When I arrived I was enthusiastically greeted by Jerry who was quick to pull the car around and hand off the keys. I didn't end up purchasing that night waiting to hear back on a couple banks. The following Monday I called to review the financing again, after agreeing to the terms I headed down the next day to do the paperwork. Before I hung up I told Jerry I had one condition before agreeing to buy; "I would like to have the next service change done, the wipers replaced (they were falling apart) and a detail" (standard procedure right?). That service included timing belt and water pump, "Not a problem!" he said. I get there the following day and before sign anything I ask about the services I requested done, "We called Acura, and that stuff was already done." they said. "That's fine, can you just show me where it says that?" I said. The CarFax told a thorough story about the maintenance history and this wasn't on there. I told them I just need a copy of those records before we continued, but I was assured it was done and it would be emailed to me first thing tomorrow. I foolishly completed the paperwork and the next day came and went.. still no records. I called repeatedly getting nothing but excuses why they couldn't get them. We get to the end of the week with a call saying the car was ready, again I ask about the records and was relieved to hear they had them and I could pick them up when I came in. I arrived to pick up my car, excited this battle was over.. and go out inspect my purchase only to find the wipers were not replaced and the car not detailed. The icing on the cake is seeing my license plate SCREWED INTO MY FRONT BUMPER, the bracket sitting in the trunk! To top it off I'm brought over to Service to get the records from Acura and I'm handed an invoice from PreOwned for the wipers and detail.. Not what I asked for! After confronting Jerry, I'm told I need to wait for the manager (Frank) to get back.. 45 mins later my patience is gone so I took it upon myself to call the dealership in NY that the car came from to get it myself. Within 5 mins I'm on the with the service manager who is able to get me the info. I ask him if the timing belt and water pump were done, "No, it was never done, but it was recommended the last time it was in. Also, the oil pump is leaking", he tells me. Now I am absolutely livid. Not only was I blatantly lied to, it continued when I was REPEATEDLY assured the work was done. Frank finally returns, and after I vent my frustrations he reluctantly agrees to do the work if it hasn't been done. I had to chase Frank down for 3 weeks before he actually admits that the work wasn't done and would do what was requested. I dropped off and handed my key to girl at the front desk and told her I'd like a copy of the invoice for the repairs when I pick up. The service manager calls the next day asking me what is being done since he was not told about this before hand. I explained to him what was to be done and even faxed a copy of the "services owed" slip Frank had written up. A week and a half later I pick up my car only to find that there is no invoice, and a Post It stapled to my keys saying "This came back from ___ Is this complete?" FOUR WEEKS of calls it takes to get a copy of the repair invoice! Since then I've had my own mechanic inspect the work and he showed me that not everything was completed as I asked. The oil leak was never fixed. I am so fed up at this point that I can't be bothered anymore. I have never been so insulted and disrespected during a buying process as I have been from this here. As a sales professional of over 10 years myself, I have never encountered such a lack of integrity from an organization and will make a point to let everyone I know to avoid PreOwned Factory at all costs.
