Great job, straight forward After an email exchange with another dealership promising a test drive of the 2015 car we wanted and arriving to find they did not have a 2015, but a After an email exchange with another dealership promising a test drive of the 2015 car we wanted and arriving to find they did not have a 2015, but a 2012 we contacted Patriot. It was well worth the extra drive. We were met by staff immediately and connected with the sales woman we'd contacted. They were well stocked and extremely helpful as well as apologetic about our previous experience. We ended up purchasing a car that day and Betty made it as painless as possible. When we arrived on Tuesday evening to pick up the car Betty again was extremely helpful as was Anthony when there was a small cosmetic issue. Anthony took care of it immediately. We are very happy with our new car and feel that the team at Patriot listen and actually try to work with you in a straight forward manner. Made a big difference. More
By far, the worst car purchasing experience My initial sales experience with Sharon Jorde was very pleasant and if I were reviewing her performance only, she would receive 5+ stars. The poor My initial sales experience with Sharon Jorde was very pleasant and if I were reviewing her performance only, she would receive 5+ stars. The poor experience began with James, the sales manager. During a phone conversation, when explaining to him the features I was looking for in the Crosstrek, pursuant to a lengthy bargaining discussion several days prior, he started speaking with another person, while I was in the midst of talking. I realize he may have been annoyed with my questions and my lengthy decision making process, but professionalism and patience should not falter in sales. The worst part of this experience was with a person named Jerry, who called me 2 days after I signed the purchase and sales agreement and told me they would not be able to register the new car for me unless I paid them $280.00 for a tax credit they were expecting to receive on my Baja. The most interesting part of this fee was that they NEVER told me they were getting a tax credit for my trade in vehicle (it was no where on my contract), but when they learned the Baja is considered a commercial vehicle in RI and weren't eligible for the tax credit, they wanted me to come in and pay for the $280.00 "debt". When I spoke with Jerry I asked him if he could e-mail me the explanation of the charge in writing since I am a visual person and it would be helpful to understand the breakdown of the cost in writing. He became annoyed with my questions, also interrupted me in mid sentence, and told me if I didn't pay the fee, they were not registering my new vehicle. I asked if he had heard my request and he asked, in a stern and directive tone, "did you hear me?" I reached out to the general manager, Don, sharing my less than unpleasant experience with Jerry, and he never responded to my e-mail nor called me back. Upset and worried about my vehicle not being registered, I Cc:ed an e-mail to the owner of the company stating that I would contact corporate and a news investigative team if it wasn't resolved immediately. I received a phone call back in ten minutes, by James the sales manager, telling me they were on their way to register my new Crosstrek. Corporate reached out to me, as they do to all of their customers for a review, and I was honest about my experience. I wouldn't even be writing this review if I hadn't received a disingenuous apologetic phone call from Jerry stating " that he apologizes for the confusion and mishap about the tax credit... and apologizes for that transaction and any communications that weren't pleasant or to my satisfaction." I would say that being talked to as a child and my registration being held hostage was more of an unpleasant and anxiety provoking experience more so than an experience that was "not to my satisfaction". It has been two months since the message from Jerry and I am even more disappointed in Subaru corporate for not following-up... This was my 5th Subaru purchase in my life time and due to the poor customer service I received, it is potentially my last. More

There was Chris made me a good offer on the car I wanted. I had a few questions on a couple of options and wanted to take a couple of days to decide. There was no pressure to make me make a hasty decision, just "Come back when you decide and we can get it done." Done 5 days later. No pestering. No phone calls. Very refreshing and positive experience. Ryan oriented me to the car's features and made sure I was comfortable with everything before I left. More

We were walking around the lot when a sloppily dressed man slowly approached us and staring to talking to us about cars. I had no idea if he actually worked there or not. Finally I stopped the conversation and introduced myself and asked his name. He told us his name was Chris and I said "nice to meet you." His immediate reply was "yeah, it is nice to meet me, isn't it" I was shocked and thought and thought maybe he was joking but it got worse from there. My husband asked if we could sit in one of the cars and to see if we even liked the feeling and his rude response was, " I don't know...can you?" My husband asked again and he finally turned around to walk back inside to go get keys. We should have left. We ended up test driving the car. While we're driving, Chris asked us to turn up the A/C, which we did and once I was too cold I turned it back down and he immediately said. Will you turn up the A/C. I explained I was cold and he kept asking over and over. When we got back to the dealership we asked if there was any kind of literature we could have to read about the car. Chris told us that Subaru didn't print anything (they do) He tried to tell us about Subaru iSight. And when I asked questions he directed us to a video screen and said he didn't know much about it. Overall what a pushy and rude salesman. It was the worst experience I have ever had looking at cars. The finance guy/sales manager, not really sure who he was because he didn't introduce himself was only slightly better. We did end purchasing a car that same day from anchor Subaru. The sales team was wonderful and actually took care of all of questions and needs. More

After being disappointed with other dealers in the area who didn't listen or tried to up-sell, I found Patriot Subaru who just happened to have the Subaru WRX I was looking for. From the onset they exceeded all my expectations. When I called them on the phone to inquire about the vehicle they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. When I arrived in person Mace-o' was extremely personable and knowledgeable. By far the best car sales associate I have ever come across. He took the time to talk to me about the car, what my needs were, and just to learn more about me. I never expected to walk in and walk out with the car but it happened. The negotiations were zero pressure, I really mean 0 pressure. The offered me a more than reasonable price for my trade in. All in all the sale was a done deal in a matter of 5 minutes due to the clear up front knowledge Mace-o' had and the clear break down of the sale price. I've experienced other dealers that leave out the tax, fees, title etc. The price I got was the price I paid and it was more than fair. Mace-o' was extremely patient and did not rush the process, I was so comfortable through out the process that it made it extremely easy to purchase my car from him. I would recommend Patriot Subaru to everyone and ask for Mace-o', however I'm sure all the other sales staff are just as personable and knowledgeable as he was. This is a dealership that is clearly focused on exceeding expectations and establishing a great reputation. More

Sharon called me and we talked about what I was looking for. She explained that there weren't many used Crosstreks because the car had only been available for 2 years. She did say that she had some new Crosstreks on the lot if I was interested. I explained that I wasn't in a rush. Sharon called me back about 2 weeks later explaining that she had a couple of new cars that I may be interested in. I made an appt. When we arrived I met with Sharon who introduced me to Rebecca in sales. We looked through the inventory and chose a Crosstrek to take for a ride. I was very impressed with the ride and all of the safety features since this car is for a new driver. We discussed numbers and I then said I would be in touch. James then came over to discuss the numbers and then made an offer that was impressive since I had been researching the car and payments. We made a deal and signed the papers and due to schedules agreed to pick the car up the following weekend. When we arrived the car was ready and Kyle, the tech guy sat in the car with us for 45min and explained the entire car. Very easy, non- pressure , friendly experience. I would highly recommend Patriot Subaru. More
Casual and caring dealership! I went to Patriot Subaru with the intention of getting a used STI but after the test drive I wasn't in love with the car. Betty was extremely helpful I went to Patriot Subaru with the intention of getting a used STI but after the test drive I wasn't in love with the car. Betty was extremely helpful in getting me to sway more towards the WRX which was in the price range I gave her. Her finance team worked hard to get me as close to my goal as possible and broke everything down for me! The two days I spent there I encountered nothing but very happy and understanding workers throughout the entire place!! Ryan who introduces you to the entire car before you pull it off the lot was very helpful and personable, he gave me his cell number and assured me help wh any future questions or concerns. More
