Before I begin, let me just say how truly saddened I am by having to write this review. My initial experience with Open Road Mazda of Morristown was very positive. I was happy with my purchase/trade-in by having to write this review. My initial experience with Open Road Mazda of Morristown was very positive. I was happy with my purchase/trade-in process. That was where my positive experience ended. First of all, be sure that whatever salesperson you get knows what they are doing, because our salesperson has constantly lied to us or has been given false information. Unfortunately, you are stuck with the same salesperson throughout your time working with Open Road Mazda. There were two things the car needed a repair on, and we needed a second key. My husband was told by our sale person to come at a certain time so he would be there when the key guy was there. He waited three hours (I 100% do not blame their key guy, who was apparently very kind. Open Road Mazda should have confirmed when he was coming so my husband didn't have to wait around for hours). Now, onto the real issue. The salesperson had not contacted me about my plates, or about having one of the issues re-looked at on my car. I sent him the video of this issue of my car on October 8th, and he didn't even send it to the service department until October 21. He didn't even know my name, and for several days kept saying that my plates were not in, however he was looking under the wrong name! When he looked under the correct name several days later, he realized the plates were in. I NEVER received a call when Open Road Mazda got them, and since they are clearly behind on everything, I am assuming they had the plates for several days. I had been constantly following up about the plates because my husband and I work very far from the dealer, so we wanted to make sure we had time to pick them up. The salesperson offered to have the plates overnighted, and I agreed, I EVEN OFFERED TO PAY THE OVERNIGHT FEE. The salesperson proceeded to constantly lie about the plates being put in the mail. Finally, he admitted that someone had put the plates in the regular mail with no tracking number, 7 days before my plates expired. With mail delays with COVID, there is no way that they were going to get to me on time, so the salesperson PROMISED Open Road Mazda will pay for any tickets I incur due to expired plates (however, the General Manager is saying that they won't. Thank goodness I have this in writing). The General Manager is very rude, disrespectful, and honestly quite shady. Not only did he try to say that if I had gotten a ticket because of expired plates he wouldn't pay for it (which is ridiculous since his sales guy promised he would), he tried to blame me for not picking up the plates (which once again- my intention by continuously reaching out to our original sales guy was so my husband and I could rearrange our schedules so we could pick up the plates, and then we were given the option to have them overnighted to us). He not only lied, he wouldn't even give me a letter on Open Road letterhead stating that the plates had been mailed and not delivered on time, the plate number in question, and that I would be getting newly issued plates on the day they expired, even though it would have been a simple thing for them to do. I would recommend everyone stay away from Open Road Mazda. More

Very friendly, honest dealership. Just leased our 4th car from them. This time it's a CX-30. Was worried about bait and switch but never happened. Got exactly what i wanted and they went and got the car for from them. This time it's a CX-30. Was worried about bait and switch but never happened. Nothing but trouble and issues with this dealership from day one, first they screwed up my paperwork and double charged me for gap insurance, it took two weeks to get it corrected because nobody would retur day one, first they screwed up my paperwork and double charged me for gap insurance, it took two weeks to get it corrected because nobody would return my calls, then because of this delay, my permanent registration has been delayed and my temporary registration expires today May 30, I called numerous times never received a response, I had to call Mazda Corp for it to be told I could go back to the dealership to get another temporary registration for 30 days until my regular plates come in, I went to the dealership, and I was told they cannot give me one until the one I have expires, mind you the one I have expires on Sunday, May 30 when the dealership is closed, I went there on Saturday, May 29, and was told they would have to come back on Monday May 31st, at this point I would be driving with an unregistered vehicle since the temporary registration would expire and there are no more Covid extensions in the state of New Jersey they all expired already. So now I am being forced to drive an unregistered vehicle back to the dealership in an attempt to obtain a temporary tag for their mistakes and screw ups the entire process and everybody I have dealt with so far has been completely and totally useless I do not recommend spending your time or money here you will not be satisfied . They lie about numerous things and try to pass off these things as truth except when you know better you catch them in their lives and then they backpedal More

Sherif Haskaj is the best of the best! Professional, personable, friendly. Our experience buying a new car was just what we hoped for. Our salesman was polite and courteous BUT the gentlemen in finance department Ernie was less than pleasant. He is rude, arrogant and very disrespectful. He gave us his "southern boy charm" but we were less in finance department Ernie was less than pleasant. He is rude, arrogant and very disrespectful. He gave us his "southern boy charm" but we were less than impressed when we questioned charges on the vehicle we were purchasing. We expected and honest reply. Instead Ernie tried to dismiss my request and tell us that they are standard dealer fees. Regardless if it is a standard dealer fee, I requested a breakdown of charges in excess of $2000 and 2 weeks later I still have not received a reply to my request. Apparently Ernie has the only email in the company that does not allow him to send outgoing emails. I would highly recommend if anyone decides to purchase a vehicle from this dealership, do not use this man as your finance representative and do yourself a favor and ask for the "Dealer Prep Fee" breakdown before signing your finances away. This fee is just the finance department way of making money on you for services they do not perform on the vehicle. Secure etch fee is also another dealer fee that you should not pay for but they will charge for it. Also, when they tell you your vehicle is going for detailing, beware of the length of time it takes. It took over 4 hours for our vehicle to be detailed and bottom line is, it went thru the car wash and that was it. The windows were still dirty and the inside of the vehicle was never touched. Bottle caps, leaves, dirt and debris were still in the vehicle. The Managers of this dealership should be ashamed they let a vehicle be driven away like this. More
