I went in for an oil change and during the service I was told there was “evidence of mice droppings” in the air filter and that they could replace the filters for just $130. I declined this service knowing told there was “evidence of mice droppings” in the air filter and that they could replace the filters for just $130. I declined this service knowing that I could easily replace my own filters for a lot less money, which I’m sure a lot of others do as well. The next day I put in my $15 air filter and saw that there was a large nest in the compartment. This is not at all how it was presented to me and I am also wondering why they wouldn’t have removed the nest when they took the filter out. I have never had an issue with service at any Hyundai dealer, and this does not seem to align with Hyundai standards. If it is against policy to remove a nest from a vehicle, which I understand, it at least should have been disclosed to me at the time so that I could have taken corrective measures. Thankfully I changed the filter the next day, but this could have become a much bigger issue due to the lack of transparency from the service department at Pride Hyundai. More
