Very Rude and unethical - Changed the price on the spot I went to buy Mazda 3 from them and the manager was very rude from the get go. Had a good test drive experience so asked them to quote me a price from my trade-in and new car. They offered me $1k than lower price for the new car and $4k lower for the trade-in. When I mentioned that trade-in value is not what I am expecting he said then I should just walk away. So the next day went to Maxon Mazda and bought the car from them. Very professional service and staff was great. More
Worst dealership ever! Seriously don't bother. That was the worst experience I've ever had. They were extremely rude and try to strong arm you on everything, there's no negotiating with them. The will nickle and dime you as well and kill you on the hidden fees and bogus charges. The charge for a detailing which they didn't do at all! I honestly don't understand how they get any good reviews at all it's impossible with the way the do business. I've purchased cars before and NEVER had this experience. More
Truly Exceptional My daughter and i stopped in last weekend to look at a Mazda 3 for her. Although the dealership was pretty busy, we were met at the door by a manager My daughter and i stopped in last weekend to look at a Mazda 3 for her. Although the dealership was pretty busy, we were met at the door by a manager. He held the door for us and apologized for how hectic things may have seemed, but assured us that a sales person would be with us within a few minutes. Paul walked us to a waiting area and shared a bottle of water with us while we waited. Within 10 minutes or so, a sales person became free and came over to join us. It was all very casual and personalized. It was nice to get that kind of attention on a busy day. We test drove a Mazda 3 Grand Touring with Marty. He let us take it out for about 20 minutes to really get a good feel for it. We were both surprised at how many techie gadgets it had. Marty was really professional and very sweet. We like that car and we liked Marty, too. To fit within our budget, he suggested leasing the car instead of purchasing it outright. We had never leased before, so he took the time to explain the pros and cons of leasing. Weighing both, we decided leasing would be better for her. Within a few hours, she was driving away in a brand new, red, Mazda 3. The comfort and ease of the whole process was great and the look on her face as she drove away was priceless. Thanks Paul and Marty for helping us!! More

Once I bought the car they told me they needed to swap the custom wheels for standard wheels since I bought the showroom car. They said they will keep the tech on site to make the swap. Once the purchase was completed, they said the tech left and I could not take the car I just purchased because they can't take their wheels off. They tried SCAMMING from the time I walked through the door. To top it off, they charged me $400 to handle the DMV stuff and get my plates sent to me. Instead they sent them to the dealershipp and said I needed to pay $25 to ship them to me. Everyone knows USPS can ship these for less than $5. Customer service is also TERRIBLE. More
Mike in sales is the best! We bought our CX9 about a month ago and every time we have had a question about the vehicle or needed anything, Mike was happy to help us. I was just there today picking up my plates and he sat with me and explained some of the features in my car. I highly recommend Open Road Mazda in Morristown and Mike in their sales department. More
They Do the Right Thing After visiting two other dealers without being impressed, I agreed to see Marty after my son went for a test drive of the 2014 CX-5 earlier in the day After visiting two other dealers without being impressed, I agreed to see Marty after my son went for a test drive of the 2014 CX-5 earlier in the day. Marty was knowledgeable and pleasant without being the least pushy--I really hate dealing with car salesmen but he was the exception. I was sold on the car -- and the manufacturer rebate certainly sealed the deal. While waiting for the paperwork to be drawn up, I was greeted by two more salesmen who, along with Marty, explained the rebate programs were not working on this car--and, since the technical difficulty was not my fault, were going to lease me the 2015 AW drive model at the exact same price since it wasn't my fault! Who does that anymore? So instead of the FW 2014, I left the dealer with the 2015 AW. I am so pleased to have found a dealer I can feel comfortable returning to - the two other dealers seemed bored and uninterested (is business really that good?). More
Before starting from home, I called the dealership and asked for Out of the door price. I was given a price, but when I went their they asked for additional $900 in fees. My Manager was probably very very asked for Out of the door price. I was given a price, but when I went their they asked for additional $900 in fees. My Manager was probably very very rude. Bought a car and helped a local charity, too. I'm happy to give this store a big thumbs up. I was going to wait until my current lease was over before upgrading to a 2014 model, but I got a phone ca happy to give this store a big thumbs up. I was going to wait until my current lease was over before upgrading to a 2014 model, but I got a phone call from the dealership offering to get me out of my lease early. Additionally, they said they would donate money toward a local charity if I switched before the end of the year. As a fundraiser in the area myself, I was glad to help. I managed to trade in my old car, get a newer model, keep my payment the same and help St Judes Children's Hospital. They even made the donation in my name right from the dealership. I think it's a win-win. More
You would think that Black Friday would be a terrible time to buy a car. I went prepared for big, obnoxious, crowds and pushy sales people. I brought my husband for moral support (who was less than thr time to buy a car. I went prepared for big, obnoxious, crowds and pushy sales people. I brought my husband for moral support (who was less than thrilled) and lots of snacks (I get cranky when I don't eat). We arrived around 9:30 after stopping at some other local shops. I was happy to find that there was no big crowd and everyone working there seemed pleasant enough. My husband and I had done our homework online and knew exactly what we wanted and what we wanted to pay for it. The internet makes this so easy if you know what sites to use. A word or advise: price your car before going to the dealership using three or four different web sites. All of the prices should be very close to each other. If one is WAY OFF, you know something is up. I used to work in retail marketing and know that everyone's profit margins are about the same. If a deal seems too good to be true, believe me it is. Don't bother trying to convince the sales staff that you can get an unreasonable price...you'll just end up frustrating both of you (I'm speaking from experience from both sides). Anyway, we took the average price from three websites and headed out to buy our CX9. We were greeted at the door by Marty who was very pleasant. We let him know that we did our homework and what we were looking for. He was good about moving along at a comfortable pace. We didn't feel rushed, but it certainly didn't drag along either. We test drove a CX9 Grand Touring model (the one we researched) even though we had already made the 90% decision to buy it. We weren't disappointed by the drive. It matched all of the reviews that we had read. It was sporty, but really comfortable. It handled really well and didn't feel "mushy" like our previous SUV. And, we really appreciated all of the standard features. We liked that we didn't have to pay extra for the backup camera, side monitors, bluetooth, and too much other stuff to mention. We took advantage of the available rebates and financed the car for 60 months (no penalty for paying it off early!). I don't have anything negative to say about the car or the dealership. Everything went smoothly, probably because we had done so much research and had reasonable expectations. I never needed my copious snacks and we weren't there long enough for my husband to get impatient. A win-win situation for everyone. More
My wife and I came for a particular car. We weren't shopping for any new car. We wanted to trade in our 2005 MX-5, for a new 2014 model. It had to be red. In the entire country, there were only a few a shopping for any new car. We wanted to trade in our 2005 MX-5, for a new 2014 model. It had to be red. In the entire country, there were only a few available. Within 3 days of our visiting the dealership, I received a call from Anthony. Between him and the dealership, Open Road Mazda found the exact car we wanted, had it delivered to the dealership, and that night we were driving home in the car we wanted. The way I see it, they went above and beyond to get us exactly what we wanted, and we didn't get ripped off. When my wife is ready for a new MX-5, Open Road Mazda will be our first, and probably only stop. I hope Anthony is still there when that time comes. More
