Ontario Hyundai went out of the way to make sure we were taken care of. From the first phone inquiry we made, until I drove off the lot, everyone at the dealership was kind and helpful. Tracy went above and taken care of. From the first phone inquiry we made, until I drove off the lot, everyone at the dealership was kind and helpful. Tracy went above and beyond to make sure that I was aware of every feature in the car. Riham made sure that she explained the lease in detail. Every team member helped us to lease a car that we felt was safe, within our budget, and suited our needs for the next 24 months. More

This is going to be lengthy review about my negative experience at Ontario Hyundai. On January 2023, I purchased a 2020 Ford Mustang from Ontario Hyundai. Fast forward to the financial process and le experience at Ontario Hyundai. On January 2023, I purchased a 2020 Ford Mustang from Ontario Hyundai. Fast forward to the financial process and lengthy paperwork, I met Brian (Finance Manager) who was able to perform all those tasks. I have bought many cars (new and used) in the past, so to my surprise Brian was saying I needed to have these (optional) things before buying my Mustang. Brian said I needed to have the ETCH, EasyCare Maintenance, and SkyForce GPS included in my purchase before I could proceed. He did his best sales talk to have it made it look like it was incredibly necessary for my USED Mustang. So, I (stupidly without asking) initialed my name to the contract saying I agreed to have those things applied to my car. Lesson learned, for all those buying from this dealership, ALWAYS check your contract and ask for a breakdown of what you’re paying in the end. Those EasyCare Maintenance, ETCH, and SkyForce GPS rack up the bill because dealerships do that to make money (unfortunately I was the victim). The car had problems like the roof liner sagging, which they refused to fix saying it was a used car and it was already at a discounted price according to my salesperson, Sarah. So, there was no Due Bill in the end because of what Sarah claimed. Here’s another weird thing, she made me initial on the boxes of an empty paper which looked like a dealership review. She didn’t even explain to me what that paperwork was for, all she said was to initial my name there. There’s a lot of ‘shady’ things going on this dealership, but unfortunately the car that I wanted was at their parking lot for a cheap price. Again, fast forward to this month, August, I wanted to cancel my EasyCare Maintenance contract. I filled out the paperwork online and submitted it to the dealership. It took over 4 weeks to have it cancelled by EasyCare, but now the problem is receiving the refund or the check. According to Brenda, one of the people who handles the cancellations and refunds for EasyCare Maintenance, she said the check will be mailed and sent to my Lien Holder, which is Alaska Federal Credit Union (now known as Global Credit Union). I called Brenda sometime around end of July to get an update and she said the check was already cashed. The question is: By who? Who received the check and cashed it? Why wasn’t it applied to my Auto Loan balance? Now I am at this dilemma where over $1500 is gone due to the dealership not properly sending the check to the correct department or correct address. I even contacted Global Credit Union regarding if they received any check from this dealership and unfortunately, they have not received any check from this dealership. I am tired of playing this cat and mouse game and I wish this problem was resolved already. I may have to take legal action if this problem isn’t rectified by the end of this month. It’s a hassle, but that is what I get for not being careful with this dealership. And I’m still waiting for my ETCH cancellation and refund as well. This is going to be a lengthy problem unfortunately. I had a very terrible experience buying cars at Ontario Hyundai. I would recommend people to go to CarMax instead if you would like to buy USED cars because their process of buying used cars is flawless and extremely easy. More
