We bought from Huggins because of honest and open customer service. It was truely a "no haggle" experience. We were given a price by email, which was honored at the dealership without question. We've never had such a hastle free experience buying a car. More
I had a pre approved loan from a finance company for $14,000 for 60 months and they referred me to Huggins Honda saying they do a lot of business with them and they would have the used car in the right $14,000 for 60 months and they referred me to Huggins Honda saying they do a lot of business with them and they would have the used car in the right price range. I went online and looked to see what they had to offer. I filled out the nag screen with my personal info and I received an email from Winnie Nguyen thanking me for my interest in a Honda Element and that she would work up a quote. I replied to her letting her know about my pre-approval and that I was looking for a used car. No reply that evening. I also die the Auto Trader instant trade in on their site that tells you how much they will offer you for your trade in. That offer is good for 72 hours. I was pleased that it was over and above what I still owed. Today, I get up early, get all my papers together and head from Dallas to North Richland Hills. About 5 minutes away, I receive an email from Anna Byrd replying to my email and letting me know they would "work hard to earn my business" and give me "top dollar" for my trade in. She wanted to know what time I would be in so that her managers would know when to expect me. Surprise! I was pulling in at that very moment! I pulled up and there was a guy waiting at the front door for me. I told him I had received an email from Winnie and Anna. He directed me to Winnie, I introduced myself and she said "Oh yes" and stated that she was aware of my online submission. I told her again who the finance company was, she walked over to the internet, pulled up my name in that finance company's database and then said she would be right back. A couple of minutes later, she brought me and passed me off to Brook. This is where it turns bizarre. He shakes my hand and then starts firing off questions about what I am looking for. I asked him if Winnie or Anna had relayed ANY of the info I have already submitted and he said "I know nothing, don't assume I know anything, because I don't" He kept sighing as I RE-explained my situation...pre-approved, used car, $14,000, etc.... He's clearly aggravated with me but I'm not sure why. He asked questions about what the finance company would do or not do and I told him, the only thing I know is pre-approved, $14,000, etc... He says "Welllll, I'll do what I can to help you, (heavy sigh, shrugging of shoulders), (very insincerely). I said "Do you even want to sell me a car because it sure doesn't seem like it.?" He didn't think I would be able to get much of a car for that amount and pulled up the internet as he sighed as if I was wasting his time. At one point he told me he was on the "internet" team and that he works from appointments. I clearly didn't have one, maybe he's OCD and it aggravated him that I just walked in off of the street. I was telling him that I had been looking at Kia Souls but that it was hard to find a used one. He then he tells me I should go to Kia Moritz and talk to his friend. LOL I finally agreed just so I could get out of there. It was so awkward and I felt like he was treating me like a sub standard human since I didn't have A1 financing and he wasn't going to sell a new car and make a big commission. I left there and then I called Anna, (whom I never even saw) and told her what happened and that I felt like if you guys didn't want my business you should have just told me. Not turn me over to Brook so you could run me off. It seemed like the whole thing was orchestrated. It was like they said, Nope, let's get rid of this one. It will be a waste of time so let's sick Brook on her and he'll be rude and obnoxious and get rid of her so we can deal with the A1 people. She said to email her about it and she would let her manager know. Whatever! Like that's gonna happen. I am sure she was in on it too. Man, nothing like being made to feel like a loser so early on a Saturday morning. So unless you have A-1 credit, I wouldn't advise you to go here for a car! Not unless you like abuse. I am telling everyone I know and posting this everywhere I can so that the word gets out. Honesty would have been nice...they could have just said "Ma'am, we appreciate you bringing your business to us but we don't have a lot of cars in stock that would fit your needs. Perhaps you should make a couple more payments on your car before trading it in so you have some more equity and come back at another time." I would have respected that a whole lot more. Oh and Brook, you really should wash up after the cigarette breaks because you reek! Hey maybe that's why he was so irritable, she interrupted his smoke break to deal with me. Hmmm.... LOL More
We were treated very poorly at this dealership. The used car sales person that we delt with was terrible. He looked at us like you can't afford a car?? When asking about options he said he couldn't tell by car sales person that we delt with was terrible. He looked at us like you can't afford a car?? When asking about options he said he couldn't tell by his computer what car had what options but yet did not offer to walk around the parking lot to see or look for a car that had the options we were looking for. Finally after getting very little information I abrubtly said lets go, call us if you find what we are looking for and he just looked at us. I guess everything happens for a reason because that same day we purchased a brand new, not used car from another dealership and are very pleased with the deal we received and most importantly the treatment! I was quoted an internet price and was advised of the .9% I was quoted an internet price and was advised of the .9% financing promotion. I went to the dealer and after going back and forth with Javier and hi I was quoted an internet price and was advised of the .9% financing promotion. I went to the dealer and after going back and forth with Javier and his sales manager, I was told in order to receive the financing promotion that I would have to pay full sticker price. This was classic bait and switch. I have purchased many new cars and have never paid sticker price. What a scam.. The sticker price was 4000. dollars above what I was quoted on the internet e mail from a sales rep. I thought that this type of behavior from dealers went away with the 60's! More
