I throughout my intentions to David Haynes about the Golf R and it quickly became my first choice. They beat local dealers on the purchase price and my trade in value and they didn't even have the Golf R on their lot. They located the exact car I wanted and the entire deal went down the right way with no shadiness of any kind. I recommend Patrick VW to everyone and especially my salesman David Haynes because he's an honest man that wants to help you get a car and not sell you something you don't need or can't afford. My best friend has already purchased a full driveway of VW's from Patrick VW due to my recommendations and personal experiences. More

My wife is thrilled with her new Toureg and that is always good for me! More
We bought our current Volkswagen Jetta TDI at Patrick. The sales service was fine, nothing stellar. We bought a car. However the service experience has been less than stellar. Last service they forgot The sales service was fine, nothing stellar. We bought a car. However the service experience has been less than stellar. Last service they forgot to put the engine cover back on. Then for the 80k service, which costs over $400, the car breaks down 10 days later - in a dangerous intersection. The 80k service is supposed to be a thorough inspection. I had it towed to my local mechanic. And the timing belt is dried and cracked (they did mention the wear on the tires and wanted me to get new ones right away, but don't replace the belt!), the oil is dirty (really in 10 days), among other things he noticed - a mouse nest in the engine for example. And what did Volkswagen say - I have to go back to them or pay for everything myself. How do I know it will be properly repaired? I am sure there will be an explanation for all this - they aren't responsible. My mechanic has no reason to lie - he isn't getting paid for his time and doesn't get any money from doing the repairs - and knew this upfront. Oh and did I mention, we used to have our Passat serviced there. Within two weeks of a major service the Passat transmission blew up because of a hose they couldn't have inspected and known wouldlet go and cause major damage. They wouldn't provide the damaged hoses. And then for $6000 they replaced the Passat transmission - with a certified REBUILT transmission - but it took three tries. The first transmission was damaged on arrival, the second one they put in and gave me the car and reverse and one of the forward gears didn't work, so then they installed a third one. There are many possibilities: -Incompetence -Fraud - we do have an extended warranty which pays us back if we don't use it in a certain time - so if the belt had gone it would be a bigger repair cost -Laziness My recommendation when buying a car, particularly new, is make sure you know how the service is because to maintain warranty or not to have to double pay for service, you need to stay with that dealer. I bought my first car from them 6 months ago, a barely used Saab 93. I found it online, at the lowest price in the area, went to test drive it, and bought it on the spot. I was given a more than fair of used Saab 93. I found it online, at the lowest price in the area, went to test drive it, and bought it on the spot. I was given a more than fair offer on my trade in, and I was a happy customer. I drive a lot for my job, so I was in for regular service a few times since, and every time, the service guys were the best! They always remembered my name, did great work, and left me with a good feeling that my car was being taken care of. Now...last month, I was in an accident and my beloved Saab was wrecked pretty good. I had it towed to Patrick Motors so they could be the ones to do the work on it, knowing that they would do it right. Unfortunately, since Saab is no longer in business, there were no parts to be found to fix the car. In the midst of dealing with the insurance company, the rental company, and being pretty bummed about my Saab...All the guys at Patrick were a big help in getting it all sorted out. Aaron immediately tossed me the keys to a couple of used VWs they had on the lot that were in my budget to test drive, and I found the perfect one. He helped me out on the price, which was already the lowest around, and I was in my new car within a couple of days. They do it right here. No bull, no pressure, no sleazy feeling like I've gotten at other dealers. It's a good feeling to have a dealership you can trust not to pull something over on you when you're not looking...they've got my business from now on. More
