I was sold a LEMON ! 1. I purchased a used Infiniti QX60 from Freeman Hyundai, after driving it for three months thick white smoke started coming out the exhaust pipe. 1. I purchased a used Infiniti QX60 from Freeman Hyundai, after driving it for three months thick white smoke started coming out the exhaust pipe. When I took it to be looked at there was slugging from the oil never being changed, even though there was an oil change sticker from freeman Hyundai said they changed it. 2. I took it back to them to see what they would do, I was told by a manager, there’s nothing that could be done cause they are not a Infiniti dealership. 3. I was then told after two days of them having my car, what they could do was an even trade, I purchased a car 4000$ less that what I had, only for them to somehow add the $4K and tell me due to inflation, taxes and title that’s the number they got. 4. I also asked about the $4000 down payment I put on the first car, I was told by the finance manager the best he could get me back was 1500$, he then adds it on to my amount being financed. 5. It’s been a month and the 1500$ I was told I was getting back by Steven VanLooy and the finance manager, they still have no update on that even though they got the check from Ally Auto for the car. The used car sales manager told me they buy cars from the auction, this time they purchased and sold the wrong one. I DO NOT recommend buy a used car not a new car from this lot. More
Sales is iffy, finance was fine. I didn't like the feeling I got from the sales guy - he gave me an odd compliment about my appearance only after my father left the room. I worked with the finance office here because they share finance staff with Freeman Mazda (much better experience, and where I ultimately bought a car) and I had a good experience with the finance guy. I have bought 2 used vehicles from them in last 6 years and both times, it has been an awesome experience. Recently Edida Garcia attended us and she is such a wonderful sales person to deal with. Went in for a scheduled appointment (appt was scheduled 3 weeks in advanced) for recall repair for my Genesis. No one in service had any idea about the scheduled appointment and the reason provided as that t weeks in advanced) for recall repair for my Genesis. No one in service had any idea about the scheduled appointment and the reason provided as that the appointment reminders are auto generated and Freeman doesn’t have the part available to service the recall. Makes no sense why schedule an appointment when you don’t have the part or even a decency to call and notify regarding lack of replacement part availability in advance. Again, the dealership sent out reminder for servicing the recall appointment via email and text. To all Genesis owners please don’t take your car for recall that’s been issued by Genesis to Freeman Hyundai Genesis in Irving, Texas. This recall is safety related and issue is reported to NHTSA as well. I don’t think this dealership is ready to service recalls on Genesis. For sales they can sell Genesis but for servicing Genesis products they are not ready yet. More
Worked with Lauren on a new purchase. She was very helpful and patient as we decided what we wanted. As we were driving the car off the lot one of the wiper blades did not work but Lauren took it back helpful and patient as we decided what we wanted. I would definitely think twice, before buying again from Freeman. The initial purchase went fine. The rest tells me there are serious issues at the dealership. Then the sales manager Brad Collins, contacted me, twice. So, I returned his email, only to be ghosted and I never heard back from him! Another sales person?, Larry Chase did call me and we discussed a deal and he promised to get back to me. Again only to to ghosted by Larry and I never heard back from him. I purchased a 2018 Sonata Turbo. The "finance guy" tried to sell me an extended warranty. I aske why I needed one and he replied that the turbo charger was not covered under the 100K warranty. I asked if he was sure about this and he responded that he would ask the service manager. He came back shortly and confirmed that there was no coverage. In that case I told him I couldn't buy the car and left. By the time I got home I had been called five times asking me to come back and that the "finance guy" was mistaken. He lied to me and I knew it as I had read the owner's manual. I bought the car because the deal was good but I would be careful in finance, they have no integrity. More
Edida Cruz was our sales person and she did a phenomenal job.
