Great Service Dept! Tommy and his people are nice, straight forward, and honest. I have been to a lot of service places and these guys are by far the best. They tell Tommy and his people are nice, straight forward, and honest. I have been to a lot of service places and these guys are by far the best. They tell the truth, don't try to sell you something you don't need, and are regular people who actually care about you. It's nice to see people like this especially in todays world. - Felice Mariani Jr 2020 Traverse More
I wish I could give this dealership a zero rating. I purchased a car from a local listing and decided to take the car to get a full diagnostic report. The car had a CEL due to a bad O2 sensor. I wante I purchased a car from a local listing and decided to take the car to get a full diagnostic report. The car had a CEL due to a bad O2 sensor. I wanted to make sure that was the only issue and nothing else. I also wanted them to add a fender liner on the driver side as the original one was beginning to fall off. After dropping the car off I was asked if it was okay to do an additional test for another $500 instead of the single test for $250. I told them to hold off, they went and did it anyway. I was then called and told that they couldn't do anything to the car as it had an O2 sensor issue, which I was already aware of so because of this they couldn't actually check to see if the car had any further issues, and when I asked about the fender liner, the dealership explained to me that "GM is currently on strike and no parts can be obtained." This was the biggest scam ever. These guys are criminals and the worst part about it was the car had a low battery that they couldn't even detect which is scary. This is supposed to be filled with certified mechanics and no one can find a bad battery. Terrible terrible place, avoid. More
I will post every negative review about New Rochelle Chevy and the Managing Director Thomas DeSola. I went to this dealer 4x for a recall that they called me in for, and it was always something every time. 1. they called me in stating parts were in and I should bring the car in made the appt with them to bring the car in the next The car set there all day and was advised they weren't aware I had an appt because the part was on backorder. I gave the name of the woman who advised me that the part was in and was told the part was not in and I don't know what to tell you. waited a week called was told to bring the car in because part came in when I got there Thomas DeSola was disrespectful and arrogant and informed me I had to pay for it as all the recall wasn't covered. I asked why I hadn't told this previously he responded it was a mistake things happened that's all I have to say. I asked him to make the situation right i have been here 4x dealing with this. He stated I'm not going to do the repairs I'll send you to another dealership I don't feel comfortable working on your car. New Rochelle Chevy is the worst. More
Came in for an oil change, their technology scan they perform at drop off caught the sensor needing a new part. Tommy and Anthony at this dealership were the kindest and most accommodating dealership men perform at drop off caught the sensor needing a new part. Tommy and Anthony at this dealership were the kindest and most accommodating dealership men I have ever dealt with. It is refreshing and appreciated to hear and see them both take accountability and go above and beyond to rectify. Big hearts and sincerity does exist at this dealership between these two guys. I will continue to go to New Rochelle Chevy because of the hard work and progressive changes they bring to the table. Thank you both for turning a not so great week into one with a smile! ******* More
Came in for my safety inspection and Emilio and Tom were absolutely wonderful! It was a cold, rainy day and they made sure to get my inspection done as quickly as possible! I was back home in no time. Never absolutely wonderful! It was a cold, rainy day and they made sure to get my inspection done as quickly as possible! I was back home in no time. It st Had a gold front bowtie emblem replaced with black by this dealership a year ago. It recently got blown off the car by dryers at a car wash. It still looks like new, with all four clips intact. The front fascia that holds the emblem in place is missing three out of four pieces of plastic that hold the emblem clips. Given how good the black emblem looks, it would appear that missing plastic pieces were broken or weakened before the black emblem was put in place. Since we got the car new, their technician who swapped the emblems may have manhandled it, broke some pieces, weakened others, then it was just a question of time. Manager Sheik was not ready to accept any accountability for the issue: "it's now a year later so it couldn't have been due to our work" (guess I was unlucky that it held up this long), "where else did you service the car, since even leaning on the emblem from outside while doing service work could have weakened the clips" (don't believe this is possible given design), and "there are some pry marks on the front fascia, behind the emblem" (likely from manhandling during removal of the old emblem). Then the service technician Brian Cook, with double-sided tape in his hand, asks "are we going to put this back or not"? I was not willing to take further abuse, so I took the emblem and left without service. Never again Chevy, let alone this dealership. More
This reference relates to the service department only. I bought my vehicle here in 2020 and had no issue with the sales department. In fact, I had been to the service department last summer, and I had a I bought my vehicle here in 2020 and had no issue with the sales department. In fact, I had been to the service department last summer, and I had a great experience. But my experience in November has soured me on this dealership in a big way. On Friday, November 26, I drove to New Rochelle Chevrolet for my confirmed appointment for servicing. I had received an email just that morning reminding me of the appointment and telling me to call if I needed to change it. When I arrived on time - having driven to New Rochelle from about 40 minutes away -- I encountered another driver with an appointment for service. (He had made an appointment because he needed service for a recall related to steering on his truck.) We soon both discovered that the service department was closed that whole day (which was the day after Thanksgiving). When I checked at the front desk of the dealership shortly afterwards, I was told that I was already the 12th customer to show up asking about the service department. Apparently, the computer was left open for appointments all day and no one bothered to reach out to customers to notify them that the entire service department was going to be closed. I left my name and number and later in the day, someone called me and scheduled service for the next day at the Express area. That night, I got an absurd computer-generated email scolding me for missing my appointment. The next day, I drove back to New Rochelle and had the car served. Jessica at the Express area was quite nice and even though she had no guidance from anyone in charge of the service department, she gave me a 10 percent discount on my oil change, i.e. a $6.95 discount. (Jessica is the reason why I'm giving 2 stars instead of just one.) Jessica's discount probably just covered the cost of the gas I wasted driving the wasted 40 mile roundtrip to and from New Rochelle the day before. It certainly didn't cover the wasted hour plus of my time. After waiting to hear back from service department management, I emailed the head of the department in early December and never got a response. Later, I filled out the dealership satisfaction survey and related exactly what happened. I got back the following form response: -------- Hello, thank you for leaving us feedback. We are disappointed to hear that your experience was not a positive one. We would like the opportunity to address your concerns. Please reach out to us directly at [phone number] when you have a chance. Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you. ------- I responded to the form response by email to say that I had already provided details. No answer. I later telephoned to follow up as requested. The number provided turned out to be the main switchboard number. When I asked for the service department and then explained what happened, I spoke to someone who said that the head of the service department had just come down with COVID, but he could take a message so that I could eventually be called back. That was about two months ago. Nothing. Since I bought my car at this dealership, I have since gone out of my way to have the car serviced there. Given the experience I had on Friday the 26th and the lack of an apology from management, meaningful compensation for my inconvenience, or even prompt response to emails, I don't plan to return. More

I called the dealership twice and was basically told I'm on my own. I tried the service department and then the salesman who sold me the car. I was told to look out for a letter from GM but no direction on when this might come. They told me to call GM directly. I asked for the number to call and they said, "just google it." Basically, this dealership says that after they sold you the car they take no responsibility whatsoever. Buyer beware. More
