To begin with, I went to this dealer because they placed an ad in the Chicago Sun-Times paper about a huge sale they were running. I went here on friday in search of a chevy malibu. Ken Walters seemed nice at first. When he noticed he could not get me a chevy malibu he offered me a dodge caliber. I rejected that offer and he then offered me a 2010 chevy malibu that was to be traded in the following Saturday. Saturday after waiting from 3pm-9pm and beginning to sign the paper work for the malibu, the dealer (Eric Gramlich-business manager) claimed they could not accept a check for a down payment (after one of their team members said it was alright). Therefore, I had to continue to pay for a daily rental until the following Tuesday. When I arrived Tuesday with cash, they decide to tell me unless I had more cash, that I could not get the car I wanted. I tried so hard to get this one specific vehicle and even tried speaking with Lou Soluri (sales manger). This man was the rudest person in the dealer. He basically told my mother and I that if we did not have more cash or accepted the dodge caliber they would give me my money back and that if I did not like it I could leave. Not to mention he was talking to me rudely with a mouth full of food. When I asked to speak to Mo Muhsen (general sales manager) everyone claimed he was in a meeting. Yet, I seen him come to the showroom to grab his lunch.I got a 2010 chevy malibu from suzuki of Glenview. This has been my dream car since 2008! Suzuki of Glenview is the only dealer out of about 6, who could get me financed with my low credit score and small credit history. The customer service was friendly and I will definitely continue to do business with this dealer. I highly recommend this dealer because the employees are genuinely trying to help you. Finally deciding what I wanted to purchase I visited River Oaks Chrysler and met Bob Gator. He programmed my cell phone to the uconnect system, thoroughly explained my navigation system and set my address in my new Chrysler 200. I felt like i was treated like family throuout the entire purchase process. Even Lou that promissed me lifetime car washes when i'm in the area. The new car manager Roger was very fair about pricing to help me purchase the vehicle. The geneeral sales manager Mo worked very hard with the bank to get me a very low interest rate and affordable payment. As you can see when shopping for an automobile the head aches and aggevation you go through to make that decesion, but at Napleton River Oaks CJD, they gave me the red carpet treatment and never felt pressured to make the purchase. I was told I would get a year of XM radio and that I would be able to directly connect my Ipod to the hard-drive in my vehicle to download music. These features were the deciding factor in my $24,000 decision. After signing the papers and getting in my car I was told the XM only came with the upgraded model. I thought my Ipod wasn't connecting to the car because it was old, so I bought a new one. When that didn't work, I came to the service department where I found out that the feature isn't available - I actually wasted money not only on the car, but on a new Ipod. I've never been more upset. I realize I can plug in my Ipod and listen to it with out storing it to the hard-drive, but I could have done that in any of the other cars I looked at. If it wasn't for the salesman deceiving me, I would have gone with the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport that had the push to start and keyless entry. This is my first major purchase, I have to work two jobs to pay for this and I'm going to be stuck with this car I regret for the next seven years. I'm sick about it and I can't believe people just lied to me and took advantage of me on such a major decision. More
