I have been a long time client of Princeton Audi and will never come back. My SQ5 was brought in for service after experiencing an auto stop/start malfunction reading on the main dash. Technicians indicated that the entire thermostat and water pump system needed replacement and proceeded to charge over $3500. After doing my own research I discovered the total cost of parts and labor (incl taxes) should not exceed $1800. When I brought this to their attention they proceeded to tell me 'too bad. you already agreed to the $3500'. When you do a cursory analysis of the amount they overcharged me on the parts alone it was roughly 2x vs the retail price of the part. 5x vs the wholesale price. This is a fraudulent price gouging operation and should be investigated by the authorities. More
I want to thank Princeton VW Service for its diagnostic video, which showed how easy 2 DIY repairs would be. Video and annotated price list said parts are available for 2 repairs, I asked them to go ahead -- Day 11: Pr VW: The parts seem to have been ordered, -- Day 11: Pr VW: (later) They were not ordered, -- Day 11: Pr VW: (even later) You have to prepay before we can order them. [I asked them to prepare a repair estimate and I'll approve it -- Day 13: Pr VW: We don't have anything for you. So I Fixed one problem myself, drove to Hamilton VW and ordered a part. I called to service department and asked about changing the oil. The person on the other end agreed if I could bring my car within 15 min. I did. Derek Smith was rude, uncaring, a person without empathy and nice manners. first, he said his name was Shoan S. He promised to expedite my car wash (free after any service) . He returned my car in 10 min, saying the car was 1st in the lane. I kind of kidding, declared, I can bring my car for a wash tomorrow. The service agent became rude, and another agent, a female, was helping him, repeating I didn't have an appointment. A Service Manager came in, I used to be impressed by his willingness to help customers....but he didn't interact and let Derek be rude and raise his voice, and don't care about keeping a customer, who resides 1/4 mile near his Dealership. More
For more then 5 straight mornings, since 8/5/23, I have been calling/voice messaging the Princeton Audi Service office. Nice Ladies, but I need action in addition to polite answering service. Wife and I were on our way from Long Island to friends in Delaware when we hit a pot hole with my RS7. Left front tire sprung a sidewall leak and we managed to limp into Princeton Audi Service. Awful service - My car was brought to the shop for an oil change and service a week ago I picked the car up and before I got home my check engine light came on and my oil came on. I reached out to the service Director Carl Mesaros whose response was I don't know "what else to tell you but it happens I am sure you made a mistake at your work before obviously we did not put enough oil in the car". This is only one example of the many issues I have had with Audi Princeton Service the worst dealership, when you enter the building everyone seems to be so stressed More