i have purchsed at least 5 cars over the internet in the last 5 years, for both my wife and daughters, and this experience was one of the best. I searched approximately 8 dealers for a vw from Rhode Island, last 5 years, for both my wife and daughters, and this experience was one of the best. I searched approximately 8 dealers for a vw from Rhode Island, CT., and in MA. What stood out for me was the internet people at patrick. They were up front, and friendly, and gave me no mixed messages, that they wanted me to buy a car, and not just to sell me a car. I gave them exactly what i was looking for, a sel jetta premium, 2012, and they came back with a price that stood out from the rest of the dealers. My impression was they wanted my business, and made me want to pursue this potential deal. They were organized in their presentations, and set everything up for my visit to the dealership. Even entering the dealership, it was a low key atmosphere, and the owner greeted me with small talk, without any B.S. Within a minute or two, i was greeted by Mike Andrews, the internet contact person, and then Aaron Tringuk, used car mgr. It should be noted I was buying a car for a friend. My friend had a trade, and Mr. Tringuk took my word on what the condition the vehicle was in, and from that, gave me a price that was a little high for my friends budget, and i gave him a reasonable counter offer which was accepted. Before getting into buying nogotiations, i was shown a similiar vehicle by Rob Smith, who gave me an excellent presentation of the vehicle. The color of the requested vehicle was not available in their inventory, but within 10 minutes, Mr.Tringuk had obtained the vehicle, and said vehicle would be ready for delivery the next day, which worked out perfect. i was and am extremely happy with this buying experience. This is the most pleasant experience I've had buying a vehicle. David lived up to his reputation. He was friendly, well informed, and made my purchase easy and quick. I love my new VW Sportwagen. Matt New vehicle. David lived up to his reputation. He was friendly, well informed, and made my purchase easy and quick. I love my new VW Sportwagen. Matt Newhouse and Andy LoConto, who helped, were fine to deal with too. David spent time familiarizing me with the vehicle and has even called to follow up, and to see if he can help with any questions I may have with operating the car's electronics. I strongly recommend Patrick Motors. More
The worst experience I've had at a business let alone car dealership. My experience entering any dealership includes being swarmed by people asking if they could help you. Not here. Wandered around parking l dealership. My experience entering any dealership includes being swarmed by people asking if they could help you. Not here. Wandered around parking lot looking at cars for 20 minutes then went inside and looked in the showroom cars for anothe 5-10 minutes and had to actually go to the desk and ask if any salesmen were around. If they give you Lenny Ball say no thanks. Prepare yourself for the dealer financing push even if you don't want it. Technique they use is that you may not be able to get the car for a few days's until they clear the bank check. Don't believe it. Lenny calls the next morning to tell me he's changing my appointment to pick up car cause of a conflict with someone else. Said not to change it cause I've made plans but does so anyway. Guess they can only sell one car at a time. Gets upset because 3-3:30 isn't good enough. Needs to know if it'll be 3, 3:15 or 3:30. Kidding? I tell him I'm using my bank he connects me to Andy for financing again. Spent the rest of the morning trying to get someone at Patrick to confirm whether or not I could pick the car up that day cause Lenny Ball left. Each person must be briefed on how to push for thier financing cause all said the same story how it's cheaper (not) and only way you can get the car without waiting days. On my way out the door to pick up the car that afternoon and Lenny Ball calls me and is pissed off at me and want to know what's been going on while away all day. Got in a shouting argument with him and he actually starts arguing with me. Salemen calling the customer to argue with him....brilliant. Get in for paperwork and they push financing again! When they push warranty I say no right away and guy gets upset cause I interuppted his warranty sale speach. Summarizes the Patrick way as they think your there for them rather than them being there for you. Ask for your warrnanty paperwork too. They try to tell you it's in the VIN when you take it to service. Ignore this at your own peril. More
My first experience at the Patrick motors had couple bumps along the way, and it is now in a past and forgotten. ALL because the care and work that Matthew Patrick places to make sure that in the end cu bumps along the way, and it is now in a past and forgotten. ALL because the care and work that Matthew Patrick places to make sure that in the end customer has a good experience is outstanding. My experience taught me that this is a very small world and you never know what people may say or how they view you when you meet them. But for sure if you leave a good impression it will go along way. Matthew is a visionary in understanding that. He takes his time to make sure every customer is happy and satisfied with experience at the Patrick motors. I am looking forward getting my car soon and I know that my experience at Patrick Motors will become a long lasting positive customer relationship. Thank you Matt for proving that it is a truly a Family business that cares about their customers and customer satisfaction. Great deal, Great customer service, Great positive experience. More
David Haynes was very helpful in my purchase of a new Saab 9-3 Sports Sedan. He was very patient as I took a total of six test drives. David has a passion for cars and understands them inside and out. Saab 9-3 Sports Sedan. He was very patient as I took a total of six test drives.
