Between my little girl and I we have placed around 100 calls to them trying to get them to help with their mistakes. You get the run around, lied to, empty promises, and transfer/disconnects. I feel they tricked us because it says there is some damage to the car on carfax but they will not tell us what - like it is hidden. Next the brakes went out within a week and my daughters father and I shelled out another $579 to repair. The salesman spelled my dtr's name wrong while we were there. He crossed it off on the paperwork and not in the computer. We asked if this would be a problem later and he said no it would be fixed. A lie. We have been BEGGING for weeks for them to spell her name right so she could get another temp tag or plate. Runaround. The manager told me yesterday a promise that he would call me back and handle this himself. Another lie. We have been NOT called back over 20 times. Last night the man who messed up the paperwork told my daughter just to drive with expired tags - we have screenshots. "I am sorry I got busy again. You can drive, they are not pulling people over for this". Finally today I got the BMV to give us a temp tag even though the name and address is spelled wrong on the memorandam title and paperwork. We have been advised by the police and BMV to file a report with the attorney general. I missed work today and so did my daughter. She missed her best friends birthday. We both have high credit scores and stable income. This business is all too happy to take your money and then you realize later you've been duped. This is the worst car buying experience I've ever had. We are filing a report with the Attorney General, BBB, and anyone who will listen. Lily's father was one day away from calling his attorney to assist us. Basically - we got screwed by North Coast Mitsubishi of Akron. Arien was our salesman. All LIARS with no integrity of follow through for their customers. BEWARE! In business - if you want repeat business and word of mouth business you take care of people and fix your mistakes after taking their money. By yesterday they were hanging up on us - asking our name and then we'd be 'disconnected'. Julia and Lily. More
At first, things went ok. I inquired online about a used vehicle in stock and communicated with a sales rep to set up a time to look at the vehicle. Prior to coming in, I asked if there was a limit on personal checks. The rep responded that they don’t accept personal checks but I could pay with “cash, cashiers check, debit or credit”. I also asked for the out the door pricing including all taxes and fees prior to coming to the dealership. I arrived on the agreed upon date and time. Took the vehicle for a test drive while they looked ant our trade-in. I did notice that the detailing of the vehicle was subpar- dirty cup holders, didn’t vacuum crumbs out of the seat cracks. This is just pure laziness on the dealerships’ part for a $70k+ vehicle. After the test drive, the sales person gave us the financing application. I then said that I intended to purchase the vehicle outright. I did not ask for any adjustment to lower the out the door pricing previously provided. Emily, the finance person, was weirdly hostile towards me. She gave me the trade-in offer and then tossed paperwork at me while saying “The pricing provided to you was for financing only. We don’t do cash offers. We only do in-house financing. We don’t make the money off the vehicles”. That’s fine- I completely understand the business model they operate in. They add extra percentages onto the bank’s actual rate and get a kickback for arranging the loan. But to claim they don’t make any money from the pricing of the vehicle is disingenuous and ridiculous. Then the inquisition started about WHY I didn’t want to finance. They kept trying to pressure me into taking their in house financing and saying I could pay it off as soon as it went through without penalty. If I wanted to take financial and contractual advice from someone, it certainly isn’t going to be from this car dealership staff. Tired of the unnecessary rudeness and hostility unleashed by Emily, I left the dealership. They are entitled to running their business however they want but I am entitled to purchase in the manner I want as well. They should probably be upfront about not accepting cash or outside financing options as to not waste people’s time. Don’t waste your time or money at this place. I’m thankful that I avoided doing business here. Read the BBB complaints and you will find out what you need to about how they conduct themselves legally and morally. More

Thursday night I look up the car to get the dealers address and I see that they raised the price to $20,924. When they called on Friday to verify I was coming I asked about the price change. They stated they did work while in service and that constituted the price change. When asked what service was done I was contacted by Nathan and given what was done. System scan, removed wheel locks, tire rotation, replaced a tpms sensor, wheel alignment and cabin air filter. In total $636 in work. He then asked if I wanted to come view the car. I stated I wasn’t interested due to the price change. His exact words “well I have 2 other people on the hook for this car”. Week later and I see they raised the price to $21,983. Typical dealer games, advertise low to get interest then raise the price. I would not recommend this dealership after this experience. More
Dealer fraud! Beware! bought a car from there. They fixed the Carfax to hide a damage report to the front end. I found this out after I had purchased a Carfax repo Beware! bought a car from there. They fixed the Carfax to hide a damage report to the front end. I found this out after I had purchased a Carfax report myself after my mechanic said the car had been wrecked. The Carfax I bought showed that there was an incident over a year before I had purchased the car. The dealer gave No disclosure of the damage, I was told everything worked great . They also never put the inspection report in the files I was supposed to receive, so I have no idea of knowing how much was wrong with the car. My car now needs a new part from something relating to the damage the dealer hid from me and they are avoiding me by not calling me back and basically laughing at me on the phone every time I call. I even asked if the extended warranty I bought would cover it but yet to hear a response. Whoever answers just says I can leave a message and they’ll call back. They never call back. More
Worked with Mike Nichols on a car we wanted and saw online - and the process was simple and painless. Found a great car, no hassles, upfront information on the trade-in, and would work with Mike again online - and the process was simple and painless. Absolutely the worst place to look for a car. Scammers, liars, thieves and classic bait and switch. This place should not even be allowed to conduct business. I have never in all of my car buying Scammers, liars, thieves and classic bait and switch. This place should not even be allowed to conduct business. I have never in all of my car buying years experienced such low down dirty con artists. I never write mean reviews but please if you read this take everything I say as total truth. You will notice they are the same as everyone else’s on here and other rating websites. I wreck my car and need a new one , so I stop at Northcoast. I tell them my credit score which admittedly isn’t great and my occupation. I’m a delivery driver so sometimes financing is a bit more difficult for us. I give them bank statements, pay stubs, a letter from my insurance stating my car is a total loss etc.. They tell me they found a car for me and $1500 is all I need down. Great!!! I’m excited and hustle to come up with the money in three days. I go to the dealership with my money and am told the car sold .although it’s still listed for sale on their website. They begin trying to sell me on other cars that I have no interest in so I get mad and leave. I call when I get home to ask what the issue is and speak to a sales manager who said he would call me back after two more calls that night I still have yet to hear from him. I was so mad that I left a message with the BBB. Here is the best part of this story . Today they call and say that they found me the needle in the haystack of a car, somehow they thought I had a trade in, although I made it very clear that I didn’t. Mind you I’ve given them every document they want and still the process takes three hours just so they can tell me I need a co-signer. There was never any talk of a co signer, there was never a deal with the bank. They said i misrepresented my income, that’s impossible given the bank statements that I gave them. They will try to place blame on you for their lies and fraud!! Finally the manager Emily comes over and asks me if I will take down my negative review on the BBB website. That’s so low and unethical. What I wrote was truth. They bait and switch, they advertise as buy here pay here which they aren’t and they lie about financing. I’m so disgusted that I plan on taking these complaints as far as I can. I might even seek legal advice More
The car is great. The sales tactics are what you need to watch out for. They will sneak the extended warranty in on you because your signing stuff so fast with no time The sales tactics are what you need to watch out for. They will sneak the extended warranty in on you because your signing stuff so fast with no time to read it and take it all in... They won't tell you you're buying it like a tire or TV salesman would. I have never been fond of car salesmen... You're going to get screwed. Just how much is the question? If explained, I would not take an extended warranty! I'd never come here for this fact... Warranty snuck in period... I really don't know how some of these salesmen sleep at night, but you reap what you sew! Plus, for my credit rating loan interest was way too high! More
