Called and made an appointment for oil change and tire rotation for 7am. Dropped the vehicle off the night before as we would be busy and needed the car back asap. At 10am called to inquire on the status rotation for 7am. Dropped the vehicle off the night before as we would be busy and needed the car back asap. At 10am called to inquire on the status of the vehicle and was told they would call right back. At 11am called again and again someone would get back to us. At noon decided to drive there and get the vehicle. On the way get a call asking if we want cabin filter and brake fluid change. Declined both. On arrival at the 5.5 hour mark from the appointment it still is not ready. Finally its ready to go so pay and leave. Upon reading the emailed statement of service it was written the vehicle needs brakes and tires that was declined. Can't decline something you weren't told about. We currently own 2 Toyotas from Newark Toyota and in a month will be shopping for third SUV. After this it will xxxx sure not be from Newark or Price toyota. More
They found me a car in exactly the trim, color and mileage I wanted when no one else could, at a price that was competitive at the time. The sales guy was exceptionally kind and helpful. I was struggling with dealing with the warranty company and dealership from whom I purchased my car. “Chris” made sure that I was taken care and he truly advocated for me on the phone with these companies and dealership from whom I purchased my car. “Chris” made sure that I was taken care and he truly advocated for me on the phone with these companies. He went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care. I am new to this area and have been looking for a dealership to service my Toyota. They have won my business. I also stopped in a few weeks prior bc I needed a valve cap for one of my tires and they generously gave me four of them without asking for anything from me and I wasn’t a customer at the time.I hope that my experiences with them continue on this level. So far, I’m impressed. More
The 2 stars are because I get my car serviced at this location and the customer service is awesome. I have a Toyota Camry 2018 LE. The car started making a rattling sound near the driver-side dashboard a location and the customer service is awesome. I have a Toyota Camry 2018 LE. The car started making a rattling sound near the driver-side dashboard a few months after I bought the car. I have been complaining to them for a few years, and I used to talk to them about this, but they say they need to keep the car to look at the problem. I drive my car daily, so I don't get time to drop off my car at the service center for them to look at. After all this, I complained to Newark Toyota World, and the next day I got a call from Derrick (Service Manager) saying that he don't see any written complaint in the history(not my fault they never wrote the problem)and said they provide only 1 year of warranty on this kind of problems and I will need to pay 300-400 dollars just to get it inspected. (Rudely said) if you want to get it checked call me on the provided number and hang up. More

I am a long time customer as well as most of my family. Up until about two years ago I would have given a fantastic review but since then I have had a number of negative experiences. The incident that has Up until about two years ago I would have given a fantastic review but since then I have had a number of negative experiences. The incident that has prompted me to write this occurred 2/3/23 with an assistant service manager. I dropped the car off at 830 amfor an oil change and had a service pass. My car had been squeaking and people said it was the brake. I told him and he put an order for a brake inspect in addition to the oil change I told him it was included in the service pass. He said it wasn’t. I tried to show it to him (he did not)and he said to bring it in when it was done. He did not ask if I was waiting or not. I walked to work and waited for a call. I ended up calling Toyota at 230. A woman said she would inquire and get back. I asked why it was taking so long and she said preference was given to people who had an appointment ( I did) and were waiting ( they didn’t know). I said I would like to know if I need to get a ride home or cancel my weekend plans. I get a call a bit later and am sent a quote which still has the $50 break inspection. I sent a text back about the service pass for the brake inspection. No answer. At 6 pm I walked over to Toyota and I still had not heard a thing. I texted that I was in the lobby waiting and he instantly texted it was all ready. Guess what was still on the bill? I showed him the pass on my phone and he said it didn’t apply even though it says in black and white that it does. My mom said “he isn’t going to take it off?” very loudly and all of a sudden he says “Oh, I almost forgot to take it off!” He had no intention of doing it but a supervisor was standing next to him when my mom said that loudly. He ignored me 3 times, and two of those times he told me I was wrong. He lied and insulted my intelligence, which is ironic considering he couldn’t read the back of the service pass. Frank, I don’t know if you are either lazy or something more sinister but when you don’t listen or lie to a customer (for whatever reason) they will ALWAYS remember. They will never trust what you say because once you lie, in their eyes, every word that comes out of your mouth from then on is a lie. There is a word you should look up. ACCOUNTABILITY. Besides that, my mom and I bring our cars in usually within a week of each other for maintenance. It is an amazing coincidence how both of us will have almost identical expensive recommendations made by the mechanic that are crucial to get done immediately. Except our cars are completely different aged and types. How odd. More
