Consumer Fraud on Used Car Sale Prior to signing a PO for the sale and transport of a used 2018 Ford F150 on 4/15/20, Packey Webb Ford provided an inspection form upon request which Prior to signing a PO for the sale and transport of a used 2018 Ford F150 on 4/15/20, Packey Webb Ford provided an inspection form upon request which stated there was no exterior damage present on the vehicle. Images of the truck received prior to purchase also did not show any noticeable damage. This information used as the basis for the purchase of the vehicle. When the vehicle was delivered to my residence on 4/24/20, I noted that the transport company had indicated damage to the exterior of the vehicle at the time of pickup from the dealer on their delivery report. I immediately notified the dealer of the obvious, excessive damage, sent pictures, and provided two estimates for the repair (the lower of which was $2600). After unsuccessfully trying to get in contact with the used car manager for three weeks and not receiving a return call, he finally answered and blamed the transport company for the damage and refused to cover the cost of repair. Even though the transport company provided pictures showing the damage at the time of pickup in the dealer lot, Packey Webb has assumed no responsibility and maintains that the transport company is at fault. Packey Webb continues to refuse to reimburse me for the cost of repair or to pay to have the vehicle repaired at a location reasonably near my home in Virginia. More
