I took my car in for the first time at this dealership due to my last bad experience at my local Volvo dealership in Manhattan. I'm a person that has no problem traveling for quality work. I was hoping fo due to my last bad experience at my local Volvo dealership in Manhattan. I'm a person that has no problem traveling for quality work. I was hoping for a change of pace, the customer service is exceptional (as my local dealership service advisor was as well), but the quality of work needs improvement and I'll explain why. I had my maintenance interval done and although the worked performed appeared well done, I had a couple issues. First, in regards to the dealerships courtesy washing, if you are going to do such a fast job, why do it at all? By the time I picked up the car, the streaks of water/water spots had been baking under the hot sun. Secondly, I have a highly modified Volvo with a boost gauge installed. I received my car and noticed that the gauge was fluctuating at idle, and it was flickering with a power issue. Upon informing the service advisor, and examining with myself, the problem appeared to be with a loose wire that was under a power source in the engine bay. My problem, and why I stopped giving business to my local dealership after 5+ years (my family 20+ years), was because of lack of accountability. My gauge has been working perfectly for several years (no flickering, no loose wire) and coincidentally when I have it returned, there is a loose wire and it's not working properly anymore. Although he was helpful in diagnosing the problem with myself, I got the impression as though it's my issue to deal with. If I bring in my vehicle with everything working, and I get it back with something not working, why can't dealerships do the right thing and fix it? (especially since it would probably only take them 30 minutes to correct) Besides those issues (which are major in what I look for when paying premium dealership prices), I liked the location, customer service, and the labor rate is about 20% less than my local dealership. I'm unsure if I would recommend them (as first impressions are important), and if I do return for future service, I will have them take a look at my gauge/etc. to show that all parts are working prior to any work done so that they can't claim otherwise, and are held accountable for fixing the issue. Now I will attempt to fix it on my own, or I will have to shell more money to fix a problem that did not exist prior to having my vehicle serviced at this dealership. More

I had quite a problem with my Volvo vehicle. Jeff and Eddie went up and beyond in their attempts to provide correct answers to all questions and to provide the highest level of service. They patiently listened to all concerns, provided service to the vehicle which was requested by the customer and they did not try or attempt to sell products or services just to sell them. Their knowledge was very impressive. The wait time was minimal, they both kept the customer updated as to when the work was going to be completed. The estimates were reasonable and they were provided ahead of performing the actual work. More

I brought my car in to be detailed. My expectation was for it to be clean when I received it back but instead it looked brand new. This being no small feat as I have three children I chauffeur around all for it to be clean when I received it back but instead it looked brand new. This being no small feat as I have three children I chauffeur around all day. I've had cars detailed before and while they've come back clean I've never had one returned to me this spotless. They even got all of the stains out of the carpets and upholstery. In addition, I was driven to and picked up from work while they had my car. When they were finished they pointed out several things that needed attention, such as my very bald tires, but did not pressure me into purchasing or paying for anything I didn't originally come in for. I had mentioned a problem with the sliding door and they fixed it without it costing a fortune! I had taken it elsewhere when the same problem happened with the slider on the opposite side and it cost $1000 to fix. I found the quality of work to be excellent and extremely accommodating to their customers. I would certainly recommend them and plan to return again! More
In almost 45 years of driving and over 35 years driving Volvos of various models and years, Palisades Volvo is by far the best dealer I have ever worked with. They are honest, fair, talk from the hip, do w Volvos of various models and years, Palisades Volvo is by far the best dealer I have ever worked with. They are honest, fair, talk from the hip, do what you ask and more and are like having my own personal mechanics. The service writers are real and have a heart and the mechanics are the best bunch of guys I could ever want to work on my cars. I am there several times a year with four Volvos, all of which have well over 110,000 miles and I have never once had to make a complaint, argue, or even come close to anything but praise for them. They reflect the kind of dealership that so many wish they could strive to be. My family has a relationship with this dealership that we have never struggled to make it happen. It just does. And we have spent many thousands of dollars are regular high milesage repairs and they always treat us like family. Would I recommend them? Without question! I would encourage as many of you who read this to think about the fact that we have four cars with the following milesage: 1997 V90 (393,000 miles), 2001 XC70 (119,600 miles), 2002 XC70 (157,000 miles) and a 2004 V70R AWD with (116,000) miles and I would not take any one of them to any place else for service, I feel that confident and that satisfied with their work. You won't and can't find another dealer that is on this level in this area. Forget what thjose who are panning the place say. Those are people that no matter what you do for them they still complain. Take it from our family, Palisades Volvo is by far head and shoulders above anyone else in the Tri State area period, end of story!! Denis L. Tanney, New City, NY More
