Poor Customer Service I ordered a Toyota part from North Hills Toyota, which was advertised on Amazon. The part had a retail price and it advertised free shipping. I paid I ordered a Toyota part from North Hills Toyota, which was advertised on Amazon. The part had a retail price and it advertised free shipping. I paid the full price and completed my order. The next day or so I was informed by Amazon that North Hills Toyota cancelled my order, stating they could not ship to my address. I called North Hills Toyota Parts Department and talked with the parts guy who cancelled my order. He stated that his boss said the shipping was too expensive, so cancel the order. I explained that they advertised "Free Shipping" on their Amazon add and he said he didn't care, that I could buy it from another dealership. Amazingly, in a rude and offensive tone, he said he was too busy to talk with me and hung up the phone. I live in Idaho (which is in the USA; not like its international shipping, etc.) and feel they should have stood behind their advertised commitment at the point of sale. As a Deputy Sheriff and career Federal LE officer, I see this as deceptive advertising and sales practices, and borderline fraudulent. I called the General Manager of the North Hills Toyota, he did not pick up, I left a message, but it has not been returned... I strongly recommend you use your economic vote and take your business elsewhere. More

I purchased a vehicle there not quite a year ago (which was actually a horrible experience with clueless sales and management) and three days ago went back there to look for another car. I've had Rav 4's and a Venza and thought I'd drive the C-HR EXL Premium SUV. Once again the sales person was clueless and had virtually NO information about the vehicle. I test drove it and it was very much like driving a tin can on wheels. The salesperson did not get additional information about the vehicle and I'm not sure I can express what a disappointing experience this was. I drove down the street to Baierl Honda and left with a new HR-V which was an excellent purchase. The salesperson and financial person were professional and welcoming (Just FYI - I am a woman). They were knowledgeable and made the entire experience worthwhile. I've never enjoyed buying a car so much. North Hills Toyota used to be a decent dealership but no more. I have switched to Baierl Honda and would never recommend North Hills Toyota to anyone in the future. More

They ex During my visit on June 22 , 2017 , the staff made every effort to obtain financing , and payment terms that would be suited to my situation. They exhausted every avenue . It was very helpful, and greatly appreciated, that they extended the time , working with me , knowing that I had not come prepared with a useful trade-in or down payment. I would recommend this dealership to anyone seeking to purchase a vehicle , without hesitation. Great establishment , Great employees !!! More

This price is written into your lease agreemen The lease on my Corolla is about to expire and I decided to buy it for the residual value of the lease. This price is written into your lease agreement. I went to North Hills Toyota to complete this transaction. They started by handing me off to a sales rep... why? This is a cut & dry deal.. I've already stated my intention to buy this car and the price is pre-determined. The only variables are the interest rate and length of the loan. We should have gone straight to a finance person to fill out paperwork and that's it. Instead I get asked "where do you want to be for a payment". Really? I said just have your finance guy offer me an interest rate and we'll do the math. Sales guy comes back with a paper showing a monthly payment that was $30 more than what I had already calculated it should be. I looked at the first line of the detail and it showed a purchase price $1,100 higher than my residual value! I told sales guy that wasn't right so he went back to finance guy. He returns and said the difference was for "government fees" (the calculation he had also included the normal title, tax, registration, etc). I told him I'd never heard of such a thing and would need an itemization. He went back to finance guy & returned with the same "government fees" line of BS but no itemization and tried to tell us we'd incur those fees no matter where we went. We left, went to Baierl Toyota, and they told us there are no "government fees" beyond the tax, title, and registration fees you'd expect. In fact, in a lease buyout deal Baierl said that legally a dealership can add a max of $250 to the residual value (Baierl adds $0, for the record). So what North Hills tried to do was actually illegal. tl;dr I wouldn't do business with North Hills Toyota, but if you do make sure you closely inspect every number they put in front of you before signing anything.