Kudos to my salesman Paul Garret, and loan officer Crystal..... The rest of the dealership and service is a scam and the higher up u go the ruder and unprofessional they are. Certified used car?? BULL Crystal..... The rest of the dealership and service is a scam and the higher up u go the ruder and unprofessional they are. Certified used car?? BULL***,BULL***, Don't fall for it! Buy a regular used car it's cheaper cuz u get NOTHING extra for the price of a "Certified Car from Huggins" They sold me a Certified Car with tires that are cracked all around the sidewalls while the checklist is checked saying it meets "Honda Standards". I take it to the service dept and the service guy agrees I need new tires and will contact me as soon as he runs it by the sales mgr and the tires come in. When I don't receive a call for almost 2 weeks I call and I'm redirected to the rude sales mgr who informs me he denied the request to replace the tires. I asked him if he saw the tires and he replied "NO that's not my job, I have a competent staff to do that" When I told him I was told by other Honda dealerships that the tires were definitely unacceptable & did not meet Honda Standards he rudely told me I have the option to go buy tires at my expense! I am not through dealing with the situation. I have filed complaints through the BBB, FTC, and will continue to do what's necessary to stop these crooks from ripping off consumers! STAY AWAY FROM HUGGINS HONDA UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF! More
I was completely satisfied with my experience at Huggins Honda! This was my 2nd purchase from Huggins and even though my first experience was good, I believe my 2nd experience was even better! I would def Honda! This was my 2nd purchase from Huggins and even though my first experience was good, I believe my 2nd experience was even better! I would definitely rate my overall experience with Huggins Honda as ‘excellent’! The entire team, including Billy Slater, worked hard to insure my satisfaction. As much as I loved my 2008 Honda Accord, I honestly love my 2010 even more. Thanks so much to Billy and the rest of the team at Huggins who worked quietly in the background to insure that I once again got a car I love at a great price! More
Huggins Honda was awesome when I went shopping for my new car. I got a Honda Civic last week, a car that I am really loving! I was treated with respect and felt like they were very honest with me. My sale car. I got a Honda Civic last week, a car that I am really loving! I was treated with respect and felt like they were very honest with me. My salesman, Jim, went above and beyond to help me get a very good price….and I got a good deal on my trade in, which really made all the difference. I could not be happier with the customer service Huggins Honda. I definitely recommend this dealership if you need a new car! More
I recently took my 2004 honda civic to huggins for an oil change, but it turned out that the drain plug in my oil pan was stripped out and needed to be replaced. I had them do it and a short while later, I n change, but it turned out that the drain plug in my oil pan was stripped out and needed to be replaced. I had them do it and a short while later, I noticed an oil leak. I took the car back to them and they stated that my rear main oil seal was leaking. Skeptical, I sought out another opinion (a honda/acura specialist) and they said that it was highly unlikely that a car with 62K miles had a rear main oil seal leak, especially after getting the oil pan replaced recently. The specialist stated that he could count on one hand how many rear main oil seals that he has changed in 13 years. These were usually 92 and older models with a million miles on it. The honda acura specialist stated that the oil pan and rear main are 1/2 inch apart and it is easy to mistake one for the other. Huggins also stated that the rear main oil leak was due to the car sitting for long periods of time. Mine is an every day driver and my sit for 1 or 2 days at the most. My point is that they should have admitted that the oil pan gasket was incorrectly installed by not using honda glide (instead of silicone) or that the gasket has metal washers that may have been stuck on the gasket surface during removal. The service staff was friendly and all, but trying to gouge a customer is just plain wrong. I also know of another individual who had a problem with their CRV engine and huggins wanted to replace to whole engine. They took it to my specialist and got the valves adjusted for a measly $200. Anyway, I will not be taking my car there anymore and plan on telling other honda owners this story. More
I would recommend this dealership for service very friendly. I will say it takes about hour to get oil changed! Very slow in service department. Used car sales was horrible very rude guy about the friendly. I will say it takes about hour to get oil changed! Very slow in service department. Used car sales was horrible very rude guy about there price! He almost made my wife cry!! Dont ever go there for used car sales. The finance guy was very apologetic about his sales guy. After that experience i thought i would have gotten a call or something to ask about it. Nothing ever! I own a company if i knew my sales guy treated someone like that i would have fired him and done something to say sorry about it. Maybe he was having a bad day. I know life is about perspective so it taken me a few years to write about this. I doubt anyone from the used car department will read this but my name is Wesley Cannon 940-389-4941. bushido300@gmail.com. We bought a 04' Honda Odyssey. I don't remember any names. More
Huggins Honda made a stressful process very easy and smooth. We were immediately greeted by Steve Walker, whose laid back style and attentiveness made him perfect for our car buying experience. I ha smooth. We were immediately greeted by Steve Walker, whose laid back style and attentiveness made him perfect for our car buying experience. I had a trade with negative equity and was trying to stay within a budget while buying my new car. I really wanted an Accord but thought I might have to get a Civic just to keep within my means. We got everything worked out so I drove out in the exact car I wanted with not a lot of hassle or fuss. I had already been to a different Honda dealership in the area and walked out without buying anything because they were not willing to work with me AT ALL and were pushy and rude. I am definitely glad I decided to go to Huggins Honda instead. The whole process from start to finish was so pleasant. More
