My experience with BMW of Richmond was great. I sent out an email enquiring about purchasing a X5. Steve Lerner responded to my email with his contact information. I called him and told him what I wanted and the options that were a must. When we arrived at the delership, he had different models available for me to look at. He is very apprachable, friendly and listened to what I wanted. He did not pressure me into purchasing the most expensive vehicle in the lot. In fact there was no pressure at all. I feel that he gave me an honest opinion when I questioned him about the vehicle that I was trying to purchase. He was very patient when I could not chose a vehicle and gave me time to think about which vehicle I really wanted. Frank, the financial service manager, is very down to earth. He helped us feel comfortable and allowed us to ask as many questions as we wanted. He was patient when I did not understand all the paperwork and ensured that I understood what I was signing. Buying my BMW X5 from BMW of Richmond was the best car buying experience that I have ever had. The people that I dealt with, Steve and Frank, were very professional and know their jobs. In fact, we special ordered one. When it came in, we saw one that we liked better. It was a Laurel Special Edition Clubman. Paul Baldwin was gracious about our desire to switch vechicles. We had been car shopping for about a month when we walked into BMW of Richmond. At the time we were not sold on BMW, but after meeting Steven Lerner and test driving the 335i- we were hooked. Steven knew everything about the car which made it fun and after we purchased the car he made sure we knew how to reset and program just about anything. There was a stain on the headliner and when we spoke to the guys there, they quickly got it into the shop and afterwards you couldn't even tell there was ever a rust stain. Overall, these guys listened to what we wanted out of a car and were able to make us an offer we just couldn't refuse! We LOVE our new Beamer, and it's all thanks to the gentlemen at BMW of Richmond. I stopped by in July of 2009 and spoke with Steven Lerner. I gave him my criteria of what I wanted in a new BMW 328I X-Drive. I decided on the Barberra Red and told him I would be in late August when my husband would be in town. We did all of the negotiations via telephone including the trade in of my 2008 Acura RDX. The dealership had my car in the showroom when I arrived with a sign saying "Sold to Mrs. Susan Chichester". I was thrilled! It was the smoothest transition I have ever dealt with in purchasing a new car. I would highly recommend Steven Lerner and BMW of Richmond! More
As a new BMW owner, I am very pleased with the my purchasing experience at Richmond BMW. Actually, I should more specifically say that I am pleased with my experience working with Steve Lerner. Steve worked closely with me to understand the car I wanted, the type of deal I wanted to structure, and to ensure that I was satisfied all through the purchasing process. He gave me his candid (and truthful) feedback on options and accessories, and never pressed me for anything that I decided against once he laid out the pros and cons. My schedule is usually pretty hectic, and Steve always did what he could to work with me in that area. Tim St. Clair was wonderful to work with as a Financial Services Manager at BMW. He and Steve had talked with each other before I came to acquire the car, so that he understood the arrangements and the structure of the deal. He also walked me through the various other options I could get with the car, taking all the time needed to walk me through them. My thanks to both Steve and Tim for making this a very painless experience! I woud definitely work with Steve again. More
Steve did an amazing job working with me and getting me back into a BMW. His personality made buying a new car a lot of fun. Most importantly, although I have now finalized the purchase of my new car, I know that I can always call Steve for any questions that I might have on the vehicle. This is the man to see for a BMW purchase! Frank handled all the financial work for me. He got me a great rate and steered me in the right direction with all the available warranties. Frank is an absolute pleasure to work with (what American doesn't love to here an Australian accent!?) :) BMW is the Ultimate Driving Machine, without a doubt. Richmond BMW on West Broad Street is the Ultimate dealership to do business with. I won't need service on my BMW anytime soon, but when I do, I know the Service department will take care of me with the same level of respect and honesty. What an awesome team!!! More
This was by far the BEST experience I have ever had when buying a car!!! Even though I was purchasing a Jeep and not a BMW, they still treated me like a quality customer. From the minute AJ walked up to my friend and I in the parking lot, until I signed all the documents with Tim...everyone was pleasant and respectful and wanted nothing more than to make sure I walked out of that door a happy customer! Then after all was said and done, the GM called me to make sure I was happy with the car, etc. I couldn’t believe it!!!!! Wonderful employees and the car I purchased was fabulous! I will definitely recommend this dealer to family/friends in the future. More

First I owe him apology because I purchased a new BMW 528i from the dealership south of the river in 2009 after talking with Steve first. Being in sales myself I know what kind of salesman I like to deal with. When I bought my 2008 528i I came into the dealership with a chip on my shoulder and took it out on Steve. Sorry Steve! Now since my 2011 BMW 528i is heading down I-95 from the Baltimore docks I am glad Steve handled my new purchase. He knows these automobiles and will do anything possible to assist. Anyone looking for a BMW new or used do yourself a favor and call Steve Lerner. I promise you won't be disappointed with how he treats you and your new car. Thanks Steve job well done now get my new car ready so I can pick it up!! More
