Nissan of Elizabeth City responded

The vehicle 1st visit for “Customer states that the vehicle was jerking and acted like it wanted to cut off” After multiple test drives, the Service Department could not duplicate the customers concerns and the vehicle was returned to customer. Mileage at time of write up was 131771. Date of 2/24/2015 The Vehicle 2nd visit for “Customer states lack of power on takeoff” After multiple test drives, to include one with the customer the Service Department could not duplicate the customers concerns and the vehicle was returned to the customer. Mileage at time of write up was 139630. Date 5/18/2015 The Vehicle 3rd visit for “Customer states the car started shaking when taking off and would not go over 10 mph. Put car in reverse and wouldn’t move” vehicle was towed in had no gears and a loud metallic noise coming from the transmission. Advised customer that the Transmission had a catastrophic failure and the replacement cost of a Nissan Remanufactured Transmission and labor would be $2500.00. Mileage at time of write up 140270. Date of 6/30/2015 Alliance Nissan understands the customers’ frustrations. But without duplicating the issue on the previous visits and the time between the incidents, (4 month period and 9000 miles) Alliance Nissan was unable to faithfully diagnosis the customers concern. The vehicle would have been out of warranty on the first visit had we been able to duplicate and diagnosis the issue at that time. Nissan Power train warranty is 5 years 60,000 mile which ever may come first.
