My QX80 started giving problems. I was having trouble starting it randomly. Found out it was because the battery was not being charged fully when it was. Wing driven. Brought it to a I was having trouble starting it randomly. Found out it was because the battery was not being charged fully when it was. Wing driven. Brought it to a Tire Kingdom, & they could not find anything, & no charge from them (they had it two days). Then, as a request from Tire Kingdom manager, we brought it to a higher end garage with better diagnostics (they had it two days too) They too found nothing, & no charge from them either. I’m mentioning “no charge” for a reason. Because when you don’t find a problem, there is no reason to charge the customer for something you did not fix, would you not completely agree? So two shops found nothing & charged nothing, honest businesses. Now check this out, brought it to PEARSON, the 1st visit the diagnostic charge was $189.99, for a Diagnostic that found nothing. Then why pay for nothing right? Lol, they said my air filter was ajar, OK. They also said they saw that visually, the diagnostic did not find it. They said all was fine, & I left feeling skeptical. Two weeks later out having dinner with my wife, go to leave and the car won’t start again. I’m furious now, call Pearson again, set up appt and have it towed there because the dealership is 45 miles away. This time they say the battery is bad & needs to be replaced BEFORE they can try to diagnose the problem. Now remember, this is 3 weeks after the 1st appt for a fix that they could not find or repair, so driving 3 weeks on a battery that is not properly charging by the alternator, well, wouldn’t you know it, the battery will go dead. I said, had you did your job & figured that out the issue the first time, the battery wouldn’t be in that shape. It only makes sense. Anyway, nope, Pearson won’t budge on trying to fix it without me shelling out $282 for a new battery, so they got me again, still ZERO repaired. Oh yeah, here is also some helpful info, the day it wouldn’t start, once I got it going, I stopped by a Western Auto, to buy a battery possibly, or at least have them test it. The manager at Western Auto there tested my battery and said, your battery is just fine sir, your truck is just not charging it correctly when it’s driving. He actually said, I don’t want to sell you a $300 battery you don’t need, super honest, I will be back there. So the very next day, PEARSON insists on a new battery, SURPRISE SURPRISE. So we get the NEW battery and they say that’s it! Im like, what was fixed? The answer was nothing, just giving you a new battery. My response, I just paid you $189.99 & $283 for a total of $472.99. Remember, that is for the battery only, THEY REPAIRED ZERO. I could have bought the battery myself the day before for half that at Western Auto. I am completely under the belief, my Infiniti was above their pay grade & they didn’t want to admit it. So here is a very big WARNING, if you have a higher end vehicle & you are looking for good honest auto repair that looks out for the customer’s behalf, & also want that feel good feeling as you were not ripped off, THEN DO YOURSELF A MAJOR FAVOR, & look elsewhere & save yourself the hassle. Stay away from PEARSON! They will find ways to separate you from your money, they look out for themselves & customers are merely sheep with funds to them. Sheep that need sheering! You’ve been warned! More
