Purchased a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) BMW 540i on 12/10/20. On 12/23/20, the check engine light came on and I drove it to BMW service immediately. Upon inspection, B1-Air flaps needed to replaced. 12/10/20. On 12/23/20, the check engine light came on and I drove it to BMW service immediately. Upon inspection, B1-Air flaps needed to replaced. I was provided a loaner to drive for the remainder of the day. BMW CPO vehicle is certified by BMW per manufacturer's specifications and requirements and sold as if were almost new (not like regular used vehicles). Because the vehicle was sold to me as a BMW CPO, I questioned how this could happen. Although its not a new vehicle, all things should have been checked. Well, I was told that there was no way to tell the part was bad until it goes bad (i.e. check engine light). The good news about all of this, I did not go out of town as planned. The bad news is after two weeks, I had to take the vehicle back to the shop. The other good news is; it was covered under warranty. I requested to speak with Roadshow Manager today (12/24/20), but after waiting for more thatn 30 minutes, once my vehicle was ready I left. Wes Montague texted me at 8:44 a.m. that he would let the manager know that I wanted to speak with him. Then as I was waiting for my vehicle, I was brought someone else's vehicle. Despite the issue with my car which is UNSAT thanks to AJ (service advisor) for getting me seen without an appointment and for the loaner. In addition, the initial purchase process with Wes Montague were excellent. It is because of the engine light issue after driving the car for only two weeks that I give Roadshow BWM one-star.
