The On Wednesday, May 22nd, I purchased a 2014 Mercedes C300 from Mini of Alexandria at 5990 Duke Street, Alexandria VA. It seemed to be a great deal. The car had less than 25k miles and was reasonably priced. I worked with Matt who came across as a great salesman and seemed to be genuine. He even mentioned they always sell great used vehicles because they want great reviews and returning customers. About 4 days after purchasing the vehicle (no warranty was included because they are not a certified Mercedes dealer), I took it to a certified Mercedes dealer who said that the car was in excellent condition overall but had a leak in the engine. A leak that was there for a while based on the residue. I immediately took the vehicle back to Mini of Alexandria to look into the concern. I was told that they would not repair it because it would not have passed inspection if it was previously damaged and they do not honor the standard 5 day return policy in VA. The Mercedes dealer service center made it clear that an engine leak would not have stopped the car from passing inspection so in my opinion Mini of Alexandria failed to effectively diagnose the car prior to its sale (or they did not reveal the repair needed). Ultimately I was stuck with a $1500 repair on a newly purchased car with no remorse from Matt or anyone else at Mini of Alexandria. They even refused to look at the car to access the damage. My advice is to stay clear of this dealer. Once they get your money they do not care about anything that follows. It was very disappointing that they did not do more to assist as it was apparent that the leak was old due to the residue. I'm thankful that it wasnt an overly expensive issue and that I can get it resolved but suppose the repair was more extensive? I plan to seek legal counsel forrestitution as this entire situation is unfair. Do not go to Mini of Alexandria if you want a reputable dealer. More

After months of car shopping and meetin I just purchased my dream car tonight!! Thanks to Vinnie and the other staff who made the process hassle-free. After months of car shopping and meeting with all types of car salespeople, Vinnie was like a breath of fresh air. He is professional, knowledgeable, and easy going. He was highly responsive but never pushy. Once I found my dream car, he made magic happen to provide a painless purchase process. He also took the time to make sure I was completely comfortable with all the tech and features of the car before driving off the lot. If you're looking for a Mini, see Vinnie! More

Both were terrific and went out of their way to make sure I would be just as happy driving my new leased car as I had been driving my old leased car. Also, in my 6 1/2 years I've been dealing with the service department I have not had any issues. Great experience overall. More
Awesome!!! Alexandria Mini is awesome!!! Every business would benefit by following their example of outstanding customer service. I bought a 06 Mini with 75k m Alexandria Mini is awesome!!! Every business would benefit by following their example of outstanding customer service. I bought a 06 Mini with 75k miles on it and no warranty. They had no problem dropping it off at my mechanic so he could inspect it before purchase. He noted a few minor things, nothing unusual for an 11 yr old car. I felt comfortable with the purchase. A week later it starts making a noise. My mechanic had the worst news. The transmission needed to be replaced and it would cost almost as much as I paid for the car. I went back to the dealer prepared for a fight. Not necessary! They took the car back and applied what I paid towards an 11 that was the same make, model and color as the car I had just purchased and fallen in love with. Alexandria Mini customer for life! More

Very disappointed The service shop here is terrible! I brought in a used 2008 Mini Clubman to be inspected to which they qouted me $3,000 dollars in repairs. My The service shop here is terrible! I brought in a used 2008 Mini Clubman to be inspected to which they qouted me $3,000 dollars in repairs. My trusted mechanic qouted under half of that based off the paperwork from Mini of Alexandria! I made an appointment for 9am and my car was not returned until after 11 am! They told me it would only be an hour for the multipoint inspection and diagnosis. When I left the lot my brakes were all of a sudden squeeky and my car no longer functioned the way it did just 2hrs before. It began to shudder upon pressing the gas and the check engine light was on 45 min later. I brought the car back to them and asked why this was happening all of a sudden; to which the first woman I spoke with told me they actually dont do a diagnosis during a multi point inspection ( it is clearly listed on my reciept as a part of their inspection ) Mr. Gomez then imformed me that he was the mechanic who worked on my car and the other employee didn't know what she was talking about. He said nothing he did would have caused that to happen and that the valves were mis-firing to which he qouted me 795.00 to change the spark plugs and coils. I drove the car from Manassas to DC twice and experienced none of these problems prior to bringing my car here. Understanding that things are not perfect with used vehicles I let the spark plug incident go...BUT THEN.. When I returned home I noticed that my windshield was cracked from the inside!!!! The crack begins under the hood!!! It definetly was NOT like this before I brought it here. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! Now I have to replace my windshield which is very unexpected when I had inspected the vehicle at the dealer I bought it from for 2 hours my self just two days before. I paid $6000 dollars cash for this VA inspected vehicle only to have the maker of the vehicle destroy it!!! I would suggest only having vehicles under their warranty worked on here because otherwise you may leave with your vehicle in worse shape than when you brought it in. And apparently this isnt the first time their employees have damaged someones car! More

The sales perso So I travel 5 hrs oneway for a specific used Mini Cooper this company had, I had my own bank loan with a check ready to strike a deal. The sales person, a sales manager and I came to a agreed upon price. We shook hands and I got my insurance company on the horn and placed insurance on the vehicle. I'm ready to sign the check to them. The sales person says we're going to need to run a credit check. I said for what? He says it's standard for people with checks from there bank. Hum sounds odd but I'll play. So I did and the manager comes back and says he priced me wrong and added another thousand to the price. He told me that the used car manager had to much in service cost and he could not loose money. I went and talked to the "used car manager" and even after upping my price one last time he got very disrespectful and ignored me. I am a service member and still believe in honor, respect, and the power of a handshake. But that doesn't mean much to Passport Mini Cooper of Alexandria Va. More
Stellar Salesman I recently was looking to lease a new compact car and MINI was on my list of options. I arrived about 20 minuites before they closed one evening, and Matt gladly took me for a test drive, and answered every question that I had, even though I was keeping him past closing. I decided to return the next day to see the car in the light, and his manager Ahmed took great care of me and made sure that I was happy with the deal that I was getting. I would definitely recommend Matt to anyone that is looking to get a MINI. More
Horrible Service Department After 25 years of owning Hondas and Acuras, I opted for a fun car. At least I thought I did. This car (purchased NEW) spends so much time in the shop, I wouldn't know if it was fun to drive or not. The service department people are rude and go to great lengths to ignore you while they socialize. They will never give you a straight answer about when your car will be ready (hours? days? Really---they have no idea) The dealership is uncomfortable and awkward---which is unfortunate because you can plan on spending a lot of time there. I will take a boring car, that gets mw where I want to go any day of the week. More
Disrespectful salesmanship I was in the process of buying a new mini from mini of Alexandria to replace the one I bought from them earlier. To be completely transparent, the sa I was in the process of buying a new mini from mini of Alexandria to replace the one I bought from them earlier. To be completely transparent, the salesman (David) and I completed negotiating the trade-in value of the old mini and we were discussing the new car value. He stated a figure and when I informed him that I will not be interested if that is the price he slammed the phone down. I was disappointed not only as a human being that expect to be treated with professionalism and common courtesy but also as a client of the company. He should know better and should be held accountable for this behavior. I am writing this to inform management of this as well as to inform potential clients to expect such reaction even when you are using credible and legitimate proxies such as consumer report as a bench mark for market value. That is not too much to expect from a legitimate company. More
