I was asked to sign a hand written contract saying if they could get me at the payments I wanted, they would earn my business. I had no problem with this because with $1000 down and no more than $450 a month was my budget and that's what was on the contact. So the guy I worked with came back with "exciting news". He told me he was able to work out a deal on my price range. He offered me $1000 down and $400 every 2 weeks. I explained that was double what I planned to pay. He then proceeded to ask if I had GAP insurance. At that time I didn't know what that was. He began yo explain to me that if I wasn't in the current car loan, he would be able to easily get me to the price I wanted. I told him the only way I could get out was if the dealership purchased my vehicle. He explained that I was upside down on my loan however, if something was to "happen" to my car, the GAP insurance would cover me anf I would be wiped clean and could get into one of his cars. At that time I caught on to what he was trying to do. I then asked him was he asking me to intentionally commit insurance fraud. When he finally realized I caught on, he changed his mind and told me there was nothing that could be done. More

Called ahead to talk with their Service Dept. to make sure they could get completed in one day - was told yes, they had plenty of parts. Dropped it off the night before. Started calling at 11 AM to get updates because if they weren't going to finish it I had to make other car arrangements. Called 4 times thru 4:30 PM, spoke with a Keith and a Brian and only got excuses on how busy they were. Also left multiple voice messages with Morgan, who I was told was the Service Writer for my vehicle. Never got much help from anybody. Brian did say to call back about 4:30 if I didn't hear from Morgan by then. Well, I didn't, so I called once again and got a Michael - finally some action. Michael tried getting Morgan on the line and when that didn't happen, he asked for my PH# and said he was going down to Morgan's desk to get some answers. Michael DID call me back about 4:50 to say the car will be done by 6 PM. Morgan finally called me at 5:45 PM to say the car will be done by 6 PM and we could pick it up after that. Went to PW at 7 PM and what another adventure. Went to cashier, paid for what we owed, and was told a Porter will bring the car out front - NOT. Waited for a while and then went back inside - looked thru the Service Windows and saw the car still in a service bay with the hood open - ugh! The Porter came thru the door and said 'this isn't good'. Finally someone from Sales came over to see what the issue was. He had to call the Service Mgr. at home to see if the car was done. It was, but they had to get it out of there and clean it. We finally got the car 1 hour after showing up to pick it up. My time is as valuable as theirs. Would I go back there or recommend them for Service - NOPE. I'll drive further and go to Willowbrook Ford where they know the meaning of Customer Service, actually call you back, and the Service Writers are responsive. More

With telling me the fair category in Kelly blue book is immaculate condition and then coming up with a lease payment he couldn't explain. Before shopping, like most responsible adults, I did some research online. I was able to make the same car with a lease payment of $195 and he came to me with a $320 payment per month! He then proceeds to tell me that the taxes are what makes it so much different (that is $4500 dollar taxes over 3 years on a 29,000 car! And from my understanding you only pay taxes on the amount of the lease.) so I asked him to see what the taxes are and he told me they don't have those numbers. He then pulls up the ford calculator and makes the same car in front of me- resulting in a $195 payment- his excuse now is that their calculators on the website are wrong and instead of putting $4000 down you'd actually have to put down $8000... A manufacture wouldn't last long having such a faulty calculator on their website. Avoid this dealer and their shady business practices at all cost. More

He bought a CMax from Packey Webb Ford and had a good experience with the purchase and sales person. He really likes the car and the gas mileage he gets. After the car purchase, he wanted a roof rack installed and had Packey Webb Ford order and install it. When the parts came in, he took the car to the service department for installing. When it came out, it wasn't the roof rack he asked for. Now they are telling him they will only rebate $130 of the over $500 it cost due to restocking fee, etc. IT WAS THEIR ERROR and they are expecting a retiree to pay for their error. This is pathetic service. It's been 3 months now and they are doing NOTHING to fix this. Very, very poor service. We expect a resolution to this soon. More

It is my opinion that they participated in deceitful and dishonest business practices. I went to Packey webb ford in downers grove IL with a particular truck in mind that I found online. I was introduced to Tj Orlicz, test drove the truck and we talked numbers and settled on about 54,800 for the purchase price of the truck. Unfortunately, the monthly payments were a little high so Tj Orlicz suggested a lease. I will admit that I was completely naive about the workings of a lease but TJ explained to me with the lease that my monthly payments would be $100 lower. To my surprise, TJ never mentioned that the purchase price of the truck would go up by 8000 dollars. I was under the impression that the numbers he and I worked out were the numbers for the lease as well as buying the truck outright, Now I have a truck that I over paid by 8000 dollars and when I went back to talk to Tj Orlicz he insists that its fine. He agreed that we negotiated a price of 54,800 for the purchase but he could not lease it for that price. This information would have been much more helpful for us at the time of signing. I never would have purchased or leased this vehicle for $62,000. When I confronted TJ he actually asked if I would have still bought the truck at 62,800 and I said no and he used that as an excuse for this behavior saying he wanted to "get me in that truck ". I don't believe this is an honest way of doing business. Yes, my monthly payments are important to me, but the bottom line factor for me is the purchase price. We have tried speaking with TJ and a sales manager but they do not offer any type of compensation or negotiation. They said in the end we should be happy because we have a beautiful truck. Unfortunately they are not the ones making the monthly payment. More

I chose this dealership for its big inventory of used cars, but I ended up buying a new one there, which is my own mistake. (It's 50 miles from my home and many Ford dealers are closer.) I felt comfortable with my sales rep, but as often happens, once the sale was made, the assistance ended. When I picked up my car, only one key/remote was available and they wrote me an IOU. To get my 2nd key, they have told me that I would have to make the 100 mile round trip to their service department. Yes, I chose to drive that distance to buy my car. No, I will not be driving that distance for service when another Ford dealer is 5 miles from me. It's been been three months and I don't have my key/remote. Last month, after many calls/emails, the sales rep finally agreed to arrange for me to get my key from a local dealership. I am still waiting. It's my mistake for purchasing my car at Packey Webb. They could have easily made me a happy customer, by simply making a phone call to my local dealer to arrange this. I won't make this mistake again and I'll make sure that anyone I know who is considering a new car will not either. Tim Sokley More
