I had a terrific experience yesterday at Northstar Kia. I was greeted warmly by Cosmo upon arrival -- even though I was 30 minutes late! It wasn't a problem at all. He patiently walked me through the process and explained what did and didn't need to happen at my 15K mileage check-up. He told me exactly how long it would take (90 mins). I was wearing headphones and asked to be notified when the job was done. We made a plan for coming back and they even through in a free carwash! I will be coming back here for all my future work on the Kia. One of the smoothest and friendliest interactions I've had with a mechanic shop. More
Sales person was more interested in what the car needed first instead of what I came in for first. I needed an inspection sticker, a bulb, windshield wipers & to check why the dashboard sensor was on. He first instead of what I came in for first. I had to ask him a couple of times about issues. He was a little augmentative with me, it took a long time & I had to ask him what the status was of the car. Plus he gave me the wrong address. I specifically asked him about the address from a prior Kia maintenance receipt. I had to call again to speak to another staff person. When I arrive & said you gave me the wrong address; he said you must have misunderstood. Even though u repeated the address twice over the phone. I think Kia is a good brand but I felt like I would not come back to that service center. I left not feeling good about my experience. I drove 10 miles specifically to get to Kia dealership. Customer service is big with me. Even the clerk at the cashier window gave me a look as to say, “why is he talking to you like that. I think Kia is still a good brand. I only have 30,000 miles on my 2016 Kia Sportage as the second owner. More
The visit was to perform general maintenance and fix a slow leak in one of my tires.
