When we called in to discuss with the sale department, they gave us some lip, but on our insistence, they agreed to replace the battery at no charge. We were a little put off by the lack of post-sales support (from the sales department), however the service department made up for it - they were very helpful, competent and attentive to our situation. Two big negatives to us: They didn't disclose the used car we BOUGHT was a VW lemon-law buy-back until we had to bring it in to fix something that broke on the car a week later. Even the car-fax I had to ask for three times mysteriously missed this fact that the dealer obviously knew about (it was in their folder!) This non-disclosure is ILLEGAL. It caused a huge rift between us, lots of angst and distrust. They fixed the car, only to have it break again a few weeks later. Another dealer fixed it right and said the work done was shoddy. So...not going back to Patrick. Not a horrible experience, but not a great one, either. The positives: They were friendly and very laid-back, which was a refreshing experience. The salesman was awesome. We felt great about the whole thing up until we found out the truth. Maybe the issue was a mistake, maybe it was a business practice. We'll never know. More
I wouls ABSOLUTELY recommend Patrick Motors, and Mr. Powaza. I had been shopping fr a new car for two weeks. The offered far and away the best price on the car I wqanted (compared to six other dealerships) and they took very little of my time to arrive at a deal. No mus, no fus, and no hardsell pressure. They delivered the car when they said, and it was perfectly prepped. Although the dealership is over 30 miles (and several VW dealers) away from my house, I would unequivocally tell people who are looking for a car to spend the time driving to Auburn. You wont waste your time once youre there, and you'll definitely drive home in one of their vehicles. I've bought 20 cars for myself, or family, in my life: this was the easiest experience I ever had. More
My wife and I had gone to CT to look at a VW that was sold just before we arrived. Not wanted to have spent so much time on the road for nothing we stopped at Patrick Motors to see a VW they had. Long story short we bought a Saab 9-3 and got a great deal. We arrived not long before they were to close and we noted they were a VW and Saab dealer. My wife and I both commented that we weren't interested in a Saab at all. After taking out the VW Eos we had driven there to see we noticed a really nice 2007 Saab 9-3 60th Anniversary Edition. We decided to take that out and we fell in love. We ended up at the dealership more than 45 minutes after closing working out the deal. Because we were from New York they would have to deliver the car to us more than two hours away. David Haynes our salesman made the trip himself. Despite the distance we will definitely consider Patrick Motors for our next vehicle purchase. More

After test driving the car I would eventually purchase he approached every concern I had about it with an effective and efficient solution. I personally don't have exceptional credit, so I was shocked when they were able to get me a loan at a very generous interest rate. The entire process was easy and unpressured, by far the best car buying experience I've had of seven previously purchased cars. I just wish I wasn't moving out of state so that I could return when I needed another, and I still might drive the 14 hours just for the right car buying experience. Thanks Lenny!!! More

They were very professional and efficient and stood behind everything they said. In spite of being located over 100 miles from me I would definitely consider buying from them again. We checked out prices on t he internet at Trucar.com and came up with this dealer's name. Within 5 minutes we received a call from the dealership and were well on our way to purchase a Volkswagen. We were passed to a salesman who was very helpful, and the salesman drove the car to Portsmouth, NH so the trip home for us was shortened by a good amount. We called David to ask a few questions about the car after delivery, and he followed up with answers the next day. We would recommend this dealer. More
Bought a car there and when we get home and look closely at the paperwork and discover that the price was WAY higher than we had discussed. Called the salesaman (Pawil) and he puts me off to then finance gu at the paperwork and discover that the price was WAY higher than we had discussed. I explain there must be a mistake and he gets very rude-"YOU SAW THE PAPERS ETC..." and he hangs up on me when I get terse and start explaining there is a MISTAKE! Finally get the "used car manager" to look it over and sure enough they had added some items twice on the paperwork, so no problem-we'll write you a check. When I asked for a breakdown of ALL the charges so i could see what had actually happened they were very not very forthcoming-The guy tells me that he'll e-mail it right over. That was three weeks ago and I'm still waiting. So he tells me over the phone what the charges are and what was "doubled" and the numbers still don't add up. I tell him this and THAT was when he tells me about the $300 "doc fee" that had NEVER been discussed and they definitely did not tell me about. I tell him I did not recall seeing the papers signed that had the fee on it as I don't have a copy, he tells me it was signed and I have no choice but to believe him as I'm still waiting for a copy of that as well. Even if it was signed I find it quite curious that that was the only paperwork we did not get a copy of. VERY DECEPTIVE!!! I now believe that this was all done on purpose (even the mistaken "doubling" hoping that we didn't notice. And that's not all. We were told by Pawil our salesman that the financing rate would be 6%. Direct quote-"the rate WILL be 6% if not lower." Well sure enough we get home and look at the paperwork closely and the rate is 8.25%. Shame on us for not looking closely at the paperwork-but we trusted them as they were very nice and friendly-that was up until the point that I drove the car away. All of this hassle of trying to figure out what happened took MANY days as they do NOT return calls. If I did not catch the person at their desk I quickly found out that they would NOT call back. I waited to write this review until I had a chance to talk to the owner, thinking perhaps he didn't know what his employees were up to. He does call me back after I have to call a different branch to ask for him as the Auburn store wasn't even answering their phone (caller ID?). I explained the situation and he was very nice and says he'll "look into it and call you tomorrow". That was Tuesday and it is now Saturday. BUYER BEWARE!!! Update- Well I finally got the owner on the phone. Basically told me I was out of luck, and I could tell he didn't even know what I was talking about as I had to explain to him again what had happened. He had not looked into it AT ALL. So I call back the used car manager and he tells me "I could have told you that!" Still have not received the check or copies of the paperwork for their supposed "mistake". Over a month now and I call DAILY and they simply do not return the call. I am calling the AG's office on Monday. You would have to be INSANE to do business with these people. More
