In response to my Internet request for a quote on a new 2010 Tucson, Carol Glass sent me several emails offering $3000 off the MSRP of any new or used vehicle. She then called me on the telephone asking if I could come in to discuss a possible purchase. When I told her specifically what vehicle features I wanted she said that they didn't have one, but would check for availability from another dealer and call me back. She called back a short time later, stating that they had found 3 vehicles at other dealers meeting my requirements, and repeated the $3000 off promotion. I immediately drove to Riverhead Hyundai, checkbook in hand, to make my purchase. When I arrived Carol said she couldn't understand the coding of the sales sheet and turned me over to "Ron", another salesman. Ron left me waiting at his desk for 10 or 15 minutes while he looked for "guest sheets" and invoices, and chatted with his sales manager. When he finally returned he said that my Tucson was available at FULL RETAIL price only. When I asked about Carol's promotion he started a long story about short supply, trucking expenses from the other dealer, etc. When I went back to Carol's office to ask about the promotion she had offered, she was all apologies over the "misunderstanding", claiming that the promotion was for any car EXCEPT the Tucson. When I calmly expressed my frustration at wasting my time, another associate in her office stood up and got in my face, stating in a loud voice that "mistakes happen" (yeah, right) and that she was a good person for having apologized and that I should not have made "snide remarks" and that I should be "man enough" to accept her apology. Wish I had gotten this guy's name; is that any way to treat a customer? He wasn't inconvenienced, nor was Carol or Ron. I was the one who drove almost an hour each way to find that the "promotion" was a complete misrepresentation. More
I drove from PA to pick up a truck that I had seen on the internet. The price was very reasonable. When doing the financing they added all these finance costs that brought the car to the same price as the internet. The price was very reasonable. They sent me home with a temporary plate because I was out of state and I still haven't received my new plate. My registration has expired!! I called the DMV and they said that it got rejected because they were shorted 30 bucks. I talked to Tammy and she said she was going to take care of this right away, they registered it as a car and not a truck. It's been 2 weeks and now I can't get a hold of Tammy and apparently nobody else can help me. I called the DMV and the status has not changed and I shouldn't be driving my truck. After pleading my case with the DMV the are researching my situation and may allow me to just pay the 30 bucks, I guess they usually don't do that. I hope Riverhead gets in trouble for this because this is not very good business practice!! If someone knows of anything I can do please let me know. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!! More

Josh made buying a car so quick and easy.. Picking up my car was a breeze! If i would have known it was going to be like this, i would have gotten a new car a long time ago! The time it took for delivery was way to long!!!!! It should have been made clear it was going to take 4+ hours!!!!! We were 100% happy with the customer service with Josh. Everything went well except for the 0 I give to the finance dept. I can only refer people and friends that pay cash or finance on their own. We had a very bad experiance with John in finance and waited more than 4 hours just to get in his office for 2mins and be sent away to finance on our own. Our thanks to Josh for trying to keep us sane durning the long and unreasonable wait. I know he lost a few cutomers durning that time. Upper management should be aware of this problem!!! More
