many other people have they told that their battery is bad, and it really wasn’t. Very disappointed in this last appointment, to say the least. Sum of the trust that I had for their sent department is now gone. Just something to think about….and maybe check things out a little more thoroughly in the future. Enough with rant…enough said. More
