I recently purchased a 2016 Porsche Macan S, but as used cars go, there were a couple things that needed to be fixed. This was a huge purchase for me, the most extravagant car I have ever owned. I have traditionally had Acura and Lexus, but this was my first Porsche and it was a big deal. I called this “service” department, and explained my situation. They said they would be able to help me. This was the beginning of over 3 months of constant frustration. A few examples... We were told all parts were in, and then driving an hour there to find out they were not. Making an appointment, leaving the car there all day, and finding out no work had been done. (We live an hour away, this was a wasted day and required leaving the car there for the week as I had a business trip I had to leave for). Being told the car would be ready that Friday, with a confirmation from them Wednesday that all the work would be complete, and then Friday morning being told they could not complete the work. They lied to my husband and I repeatedly. By the time I finally said enough, I’m picking up the car regardless of what had it had not been performed, I was so frustrated I was in tears. This was an on again, off again issue that went on for over 3 months. I was questioning if I had made the wrong choice in buying from this brand. I had never, ever gotten this type of treatment from the other car brands I have owned. You would expect a level of professionalism and courtesy from a high end brand such as Porsche, but I was disrespected and given the run around from the very start. It was completely disappointing. The conclusion to this story? My husband took my car to Porsche of Stevens Creek. In 2 days, the situation had been taken care of. Completely fixed, parts ordered and received, and installed. Every line they told us at Monterey was confirmed to be a complete lie and just highlighted what a untrustworthy business they are. My recommendation to you would be to take your Porsche service business elsewhere. These people cannot be trusted. You likely have a very nice car and they should not get your business. Period. More
