First, I was very impressed with the amount of information they sent me via email. I got a great sense of their inventory and felt really prepared by the time I hit the lot to talk specifics. When I got to the lot I met Steve who had set aside one of the cars I was interested in. The experience was great, Steve showed me everything I needed to know about the car, including some things I wouldn't have thought to ask and answered all my questions. I also think that you can tell alot about a product from how enthusiastic a salesperson is - and man, Steve lives and breathes BMWs. The second thing I look for is honesty - several times I asked about a 500 series (a step up from the 300 series I was buying and a big difference in price) and Steve had some really good suggestions about taking reasonable steps before jumping in head first to a more expensive vehicle. I thought it was great advice and I can tell you that when I buy my next BMW it will be from Richmond BMW. 2 months later, I still love the car and appreciate having had the opportunity to work with Steve, Matt and the rest of the team at Richmond BMW. Have Sold, and Purchased at Richmond BMW Life changes and a move, required we sell a BMW Z4. After a lot of frustration trying to market and selll the car ourslves, and after an insulting offer we received at another dealership, we decided to try Richmond BMW. Short version relating to the sale....Dmitriy drove the car, asked us a few questions, and made us a fair offer. Steve Lerner helped us with the necessary paperwork, and had a check for us qiucker than we thought possible........... We are now "short" a vehicle, and looking....... Fast forward........ having sold the BMW about a month prior, my wife noticed a used Toyota Van, on their lot. Again, the short version......Steve Lerner showed us the van. The pervious owner of the van was by chance, on site, and was introduced to me, which gave me an even better "feel" for the van. In the process, Dmitriy looked at and made us an offer on our trade. We talked for a few minutes, and worked the trade. Josh Alford worked us through the maze of paperwork, quickly, and professionally. Without pressure Josh explained the benefits of an extended warranty for this particular vehicle, which made sense to us. In a period of six weeks, we SOLD a car, and TRADED, and PURCHASED a vehicles, at Richmond BMW. Good people at this dealership. If down the road, we are looking for a vehicle, our first stop, will be at your dealership. More
Very Unhappy Customer I purchased a used 2007 530i BMW from this location on July 4, 2014. Dmitriy was the sales manager, Josh was the salesman that sold me the car. Well, I purchased a used 2007 530i BMW from this location on July 4, 2014. Dmitriy was the sales manager, Josh was the salesman that sold me the car. Well, when I first got the car, about a month later, the xenon headlight went out ($300 repair bill), a few months later when it got cold, I noticed steam coming from the hood on wet, rainy days. Took it in to the Midlothian dealership, they initially thought I had to replace the radiator, turns out it was the hose above the radiator ($200 repair bill); A couple months ago needed inspection, angel eye headlamp went out ($200 repair bill), a couple weeks ago, it left me stranded on Hull street and would not start, had to replace the starter ($850 repair bill), last week I had to replace the OTHER angel eye bulb, brake fluid flush, microfilter ($471 repair bill) and to top it off I needed a new set of tires ($681 bill). So as you can see, I have spend over $2700 in repairs for this vehicle in less than a year! Dmitriy told me the car was a one owner car, that some lady owned it and had bought a new car, so I WAS REALLY GETTING A GOOD DEAL. Josh told me I wouldn't need to do any maintenance on the car until April of the next year. Well, I guess you can see what a GOOD DEAL I got from the repair bills. When I phoned Mr. Perry about the radiator, his comment to me was "Did you purchase the extended warranty?" I told him, no I didn't. He was willing to split to the cost for the radiator but since it only turned out to be a hose, he split the cost there. I am really unhappy with this car because I think they sold me this car and knew all of the issues this car had. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN! They are quite friendly and very accommodating when you walk in and want to purchase, but if you purchase a used vehicle from them, make sure you have the car checked out first! More

Steven Lerner along with many of the other associates at the dealership worked tirelessly to get us the car we wanted in a very short amount of time. Steven was friendly, professional, and treated us like he truly cared if we came out happy on the other side of our car shopping experience. It has been nearly 8 years since my husband and I have purchased a car (mostly due to a bad experience at the last dealership), and the men and women at Richmond BMW eased our anxiety and gave us a great all around experience! Finally, thank you to Joey Harris who worked on the financial aspect of our loan. He was professional, fast, and easy to work with. Thank you again for a great experience! More

I bought a used BMW 328I that was a few years old and I traded in my car as well. The car I bought is in pristine condition and I was also very satisfied with what they gave me to trade my current vehicle. Between Steve, Thad and Josh, they answered every question and accommodated every request I had. It is the best car buying experience I have ever had. They made me feel like I was buying the most expensive car they had and I wasn't! Steve went through every single feature of the car,explained it and programmed or set it up, if needed. I will definitely recommend Steve and everyone else here to anyone I know who values this type of experience and I wouldn't hesitate to buy here again in the future. More

Steve Lerner was my salesperson and he was fantastic. I first contacted him by email, since I live 2 hours away from Richmond, in Hampton Roads. He went out & personally took extra pictures of things I couldn't see from the listed pictures. He was willing to reserve the car for me just by taken my credit card number. He didn't even run the card! When I arrived he was with another customer, but asked the gentleman to switch to another rep since he was waiting for my arrival and he thoroughly went over everything with me in detail. After everything was done and said, I was about to leave and a light came on the dash that wasn't there before. I let Steve know, who took the car to service to have a diagnostic ran. The service tech tried to brush it off as a common light, but Steve was not satisfied with that. He personally called and made an appointment with a local (to me) Hyundai dealer for me to get the issue resolved. And then the next day he called me just to get an update to make sure everything worked out. He was a tremendous help and made my first from-a-dealership car purchase a great experience! Hopefully, one day I'll be able to return and actually buy that BMW too! Thank you Steve. More

My previous car was a mini but I had had trouble with service. After Steve's diligence and Dan's knowledge and expertise, I was sold. When I bring the car in for service I will be able to get a loaner as long as an appointment is made. I purchased the extended service which get me free service for six years or 1000,000 miles. Could I ask for more? No! And although I went in looking for a low mileage used car, the deal on my brand new car was wonderful. I was also able to drive out that day and had 500 mi or 4 days to decide if I really wanted it, buyers remorse maybe? Well I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this dealer and car to everyone. More
