Scheduled appointment for inspection, new tires $, oil change etc… arrived on time . Told me 2 - 21/2 hours . Received a call one hour in - they didn’t have tires in stock ( although that was on initial change etc… arrived on time . Told me 2 - 21/2 hours . Received a call one hour in - they didn’t have tires in stock ( although that was on initial request), it would be a extra hour - I’m a waiting customer.. I agreed . Waited until 2 - checked with a new service guy ( Phil was on lunch ) … No tires available and they didn’t do any of other stuff . No phone call, car sitting in lot … and saw me sitting and waiting … one wasted day I should charge them for ! Not to mention no apology, nothing .. Needless to say - I won’t go back there ! More
Wife was traveling in Richmond this week visiting a family member. ABS warning light came on over the weekend. Called in Monday morning to get warranty service and was told THE FIRST SERVICE DATE AVI family member. ABS warning light came on over the weekend. We were looking for weeks for the right combo of mileage and price for our used vehicle, and we found it at Richmond Ford. And more than that we met Dario. Absolute worst dealership experience I have ever had. I am shocked at just how poorly they are willing to treat a customer ready to purchase a new car. New car manager is shady and completely dishonest. I am shocked at just how poorly they are willing to treat a customer ready to purchase a new car. New car manager is shady and completely dishonest. We were called in the morning and told that our new car arrived damaged on delivery. Another more expensive model was on the lot and we inquired about that. We were told they would hold it for us so we could see it after work. We were told if we decided on that car instead of the damaged one we ordered it was more expensive, but still at MSRP. After working all day, we hurried to Richmond Ford West to look at the car and discuss the damaged car we ordered. During that conversation we were told our options are to buy nothing, order a 2023 model, let them repair the damaged car and purchase it with no price adjustment, or we could buy the more expensive model available on the lot. We discussed it for a few minutes and then explained we would buy the more expensive car on the lot. The new car manager then backpedaled and said there was an appointment for someone else to see it the next day. I explained we were ready to purchase the car right then with more than half down in cash, and that we were told it was being held for us. We were then told it’s not available and we were denied the purchase. So, after over an hour at the dealership with the manager trying to convince us to stick with the order and let it be repaired at a body shop we get told other car they are holding for us isn’t available. What a complete waste of our time. They could have been honest and upfront, but decided to lie and string us along. Just shady. Buy your Fords elsewhere, these guys are just dishonest and could car less about their customers. More
Chris Cox exemplifies what great customer service looks like. We had such a great experience with him 2 years ago that we returned back for our second vehicle purchase. I do not recommend anybody going to Richmond Ford! ! My Sales Associate & His boss were Conniving manipulating and deceiving!! I went in with a loan from my credit union and they convinced me to let th ! My Sales Associate & His boss were Conniving manipulating and deceiving!! I went in with a loan from my credit union and they convinced me to let them search their lenders, showing me a laminated page stating that my credit union would charge an APR between 11-16% when in all actuallity my credit union offered me a 5.8% APR. So they basically caused my credit score to go down for their own personal gain! They sold me a vehicle that they knew had teenage driver safety settings stuck on it! I had to drive two hours back to Richmond to have it removed and then they gave me a key that I told the Associate didn't work. It would only unlock the doors when it wanted to, and it kept throwing the original key off, causing that key to act crazy! They promised to replace/repair the armrest as it was torn and covered with black duct tape at the time of purchase!! They had the vehicle from 7am until almost 6 pm stating that they had the best person on the job! Less than two weeks later the material started peeling, so soon I'll be having to repair the issue myself! I have been reaching out to my Sales Associate since day 2 requesting another vehicle!! The associate said out of his own mouth as he attempted to get the automatic driver seat to move, that "at this point You just need another vehicle!" When I agreed and asked how we could make that happen, he switched up the conversation after saying "we couldn't!!" After speaking with the bank and a few other professionals, I'm now convinced that the Associate was acting commission oriented as He stopped responding to my emails!! I am not a happy Customer!! I feel taken advantage of, lied to, and cheated!! More
