But, this experience has turned me off on potentially doing future business or recommending this branch to friends and family. The prior three buying experiences were beyond great. Which is why I drove from Moncks Corner to buy the fourth vehicle. I'm very surprised at how poor the customer service was leaving that day. Starting off my salesman did a fair job at finding promotional discounts that Chevy offers to all customers. He then negotiated just one time to get me an okay price for the vehicle I wanted and my fully paid off trade-in. I felt as if he could have tried to get a better deal for both the trade-in and money off the purchased vehicle. So once the sale was made he began to bring all associated paper for me to sign, with little explanation. Next was I pushed to a finance member, he was easily the worst person I had to deal with that entire day. His agenda was pretty clear, push hard on maintenance packages and warranties, to which I wasn't interested. Once I made that clear, he completely switched gears and rushed me through all financing paperwork without explanation, "click and sign" fast. The only document he really spent time on was the "Nothing Owed" form. Maybe because it was getting later in the day, his attitude was less than pleasing. After walking out the door and driving home, I realized they never told me what company was financing my vehicle or interest was applied. I'm sure this finance member quickly decided on the highest rate for my 822 credit score. Regardless, RH saves all documents in a thumb drive for the buyer to keep. At home, I quickly plugged it into my computer ran through the documents and decided to head back to the dealership the next day for a better explanation and to retrieve something I left in my trade-in vehicle. The next day I meet with a different finance member and asked if he could review my purchasing documents and answers some questions I had about a closing fee. He informed me that all paperwork should have been reviewed on the day of purchase, which was clearly not the case. He decided to get a manager to hear what my problems were. This manager was less than helpful and slightly rude to speak and keep repeating, the same things over and over. I explained to both of them, this finance person never reviewed any documents of importance and which left me wondering who am I paying for this vehicle and at what price. This manager and finance member had no capability to help with my issues, sense all paperwork was signed and submitted. So their responses to help me out were nothing but hollow. I informed them I will be working with my own financial institute to refinance within the next 30 days. I then left the dealership angrier than when I first walked in. These are the actions I experienced and will most likely discontinue business with RH auto group. More
Warranty Work I had a warranty issue (paint related) with a car that I got from another dealer out of state and was referred to Hendrick Chevy. Was put in touch with David (Mike) Oglesby, their service manager to confirm coverage, see what the problem was, etc. From the moment I met Mike he was the absolute best to work with, he assured me there would be no problem dealing with the issue I had and it would be covered 100%. The communication was also outstanding during the whole process as he asked what days would work for me to bring the car in and subsequently when I would need it back after the repairs. Both times he met the time frame that I needed. Bottom line is Mike is a rock star in my book and if you ever need service and/or warranty work check out Hendricks and more specifically Mike. More
Don was a really helpful and friendly sales person. He worked hard to help me get the car I wanted for a price I could afford. I have brought 5 new cars in my life time and it was the first time I left I have brought a new truck back in May. The process was so easy and nice. I was nice to have people working that was nice, friendly and care about the service that they were providing. The Service Dept at Rick Hendrick is manly why I choose to buy my truck from this dealership. Everyone from Jason Strachan and Brandon Pardue in Sales to Wayne Goss (and the team behind the scene) in Service were great! More
Purchased a car to be shipped, but it had already been sold On 12/29/2019 This dealership sold us a 2019 Toyota RAV4 with 1118 miles on the sheet, a 1 owner carfax with no wrecks in an LXE trim. We signed the bill of sale, after agreeing on a price, and proceed to wait nearly 3 hours for their finance guys to get to us. We signed away the trade, purchased their bumper to bumper package. We closed in the finance office and got the USB burned with the documents shook hands and was pledged that the vehicle would be waiting for us on the lot as early as 12/31/19. These guys didn't so as call the sister dealership to hold the SUV or check to see if it was actually available despite my attempts to give them a stock number as early as 12:33PM to Dave "Allen" Kelly which I have an email receipt of the outbound email with the requested stock number, VIN, Mileage, and listed price. Mr. Kelly handed us off to another sales person when we arrived who arguably did a fine job of selling the vehicle. Sad for him which is why his name isn't on this list. Even the Finance guy was affable and helpful so same situation. My fiancee is a Probate lawyer in the community, On 12/30 we were called in the middle of our work day. She while in an appointment with a Client only to be told that the vehicle had been sold the same night we purchased it because of "Miscommunication" I called them back and spoke to Aaron, who is not listed under here but is said to be a sales manager. Who has not handled this well at all. Note that We have excellent credit, and they not only bungled this up but in their effort to "make this right" they offered us a vehicle with 30k miles and a collision on it's Carfax report... which was insulting considering the quality of vehicle we had purchased originally. They asked to continue looking and I told them to contact me rather than my bride as she is in court tomorrow and will not be reachable and I am in construction and will be able to handle this for her till she gets out. Told them we would be in to pick up a loaner vehicle as she is driving my personal 4x4 work truck to work in heels and a suit and that isn't going to fly. She is in tears after this whole affair and I stay up till midnight scouring the Hendrick Auto Preowned site to find something comparable. which I do manage to find a listed model in a different color same trim, same year with 3000+ miles that will get the job done and she will agree to. Case closed. I save the info and send it out to the dealer after 0800 the next day from my work phone. 12/31 9:41 AM Despite my call to the dealership with the information, and a reminder to call me as she's in court I get a text that they called her anyways while she's working. I call him back and ask him to use my work number. So I can hear him clearly without standing in the cold outside my company's office space. Which he can't seem to manage calling my cell 3 times to tell me our secretary told him I wasn't in the office. Which is frankly news to me as my Tundra is in my parking space and I'm at my desk. Irritated, I have to run outside to be able to hear him accurately. Aaron informs me that the number is no longer in their system and it must have sold the day before. I explicitly tell Aaron he needs to have our down payment, a voided copy of the paperwork for the contract in hand and our Trade in ready for pickup within the next 3 hours. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. The customer service is fine as long as you don't expect to actually buy the car you signed on the line for. They have wasted our time which is valuable indeed as both an attorney and a Construction project manager, they have clearly not delivered on their contract we signed, and have failed to properly follow through on making this "right" We have resolved to just buy a 2020 from the competitor. Rick Hendrick himself should be ashamed of the behavior of this particular store in this moment. More

At worst, this is a bait-and-switch practice where they're just interested in getting a customer in the door to see what else they might be able to sell him. At best, it shows they are inconsiderate toward their customers' time, and have not bothered to ensure that they advise customers when a vehicle they are coming to see has sold. More

We had gone to another dealer but were not happy with their service as they tried to oversell and didn't listen to what we wanted. We left shortly after and headed over to Rick Hendrick off 17. I had a great experience and Alan Kelly was a big reason why. He listened, didn't try to push things I wasn't interested in on me and in the end, helped me get a great deal on the Colorado. I have brought it in for routine maintenance since and their service team is also great, efficient and friendly. I would definitely recommend them. More

After being towed to Rick Hendricks Chevrolet on Savannah Hwy, we were checked in promptly by Jesse McCall. Since we were travelers she pushed us to front of line. Within few hours they checked car and made sure its safe for 5 hour drive back to Atlanta. It was one of the best service experiences I have ever had. Strongly recommend RH Chevy. More
