The problems still exist. After two trips to the dealer, I am still having trouble with the A/C in the vehicle. Also having trouble with the radio volume. Also having trouble with the transmission seeming to get stuck in first gear. Do you guys even have certified techs working there? I would expect more from a VT store. Especially when it comes to courtesy of the staff. Will be expecting a call from the GM to find out what he plans on doing to fix my car on the 3rd visit.

Mr. Abraham, we are terribly sorry that you feel as though you were treated with less than the greatest respect that all our customers deserve. I personally took the phone call that you placed to the dealership and was not aware of any issue with the transmission nor was I asked the transmission type. While the listing currently states 6-speed it makes no reference to either manual or automatic however the photos online clearly show it to have a 6 speed manual shift knob. You quickly determined the vehicle that you initially visited the dealership for would not meet your needs so the sales associate made you aware of a vehicle that had just been traded in just minutes before you arrived and showed it to you. Keep in mind at this time we only know what a 5 minute inspection and short test drive tells us and nothing more about the vehicle as it has not been to our service department for any kind of re-conditioning. On average reconditioning of our pre-owned vehicles cost us on average $1,800 per unit and was factored into the initial sale price. You then negotiated an “as is” price and we removed the re-conditioning fee. You requested to take the car to the Mini dealer and have them inspect the car which IMHO is a wise decision as a former 30 year ASE certified Master I always suggest a second opinion. After the inspection was done however you wanted to have us absorb a fee of $2,100 that the Mini dealer said the car needed and still keep the car at the same price. Keep in mind you started out saying you offered us a fair profit of $2,000 but as you must now admit we would actually lose money to sell you the car. To be clear about mechanics fees, just because the mechanics work for us the labor is far from free. Obviously your case was a bit different than most as the person that traded the car in shared with you a great deal about the car that they did not share with us and who could blame them? Not many customers come to the dealership and say the check engine light comes on at times and it was a lemon law buyback! To summarize, we offered to pay you the inspection fee you paid to Mini of $119 and we still stand behind that offer. The car is slated for auction and we will not sell the car on our lot. Again you have my apology and the offer to reimburse you any money you were out. Max Millender 214 718 9465
