I went to Karp Kia on Saturday 5/5/12 and met with Valerie, who was as uninterested in me as though I was a fly on a wall. She wrote me off because I looked young and was dressed in my weekend "lazy" clothes. She went so far as to privately ask my mom, who accompanied me, if she was sure that I could afford a new car, whether or not I was employed, married or had some money saved. After she gave me the numbers on the new soul (which was quite high for the + edition and not even in the color I wanted), I told her that I saw an ad from another Kia dealer who was advertising the exact car I wanted and that before I made my decision, I would like to see if the other dealership in fact had the car in stock, and if not, I would come back and get the one she priced for me. Her response to this was "This after wasting all my time". We had been there a total of 30 minutes. Turned out that the other dealership was placing bogus ads and so I was left with nothing and did not want to return to Karp. By an act of complete serendipity, my mother had previously contacted Revolution Kia the day before (she thought they were Karp) and spoke with Randy. Late Saturday evening, we made our way to Lindenhurst (1.5 hrs away from where I live) and arrived at about 6:15pm. We met Randy at the door and struck up an instant rapport. He was easy-going, knowledgeable, forthcoming with information, honest and extremely easy to deal with. He apologized for our treatment at the other Kia, even though it had nothing to do with him and was genuinely thankful that we were giving Kia another chance. He was not a pushy salesman; instead I got the feeling that he was trying to get to know me as an individual as opposed to a possible "sale". He gave me the exact Soul I was looking for and between him an Bob, we managed a to get a decent price. I ended up putting a deposit on the car that same Saturday and then went back to pick it up on Sunday. It was the a lot less of a headache that I'm sure it would have been, had I gone elsewhere. Now if I know anyone who is in the market for a car, I would undoubtedly take them to Randy. I am thankful that we found Revolution Kia, Randy and Bob who all made this a most pleasant experience! I recently had the good fortune to shop for my new car at Revolution Kia. The salesman that greeted me was George Routsos. He was unlike any other car salesman I have ever dealt with. He was warm, friendly, knowledgable, and honest to such a degree it is hard to imagine. I had several obstecales in my way to negotiating a fair price, but to my amazement he worked hard to my advantage to mke the car I wanted a reality. He was kind, conscientious,respectful to such a degree over and above one could ever expect. I went to Revolution Kia just to have a look around. I was already a Kia owner and have been very happy with my Kia for 9 years.
