Over the course of the past few months, I have been looking for a low mile, pre-owned 911 and found a great 2011 911 C4S being offered by Porsche of Monterey. I contacted the dealership via the Porsch looking for a low mile, pre-owned 911 and found a great 2011 911 C4S being offered by Porsche of Monterey. I contacted the dealership via the Porsche.com site and received a very friendly and prompt response by John Bassett. He was very open to discussing price over the phone and via email, was extremely responsive and overall was a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately the timing didn't work for me with this car and it was purchased by another Porsche enthusiast. A few weeks later, there were two other 911s I was considering and I contacted John for some objective advice. John was extremely helpful, proactive, and went above and beyond expectations to provide me with critical guidance on what to look for and what information to request from the respective dealers on both vehicles to ensure I made an informed buying decision on my first 911. We were treated as if we we were buying one of those $150000 cars in the showroom. He impressed us that he new how to use all of the buttons in this very complex car. He had obviously done his homework and did not treat us like "bottom feeders". They treated us like they were genuinally happy for our business.
