We have used this dealership for many years, buying both personal vehicles and work vehicles for our company. Over the years we have bought maybe eight to ten. We have worked with all their departments fro personal vehicles and work vehicles for our company. Over the years we have bought maybe eight to ten. We have worked with all their departments from sales and financing to service and never had any problems or difficulties that could not be easily resolved. I'd have to say my first requirement for any dealership is that they are honest in all things. I think that describes Lann Rubin, their GM, and his ethics and sincerity can be seen throughout the dealership. As long as he is there I can't see us going anywhere else. More
I enjoy driving my cars into the ground before I buy a new one. However, I pushed things a little too far and almost got into an accident when my car died in the middle of an intersection. I came to Rhine new one. However, I pushed things a little too far and almost got into an accident when my car died in the middle of an intersection. I came to Rhinebeck ford because it was close and I figured I'd see what they had. I knew I needed a car but I told myself I'd check a few places so I didn't get taken advantage of. The place was very busy when I got there and people still took the time to say hello and ask me if they could find someone to help me. I kept my guard up, trying to avoid any hard sales tactics as I checked to see was available on their lot. Lann, who I believe is a part of upper management and not a salesman, approached me. We looked a few different cars, but most of their used selection had me feeling like I'd be stuck with another junker getting me caught in the middle of an intersection in a few years. Still, I didn't want to spend the money on a new car, either. He told me he was getting in a lightly used 2011 ford taurus. I had always thought the Taurus was kind of a joke. He showed me literature on it and the completely redesigned appearance as well as the engine. I assumed I wouldn't be able to afford it, and I felt strange buying a car that I hadn't test driven, but I was definitely intrigued. That was when the sales stuff kicked in and he started asking for a deposit. I didn't like that, he backed off instantly and he basically said that without a deposit, he couldn't guarantee me that specific car. The issue was that this specific car was used and would be cheaper when coupled with the rebates than if I came back later and had to get a new one. It only had 18k miles, so it was basically new, but for a lot cheaper. Still, I didn't want to commit when I hadn't looked around. So, we compromised, he took a smaller deposit, which would be refunded to me if I changed my mind. I went around and checked out other dealerships in the area and most of them either would not sell to me, or were trying to get me to buy the car right then and there. I hate being asked "what's it going to take?" and nonsense like that. Lann backed off, but the reality is he did a better job selling me because he did what a salesman is supposed to do, help you find what it is you're looking for and make sure it's something you'll be happy with for a long time. He didn't go for the quick sale and I came back and bought the car. While i was gone, he found another rebate offer and applied to the car so it ended up being even cheaper than I was expecting to pay. The car runs great. I had one issue with the keypad coming loose and they fixed it, no questions asked under warranty. It's been a great experience, I don't live near Rhinebeck, but I travel 45 minutes to get there for my service etc. because I know I can trust them. I'd recommend Rhinebeck to others. Employees are the heart of every business and excellent workers are not expendable, if things changed I'd be hesitant to continue doing business until I saw the same quality as exists there now. Check this place out, I think you'll be pleased. More

Much like the previous posters, this dealership is a JOKE. My wife and I drove 4 hours through a snow storm to purchase a used truck from Rhinebeck Ford. When we got there our trade was appraised, we JOKE. My wife and I drove 4 hours through a snow storm to purchase a used truck from Rhinebeck Ford. When we got there our trade was appraised, we test drove the vehicle and we started working the numbers. From no where a sales person told my sales person that he just took a deposit on the truck while we were on the test drive. Lann got involved and basically told my wife and I that the person who placed the deposit was a "high profile" client and they HAD to sell to him. Essentially, we were being told that we didn't hold a high enough social position to deserve shopping at their dealership. Long story short, they wasted our time and treated us like second rate citizens. I was so disappointed that I drafted letters to the attorney general, BBB and Ford Motor Co. Lann Rubin is a DIRTBAG, and everyone should know before they attempt to do business there. In the end it worked out. We found a comparable truck at a better price and effortlessly purchased it from Auto Connection of Lancaster in Lancaster, PA. Those guys were top notch, and appreciated our business! More
I'll keep it simple. I was looking to buy a dump truck and spoke directly to the General Manager, Lann Rubin II. He told me the truck was in excellent condition and that it was checked by certified Ford mechanics. He specifically told me that there is no rust on the truck, only a LITTLE bit on the bed. I decided that I was going to come purchase it. I asked my customer to take a day off so we could drive to this dealership so he could see the truck. It took us FOUR hours to drive all the way up to this dealership. I had told that to the general manager several times before we left to make sure that he is aware of the length of this drive. When I got there, I was looking for Lann Rubin and he did not even acknowledge us after we had spoken to him and driven 4 hours to come see this truck. I was prepared to pay over $35,000 for this used truck and this hideous management did a terrible job at selling the vehicle. I am extremely angry and frustrated at the fact that I was simply LIED to. The GENERAL MANAGER of this dealership lied to me about the condition of this vehicle even know he knew I had a long drive. HE toyed with me. This is a WARNING to everyone. If this is how the HEAD of the dealership runs his operations, I don't want to know how the rest of the employees operate. Absolutely dishonest and unprofessional management. More
I went to have some very simple work done and they ended up breaking other parts on the car. Now they replaced the rear air suspension with coils and screwed that up to. I would NEVER go there again, eve up breaking other parts on the car. Now they replaced the rear air suspension with coils and screwed that up to. I took my 2008 Fusion in for 2 minor electriocal problems only to find out that I needed tires and brakes, it is a company car and the fleet maintenance company did not want to pay for the repairs (vwehicle only to find out that I needed tires and brakes, it is a company car and the fleet maintenance company did not want to pay for the repairs (vwehicle has 94,000 miles on it) but John in service would not give up and got the repairs approved. The car is 100 times quiter now with better tires on it and the timing was great because it snowed the day after I picked it up and would probably have been sliding all over the place if the old tires had still been on the car. I had been using a quick lube outfit that basically did whatever the computer said they would be paid for whether or not the car really needed it. I will be using this dealer for all my repairs and oil changes in the future. More

We recently (within 5 months) bought our "Certified" automobile at Rhinebeck Ford. We have heard good things about them, but quickly things have changed since. The heating system has never w "Certified" automobile at Rhinebeck Ford. We have heard good things about them, but quickly things have changed since. The heating system has never worked properly, and since we bought it in the summer, never had the heat on, we didn't know. The Customer Service has been very poor, as they have had the vehicle for 2 days, and promised they would look at it the next morning to see the problem. They never looked at it until days later. They told us we could have a loaner car, and stated that we could drive the our vehicle back home to use for the weekend, and then drive it back when the part came in, then maybe they would give aus a car. That never happened.(we live 45 minutes away) This is the second time we brought the vehicle up there, as they sent us home the first time because they didnt have time to fix it. I know everyone's experiences are different at places, and all, but it is just sad that they pushed the extended warranty on the certified, supposedly, vehicle, and of course the problem they found is not covered. They will not work with you after the vehicle is bought, but will push vehicles that aren't even checked properly. If you decide to buy your vehicle here, don't waste your time. They act great up front, and spend all "your" money on Rhinebeck Ford commericals, and don't pay any attention to the customers! More
