Worst experience buying a car, but it turned out to be a good thing. The dealership totally screwed us doing things you expect from a shady used car dealership. Definitely learned a hard lesson. My sales advisor, Noah Waller was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout my vehicle purchase process. When I picked up the vehicle, he took his time to walk me though all the safety, vehicle operation, and media features which i found impressive. Went to have oil change at just short of 17,855 miles on my 2020 Hyundai Tuscon, which is supposed to be included but i was charged $37.95. They told me at 12K miles I was supposed to change fuel filter bu my 2020 Hyundai Tuscon, which is supposed to be included but i was charged $37.95. They told me at 12K miles I was supposed to change fuel filter but that was never mentioned any other time I had an oil change. I purchased an extra warranty to cover the electronics in the car. The USB for the android auto has a short so it works then cuts out. I have a brand new Google Pixel 6 and the cord they gave me when I purchased the car. They tried to tell me it was user error, which how can that be? If I have the cord they gave me and new phone and the android auto cuts out and doesn't stay connected how is that user error? I confirmed with another automotive professional that that is definitely not considered user error at all. That is a defect! I tried to call the store to speak with the general manager regarding my experience. The man whom answered the phone said the general manager was a very busy person and wouldn't take my call. If this is the type of business they operate here, I don't ever see myself doing business with them again! The fact the dealership leadership wouldn't speak to me at all is a clear sign to me that customer satisfaction and honoring what you say and sell is not at all how they operate. More
I purchased a 2018 Optima at the dealership this spring. Within a week of owning it began missing. sputtering etc. The car uses oil which when purchased the tail pipe was clean, and they stated a good ca Within a week of owning it began missing. sputtering etc. The car uses oil which when purchased the tail pipe was clean, and they stated a good car. It uses 3/4 quart of oil per 1000 miles driven. Synthetic 5w20 . Not acceptable . When purchases was promised 2nd key told it only had one when they got it. Lie. After sitting in their service lounge for approximately 2 hours and no one touching the car. They produced a second Kia key fob identical numbers to mine. When in financing I was told in order to be financed I had to purchase gap and extended warranty policy which when the lender called to verify all loan information they said it was not required for the loan to go through. When called for appointment to get the second key I was given the run around put on hold numerous times flat out basically called a liar when I mentioned that they were paying for it by the service manager used car manager. My interaction with this dealer has by far been worst ever experienced. And I worked in automotive dealership industry for many years and many lines in service, dealer requirements, and owner loyalty customer service. By far this dealership ranks at the bottom of the mark for customer /ownership trust, they are shady as ^xx. The people act like you are asking for a miracle if they must lift a finger. They send out no surveys as I am sure they do not need another negative mark on their customer approval /satisfaction. Very unprofessional poor telecommunications poor people skills poor customer treatment both in sales and service. Untrained staffing as was set for appointment on wrong day of week two times. Just overall poor poor ungrateful rude service by all dealt with to date More
I have NEVER been treated so poorly by ANY dealership. I am a CASH buyer. The process should have taken 1 hour at the most, but instead I was harassed into financing part - which I'll pay off with the first am a CASH buyer. The process should have taken 1 hour at the most, but instead I was harassed into financing part - which I'll pay off with the first bill - and brow-beat while they tried to talk me into an extended warranty. The finance manager didn't like my emphatic NO answer and huffed out of the room. I had already signed the agreement, or I would have walked out without a purchase. More
Misrepresented the MPP maintenance program Their finance guy at Reliable Hyundai, Darrell Biri, talked me into buying a MPP maintenance plan when I bought my car there by telling me in writing Their finance guy at Reliable Hyundai, Darrell Biri, talked me into buying a MPP maintenance plan when I bought my car there by telling me in writing the plan would last for 5 full years and cover all oil and filter changes, as well as tire rotations and a wealth of other things. He did not tell me it was only good for a maximum of 60,000 miles. In less than 3 years, it is now expiring and the person who called me wanted $3,500.00 to extend it. Reliable will not stand behind their employee’s false representations. Be wary of what they tell you there. It doesn’t even help if you get it in writing. More
Worst experience out of my 40+ car purchases. Worst car buying experience so far! Know what you are getting yourself in before you do any business with this dealership. This dealership is owned by Worst car buying experience so far! Know what you are getting yourself in before you do any business with this dealership. This dealership is owned by Berkshire Hathaway, and so is their warranty company, so this place is used solely to push their protection plans down your throat. I will say, that our salesman, Nathanael, was great to deal with. Very friendly and professional, and made this stage of the process as easy as possible. If you do decide to roll the dice on this dealership, definitely ask for Nathanael. Unfortunately this isn't where our experience ended. We then had the pleasure of dealing with the "business manager" Darell Biri. This guy managed to completely ruin the excitement of buying a new car. First, we were informed several times that we were being recorded in his office, which wouldn't be a huge deal but then a couple of minutes in I was asked to say my social security number and birth date out loud, this can't be an acceptable practice. Then comes the protection plan sales pitch. After being read the riot act for 10 minutes of what all can fail on a car and why a factory warranty (which the truck still had) is worthless, he then begins to try and sell me on this miracle protection plan which covers everything under the moon, for a small price of $100 more a month. After about another 10 minutes of his pitch, I informed him that I fully understand if he has to present this to me (because we are on camera), but I'm not interested in a protection plan. His demeanor totally changed at this point and he became extremely aggressive. After telling this guy no for the 6th or 7th time, my wife finally stepped in and told him that it was in his best interest to move on to the next step of paperwork. He dismissed my wife and continued trying to intimidate me into buying his miracle protection plan. He even threw his hands up in the air and said "what am I missing here"? I quit talking at this point I was so frustrated. I let him finish his 20 minute speech about why I'm crazy for not getting a warranty from him, signed my paperwork, and left as quickly as possible. I would never buy another vehicle from this dealership, nor would I recommend anyone go through what I did to buy a vehicle. It's guys like Darell Biri that make people hate dealing with dealerships, and he's about the scummiest guy I've ever dealt with in the 40+ cars that I've purchased. More
