I’m very sorry to hear about your experience and the frustration regarding your warranty concern. After looking further into the matter, it is the warranty provider that did not cover the battery. Unfortunately, since we did not sell you the warranty or the car when we tried to call them on your behalf, they were unwilling to work with us. "Bumper to Bumper" is not a phrase we like to use here because it can be confusing to folks, like in this situation. Between the "bumpers" fall a lot of "wear items" such as tires, brakes, rotors, oil filters, batteries...These are referred to by the manufacturer as maintenance items. Again, this is the manufacturer's policy, not ours, which is why when we provide a buying experience to our customers, we don't say "bumper to bumper."
