A few days after the service I noticed that part of it had been done incorrectly. I called several times and asked to speak to the general manager. Always "he's not available now" I finally asked that they ask him to call me. He never did. More
I walked into the dealership with my wife and son and was promptly greeted by two salespeople. I expressed my preference in the Sonata and they were able to locate one that would fullfill our needs. We took promptly greeted by two salespeople. I expressed my preference in the Sonata and they were able to locate one that would fullfill our needs. We took a test drive and returned to the dealership to negotiate a deal. The salesperson, Irene Domingo took all the required information and asked the standard question...How much down? and How much a month? I gave her the figures that I was comfortable in paying. Once presented to the sales manager, Matt, he immediately joined the discussion. I TOLD Matt that "I DO NOT pay sticker price on any new vehicle" but that went over his head. He then told me that I did not know how to calculate because the figures didn't match the asking price of the car. He then insulted me even more that I did not know how to BUY a car. Granted, I am a youthful looking 50 year old Grandfather that has made 3 NEW car purchases over the last 9 years and bought my first car at 17, Matt continued to belittle me in front of my wife and son. Our conversation became very HEATED and then Matt asked me to step outside. In the heat of battle when asked to step outside, prepare to defend yourself. Fortunately my wife came between us and no blows were thrown. I do not condone violence to resolve any matter but when challenged, I WILL defend myself. I have contacted Hyundai Consumer Affairs regarding this matter and hope to have it resolved quickly. I DO NOT recommend this dealership or any of their affiliates on auto row (Nissan, Kia) More
My wife and I dropped by today because this was the nearest Hyundai dealership to our house, and because their online inventory said they had two Elantra Tourings in stock. The first sales person I spo nearest Hyundai dealership to our house, and because their online inventory said they had two Elantra Tourings in stock. The first sales person I spoke with was sitting at a computer. I had to speak to him twice to get his attention. His English was poor but he finally said that the Elantra Tourings were "in back" but only one person had the key to "in back." He said the guy with the key might be back soon--he didn't know. He turned back to his computer. We wandered through the parking lot waiting for "the guy with the key." Eventually another salesman approached us. His English was even worse than the first salesman, but at least he understood we hadn't been dealt with in professional manner, so he hustled inside. Unfortunately, he didn't return. Instead, the first salesman (the one who had blown us off) came out several minutes later looking unhappy and unenthused. He pointed to a car as if we were supposed to get in. We asked him where we were going. He mumbled something about Elantra behind the Nissan dealer. Both my wife and I were looking at each other like "Is this guy for real?" I asked how long it would take to get there since we really just wanted to see if a guy of my height had enough leg room in an Elantra. Without missing a beat he said "Maybe you will want to come back later." We said "not likely" and walked to our car. The second salesman looked unhappy as we drove past him out through the parking lot. Given the level of interest this dealer seems to show in its potential customers, we will look elsewhere. And Hyundai USA really ought to look at this dealership. You can improve your cars all you want, but if you have idiots like these selling them you're in deep trouble... More
